My kids and I have been to multiple Escape Rooms and this one was by far the BEST!!! Staff was amazing too!!

If you like escape rooms you will LOVE Mind Trap! My friends and I have been here multiple times and every time they go above and beyond to make this an awesome experience. We have even been to a different escape room company in Chicago and the employees there talked about how much they loved mind trap rooms with us. You will probably want to schedule more than one room bc after you do the first on you won't want to stop! The props are so realistic, the puzzles are so smart and fun, and the staff show that they really want to give you a good time! Kidnapped and Pharaoh's Chamber We went in to do Kidnapped and failed. The room was awesome! The fact that you have to first get one of your own out of the cell was pretty cool! We were so hyped from the first one we wanted to do another bc we couldnt leave being "losers" lol Second we did Pharahoh's Chamber an Egyptian Themed Escape Room. There is definitely more than meets the eye in that room! We escaped with 1:24 left. Pretty close and stressful ;) The rooms are really set up well and the guy that helped us was really (nice and funny). Definitely would recommend this place. read more

By far the most detailed escape room we've ever done, and we've done quite a few! Escape rooms are awesome for birthdays, double dates, family time and much more. We had so much fun with our family. We did the Dr. Death escape room and we cannot wait to come back to do more! The only complaint is that the room was super dark and they only give you one glow stick, there should've either been a couple glow sticks or small flashlights. read more

The first time I had gone, I had used s Groupon and was fortunate to have a nice young lady service us that day. Today, I was NOT so fortunate, instead I have to say I have not encountered such bad customer service as I had with the "owner" Ryan. I had problems with the website and for whatever reason I was experiencing issues typing in my name and basic information to book the reservation using my Groupon voucher. After being frustrated, trying to make a simple reservation (apparently reservations can only be done over the internet and not over the phone), I then made the call. I was frustrated, but I didn't scream or wasn't saying anything derogatory. However, this man decided to tell me that he is going to "walk me through". Like I am a complete and utter moron and don't know how to type in my own name. He then kept insisting that this call is recorded and he never called me an idiot. Which again, he didn't need to in the moment that he was talking down to me. I know that this is a first world problems and clearly not something that is even worth a review. However, a person that can treat a customer this poorly is in my opinion worth teaching a lesson to. If you are indeed the owner, I hope you service issues and complaints with a little more attention and less arrogance, that you may learn a bit of humility and approach issues with deference and consideration. And maybe offer phone in reservation for people that may indeed be internet impaired. I hope that I get Groupon to give me a refund and as to Ryan. .. don't worry, i would rather lose my money than ever come to your location after how poorly you handled that situation today. As to anyone else, I hope you do NOT encounter these problems because your money is only good as long as the owner has NO responsibilities, especially anything that may cause a touch of effort on his part. And now he responded to my review by continuing with more aggression. I was frustrated and his first response wasn't to help me, but to tell me that there isn't any other way to make a reservation but online. And that he would walk me through, walk me through what? I couldn't click on the boxes to type in my name. How can you walk that through? Now he is saying he was looking to help me, why not offer the help from the beginning and stop talking down to the person. By all means, put the entire conversation on here. Make sure you put all of it. Your disdain to my frustration shows in your lack of courtesy even now. I don't have anything to lose in this, however, you already lost one customer and maybe others will follow. I won't be threatened by you, put up the conversation. I didn't say you called me stupid, I said stop talking down to me like I am stupid. And even if I was internet illiterate and not able to complete a reservation online, have some consideration for people that may not be internet savvy. It will only cost you five minutes of your time. read more

We did the Pharaoh's Chamber. We escaped. The room design and setup was excellent. The level of difficulty on the puzzles was moderate. If you are new to Escape Games, this is a perfect first game. We will be back to do another room for sure! read more

I have done several escape rooms and i would rank this middle of the road. Rooms open up to other rooms, nothing fancy but a walky talky. I have done where you get an ipad to ask for a clue and see a timer. I took my office out for a work event and it was during halloween time. I think some of the issues we had where the fact the room might have been moved as we did the haunted house later and went through the room. At one point we had to solve some numbers on a keypad but the room was pitch black and no flash light. That really isnt a mind puzzle, and it shouldnt be reliant on if i ate carrots that day. Anyways I assume the lighting isnt always that way as they brought in a flashlight at one point and later when we where ordering tickets for the haunted house I made a comment to the owner and he said it was supposed to be a very bright room. Also another issue i have is the last puzzle had a few ways to solve but only one solution opened the door. When i called on the walkie they said another riddle that wasn't listed..... Add it to the game so I don't waste my time. My last gripe is I asked for the group picture at the end and they said it would be sent to the emails on file and nobody got one. Mind you I paid full price not a discounted Groupon price and I got less than full service... ie missing lights, no picture. read more

What a great experience for our family! We took our 6 kids today, ages ranging from 3-13, and everyone from our 3 year old to us parents had a great time! Everyone was friendly and helpful! We will definitely go back! read more

My family and I do a lot of escape rooms and this was one for the books. We did the Pharaohs Chamber and it was amazing. The difficulty level was perfect for kids and also the right amount of difficulty for the adults. The building was clean and it was nice that they had games to play while you waited for your escape time. The employees were great and very accommodating. The clues that were given to us by the employees were very helpful and it seemed as if the employees actually wanted to be there. 10/10 recommend kind trap escape rooms. Our second visit to this escape room and this was even better than the last! Nicely complex room with group and solo puzzles, multiple rooms and automata. Everything was nicely themed as well. Sitting at lunch afterwards we're talking about going back to do another new room there! read more

