Parking was a nightmare on Fed Hill but it's a Saturday evening so it's understandable Walking in we was seated immediately for a party of 2 It's beautiful inside, music was great ( not to loud) My husband and I both ordered Mofongos. 1 was a churrasco mofongo in a red sauce and the other was a grilled chicken mofongo with a white sauce. These things were HUGE definitely feeds 2 people. I honestly preferred the white sauce but the mofongo was sooooo tasty. What I loved is that it was made in its original form with chicharon. The steak was cooked exactly how it was requested Medium well, and the grilled chicken was very juicy. To top the night I had a frothy expresso, I wish it was a bit darker but that's just preference The ONLY reason I didn't give this place a full 5 star was due to the a pipe condensation occurring right above our seat. Even after mentioning it to the server, they seemed to be aware of it and yet sit people near risking that water dripping into peoples food. I constantly had to wipe my arm off and had my plate towards the edge of the table to avoid the drips. This was my first time here. I came here to eat with my manager that was in town. It was a nice night so we sat outside. Not sure that was a great idea because there was a lot of flies. I also saw a mouse or a rat whatever you wanna call it. It is Providence and tons of restaurants so not surprising. The seating outside was horrible. I felt like I was sitting on the ground because the chairs were so low. I felt like a child so I had to use my back cushion to sit on so it could be a little higher. Our waitress wasn't bad. Terra Luna is a Latin/Caribbean American Restaurant in Providence around Federal Hill My wife and I were in town for a graduation at Brown University, graduation time tends to be busier than usual. On a Friday night, a friend who is a local recommended this place and we were able to get a table pretty quickly without a reservation. This place is in the Federal Hill area which on Friday night had a lot of bar and restaurant activity. Parking near the place seemed a little challenging, we ended up parking down the street a couple blocks at the Walgreens Parking Lot, there are no outside parking signs but my friend says they don't check. Their cocktails are pretty strong so you get your money's worth there. We ordered a bunch of bar food (nachos, chicken wings, etc) which was pretty good. My first time going to Terra Luna on Federal Hill. My daughter brought me here for my birthday lunch. She said it's a Dominican restaurant. The lunch special ate reasonable with different options, they also have a good $5 special drink menu. The appetizers were really good as was the Margarita. My lunch special was ok the fish seemed like it came from a supermarket and not a fish import. It was pretty flat. They do have hookah if your into that. They play music and gave and inside and in the summer outside seating. We did sit in a covered outside area which was cool but the plastic going around us could use some cleaning, you couldn't see outside much and the mold settling in between the plastic is not appealing. They also have some construction going on so you have to be careful going into the restaurant, the inside in nicely done, the bathroom could use some redoing and maybe build an additional bathroom as one is not enough. We got to sit right away, because we saw some friends and asked if we could sit at the table right next to them. It then took about 20mins to be acknowledged and to order. We flagged down one guy who said he was just the hookah guy & walked away. We started off with drinks - which I am pretty sure were watered down, but still good. My party and I ordered the churrasco steak, paella, coconut shrimp, and beef empanadas. The appetizers weren't worth it, but the entrees were filling! I loved the churrasco sauce paired with the steak and rice; definitely shareable with 2-3 other people. The paella was also delicious, we had to take it home for leftovers. They have hookah - but it is not on the menu. You have to ask for it. They do have several flavors to choose from. Maybe not the most kid-friendly environment, but definitely a vibe for a night out with friends on the Hill or a date night. Service was fine and parking is in front of the restaurant, but you will have to pay. I think I'd definitely come back, but be more aware of what to order next time beforehand. read more

I absolutely understand that 's was my fault, but then I tipped on top of that. So essentially I left a 40% tip. I noticed when I walked into the restaurant, it took a few mins to be greeted, but I meant a gentleman by the name of Byran (hookah specialist). He greeted me and was able to get settled at a table with my date. He was very polite and well mannered. In a joking way I told the hooah was made with love and sure enough, he made it with love. Let me start off with how the food was, I had a dish come out with a dead cockroach in it. I hate to give restaurants a bad name. I purposely moved some of my food to the side to make sure I did not get the same dish, the waitress comes back out with the same dish With the same food moved in the same spot with the cockroach removed! ASK FOR A PAPER RECEIPT!! Dined here with a party of 4 over Thanksgiving weekend. With regard to the food and service, nothing stood out that would make me drop a good or bad review here on Yelp. It wasn't stellar, but it wasn't awful either. Why am I here dropping a negative review? Because they bring the bill over with a handheld device and verbally gloss over the items ordered with you before you insert your credit card. What they DON'T tell you as they verbally itemize the charges is that at the end of the tally an automatic 15 PERCENT tip is added, no matter what your party size is. Very deceptive; when they scroll down to the end of the bill they are clearly hoping you don't notice the 15% Auto tip and they don't go out of their way to tell you. We did not realize this until seeing it noted in a Google review and we're incredibly ticked off after leaving Essentially what we thought was a 22% tip turned out to be 37%! Incredibly DECEPTIVE BS. We will not be back. I guess this establishment has weighed the pros and cons as to how many customers realize they were bamboozled and subsequently vow to never come back versus the extra revenue/gratuities they extort from unwitting customers and have clearly opted that ripping off customers is the approach that works best for them. read more
