I really enjoy going to Mind, Body, Harmony for a massage. Yvonne definitely gives one of the best massages I have had. I'm not sure what it is that makes one massuese better than the other, but there is definitely a difference. The pressure and technique that Yvonne has is great, I also enjoy the qarm towel she places over my feet. Nice touch, especially in the winter. The studio is located in an office building, but that's fine with me since the room is nice and quiet. I've gone to a few places for facials and massages that were located either in a salon or next to places that were loud, and it does take away from the experience and relaxation, but I haven't had that issue here. I recently tried this place with a Groupon, and have mostly positive feelings about my experience. Her studio is located in what seems to be an office building? There are cubicles on the first floor, her studio is on the second. She came down to let me in, and then took me upstairs - her room is very relaxing and you immediately forget that you're in an office :) The massage itself was good, although more relaxing that muscle-working. I will say though, I recieved the best foot massage of my life. She was very... businesslike. Friendly, but curt. I think I was her last client of the day, so that may have something to do with it. I just got the vibe that she wanted to be done, which is understandable, but detracts from the massage experience. I have been getting a massages regularly for many years. I have been to several massage therapists for many different reasons and experienced many different types of massage. Yvonne is AMAZING!! I am picky about my massage and Yvonne is so in tune, has great pressure and really listens to your needs. I am an Esthetician and there are days when work wreaks havoc on my back. Last Saturday I was in so much pain I could barely walk. The massage therapist at my shop was off and I called all over looking for anyone who could get me in. I went to Yvonne and was beyond pleased with the results. She listened to my problem and got to work. We chatted a bit at first but the next thing I knew I was knocked out! I am not one of those people who goes to sleep on the massage table. I usually relax a bit but no one has ever been able to get me to relax enough to go to sleep. My back still was achy when I left but it felt a million times better.....the next day I was back to normal. She was able to calm down my muscle spasms :) I will be going to see Yvonne on a regular now. My boyfriend also receives massage on a regular basis and I plan on sending him to her as well. While it is located in asmall office building, you would never know it once you are within the warm and comforting space of her office. Beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. She asked me what I wanted to focus on, and the type of pressure I would like - and then did a great job of delivering a wonderful massage that was spot on with my request. I purchased two massages on Groupon, and before purchasing them, I called Yvonne to ask if my boyfriend and I would be able to do a couple's massage if I purchased two massages. After purchasing, I had a very hard time booking, as Yvonne had to try to call another person in for a couples massage. Needless to say, my boyfriend and I both got our massages - but we had them for an hour each - seperately - and had to wait for each other. Regarding the massages themselves, both were fantastic! Before the massage she asked how much pressure we prefered and what we wanted to focus on. I have been to several massage spas in the Sacramento area and none were as good as this! As someone certified in massage therapy, I know a little something about massage and techniques. I was very impressed by Yvonne. She asked what kind of pressure I liked and I told her just a nice relaxing Swedish style. She nailed it. In past experiences, I've found other therapists usually want to apply more pressure thinking that's what people want, which is definitely not the case for me. Yvonne was absolutely wonderful. Yvonne is great. I found her business and met her through purchasing a Group On deal. After reading a few reviews, I immediately scheduled two appointments. These were prenatal, and most amazing. She is very warm, welcoming, and makes you feel secure and comfortable. The room is peaceful, tasteful, and made me feel like I was totally in another place- not the office building I walked into. I love that she knows when to talk, and what questions to ask. The two hours spent were both magnificent. A chilled pitcher of water sat on the side table in a dim room, a warmed table was waiting for me to lie down on, and soothing music filled my ears... I even loved the lightly scented oil she uses~ I'm becoming a regular;) I highly and forever recommend. read more

I recently purchased a 60 min massage groupon for a massage at this location. Yvonne was very nice. Upon arrival she asked a couple questions and then she let me change and we started the massage session. My Massage was great! I was soooo in need for one! She focused on the areas I told her to. Only down fall was I felt like I didn't get my full 60 mins. I arrived at 1230pm.. By the time we started it was probably 1235-1237....But she ended the massage at 125pm... I've gotten many massages and they usually go till the last minute. And there is digital clock in the room. So that was my only disappointment. Other than that she's great. read more

I was very disappointed in the customer service. I left Yvonne 2 voice-mails and did not hear back- I called her 1 more time and was finally able to get in touch with her. She told me to go on-line to book my appointment which only offered 1 day of availability from here through September (3mo away) on a Tuesday, right smack in the middle of the day...when I mentioned it and explained that I was looking for a weekend date because I work she had nothing to say. Even if she is booked through September, it would have been nice to have her offer a weekend or evening date past that. read more

Yvonne is awesome! I found her a little over a year ago through Groupon, and have been seeing her for regular pampering ever since. This is not for the snooty, fancy spa-goers who expect a receptionist offering you cucumber or lemon-infused Evian water. This place is for people who want an awesome massage. While her location is unconventional (she operates out of a room within an open, cubicle office environment), I don't have any problems shutting the world out once the door closes behind us. The soft music, the candles, and the water feature does wonders to transform her small space into a relaxing, calming spa. I treated my mom to Yvonne for her first ever massage and she loved it also! Being a runner, Yvonne's strong hands does wonders for my tight gams. I happen to like a lot of pressure when it comes to massages, but I imagine she's just as great for those who prefer a lighter touch. Another great thing? I have been having regular massages here for the past year. Yvonne has a consistently great technique: firm pressure and always asks if there are areas that need focus. She is always professional and very pleasant. The newish location is very convenient to downtown, located on a charming corner. The space is nicely decorated and calming.