I came here for a bachelor party, and my group wouldn't stop talking about how much fun they had. Ryan worked with our party to make sure we had a great time, and was very accommodating. We did the Doctor Death escape room, and it was the perfect amount of scare and complexity. I have done several escape rooms, and this one by far was the best one I've done. The attention to detail of the "set" was perfect, and the puzzles were complex, but not ridiculous. We also did laser tag here, which was a blast as well. You cannot go wrong here, truly a gem in the area. read more

We had such an amazing time! We went as a big group of 25 and split up into 3 groups. My group did the Collector room and it was epic! There's so much depth and creativity in the details. We had Nolan as our guide and he was great! He took his time explaining everything and was super helpful throughout the process. Can't wait to come back and try doctor death! read more

Good premise and clues, nice room, great staff. But... We had 10 people and the room they gave us should only have, at the most, 6 people. The music was so loud we had trouble hearing each other and it was way too dark in the room. They did give us a couple flashlights (for 10 people?) but the batteries were so low that they barely worked. Fix these things and it's a 4-5 star place. read more

Dr Deaths room was amazing!!! Loved the details and clues in the room. Lots of jump scary and crazy stuff happening once in room, like the mannequins that moved to a different location once reentering a room. Owner was friendly and helpful. The building is clean and well kept. We had so much fun and even made it out with 3 mins to spare lol. It was better then we ever expected it to be. We had so much fun we absolutely be returning to do another room! So worth checking out. read more

We had a session booked that we were not able to do because of the stay in place order due to COVID. We were told we would get an email with a credit for that session. We had not received it after several months. We called to inquire about this and the store manager said this was not something she could authorize but would make a note of it in the system and that the owner would call us who would be able to put a credit in the mail to us. Of course, we have not received that phone call and are still without our credit as well as a another family member who paid separately and was going to go with us. I would not recommend this business and I certainly will never be booking anything again there. We are out over $100 and are completely disappointed by the lack of communication and and organization. read more

My husband and I came here for a date night as we wanted to try something new! Mind trap did not disappoint! I loved that it's set in a haunted house during off season because they get to use all the props. The guy who helped us was so nice and greeted everyone upon arrival. I liked that we were with a group. There was no way we could have done it just the two of us! Would love to try the other rooms eventually so we will be back! read more

I did some research first before I chose Mind Trap Escape Rooms and I'm so glad I did! My family of five chose this escape room outing for my birthday. What a great experience for our first time!!!! Staff members were professional and very friendly. Attention to detail with atmosphere in the room and clues were spot on. Came here for a family function. I have done multiple escape rooms in other cities around the US. My group completed Storm Surge and I found this one to be quite enjoyable and challenging! My only complaints were it being dark in the room (hard to see things sometimes) and at one point we got stuck as the equipment wasn't working properly. It was a great experience and we escaped with a few minutes to spare! I'd love to try one of the scarier rooms next time we are in town. read more

Hands down one of the bests Escape Rooms ive been to! Just at first glance outside of it, it wasnt in a office room. It was a big structure inside of The Massacre Haunted House. It have suspense to the whole theme. Even when first walking in it looked great! The countdown clock wasnt a regular 60 minute clock. There was a suspenseful music to go along! That really made the escape room stand out. Usually your just in a silent room for 60 minutes. But not this one. Now to the puzzles. They were amazing! There was nothing in the room that didnt have something to do with a puzzle. It all ties very well together! I really liked it! I cant wait for the Medical themed escape room to open up! read more

Had a group of 16 visit and we split into two rooms; we did Locked-up and Collector and although neither group escaped, we had an outstanding time. The themes are fantastic and the decor and artifacts are so well done. Everything in Locked-up are from real prisons. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating as little clues are needed along the way to get through these challenges. Some in our group are more experienced than others and they said it was the best they have every been to. As soon as the new shipwrecked themed one is completed in the Spring we will be back. read more

A group of us went yesterday. The young lady at the desk was completely rude and ignorant upon us trying to get inside the place. They keep doors locked and no sign telling you how to get in, I guess I am just magically supposed to know. Getting in the escape room and beginning was a lot of fun, BUT, part of solving the problem was locked in a safe, we worked on that safe for the majority of our time only to find out at the end by the Gamemaster that the safe was broken. We were in fact putting in the right combination from the beginning. Waste of time and money. Didn't even offer an apology for the broken safe!! read more

I visited this escape room with a few friends. I was assured over the phone that there was only a mild "scare factor" involved. Once we got there one of my friends decided that the dark lighting, the really gruesome props, and the loud live zombie were a little too much for her so she opted out of the experience and decided to wait outside. Once outside, she was harassed by the manager who kept dangling gruesome props at her and the live zombie literally chased her around until she got so upset she ran out of the building. We felt this was SUPER unprofessional and unethical. She clearly stated that she didn't want to take part in the experience and was waiting outside for us and didn't expect to get harassed by the workers. You guys should be a little more tactful and considerate about people's wishes. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Such a well thought out escape room. We've been here before for their haunted house, laser tag, and zombie events, so when we were handed a card with a riddle for an escape room, we were intrigued. It seemed like a fun time, so we gathered up a group of friends and went in on a Sunday night. The staff there greeted us promptly, and informed us they were resetting the room from the first game, so they offered us to play a free game of laser tag while we waited. We agreed and after a quick game, they were ready! We were lead back and given the rules and shown how to open a lock we had never used before. And then the time started. It had some really eerie suspenseful music that really added to the atmosphere! My biggest tip is don't dwell on something for too long, that was my biggest mistake. Sadly, we didn't get out, only about 3 more minutes they said and we would've been home free! I can't wait for the next one to come out, I'll be sure to post another review! read more
