Willow Floral Boutique - how the cake was supposed to look (delicate and NOT green - even tho this cake IS tinted green)

Worth EVERY penny. I first saw their arrangements at--of all places--a funeral, and the creation I saw was unbelievably gorgeous. There were numerous other lovely arrangements there from other area florists, but they were your typical thing. Willow's arrangement stood out like a lovely thumb. I used Willow for the first time yesterday, and I'm so glad I did! My friend was really down-in-the-dumps, and I decided she needed a pick-me-up. This would be a good excuse to try Willow. I spoke with Tricia and told her the situation. With a creative florist like this one, I like to give them creative free rein, so I told her I wanted something cheerful and colorful, using whatever is really fresh today. She started listing the lovely selections of hydrangeas and roses and such, which all sounded great. I was pleasantly surprised when Tricia said she could deliver my arrangement this afternoon, especially considering it was about 10:30 AM, and the delivery address was way up in northeast Charlotte--a little on the border of their delivery range. Well, long story short . . . My friend received her arrangement at about 4pm that same day, and was just head-over-heels in love with them. She said all of her co-workers were insanely jealous, which is always a nice bonus. I spent $75. Was that more than I might have spent at a "typical" florist? Maybe. But I've spent 5 times that much on a single arrangement, and this $75 one was the most beautiful I've ever had the joy of giving. My one regret? That she wasn't around for my wedding 19 years ago.

Beware of lack of communication and this business not following the signed contract. The contract…read moresays flower substitutions are allowed, but inside the discussed color scheme (defined in our contract as burgundy and white). However, when I arrived to our wedding reception for nearly 200 people, yellow roses were everywhere and the planned burgundy dahlias were nowhere to be seen. My corsage barely had any burgundy in it. We had to have our cake tinted a soft color in order for the delicate handiwork to be seen, so we chose a mint green - the cake would have not looked green if it had white and burgundy flowers on it as planned. However, with bright yellow flowers on it, the cake LOOKED very green, and the yellow/green combo looked like vomit/sickly. There were some burgundy flowers on the cake - but they were very sharp and pointy flowers (not at all like the soft burgundy dahlias we had discussed) which contrasted sharply and awkwardly with the delicate pattern of the cake. Attached is a picture of what the cake was supposed to look like (modeled after) - it looks delicate and NOT green. Also attached with this review is the actual cake - with the yellow roses making it look very green and the "murder me" (as I call them) burgundy flowers - too sharp to go with the delicate pattern on the cake. I was so uncomfortable and upset (and shocked) when I arrived to our party, which can never be refunded or made up for. I texted Aubrey and asked what happened (during our dinner at the party) she did apologize and said the dahlias died recently in a frost. I have no idea why she didn't take the simple and professional step to contact me beforehand and discuss options. I would have never chosen yellow roses - especially around the cake. White ANYTHING would have been better. To boot, when I pressed her for a partial refund, she hesitantly offered to mail me a check for $50. That is precisely 2.5% of the entire bill, which was $2,000. I would have expected at least 25-30% refund. I refused the check, not even worth it. How disappointing and sad to arrive at such a huge party and feel so confused and disgusted because you don't recognize that it's anything you planned - and paid thousands of dollars for. And to know that all your family and friends have to see what you didn't want to show them.

They also go by the name Sunny Flower Delivery. The Blossom Shop has NO RELATION to Blossom Flower Delivery. Please be aware of the similar names when placing an order. John from The Blossom Shop was kind enough to reach out to me this morning and alert me of my mistake. He was very understanding and I would definitely use from The Blossom shop for future orders. _________________________________________________________ Original Review: The shop (BLOSSOM FLOWER DELIVERY) has the worst customer service ever. It feels like a scam and probably not a real place. Ordered birthday flowers on Sunday, 5/23/26. Received tracking information stating flowers were delivered but they were not. The customer service person "Mitch" but me on a long hold so she could speak to her manager. When she returned, she said all she could do is give me a $5.00 off credit. I asked to speak to the manager. She claimed to be the manager, so who was she speaking to? I will be disputing the funds with my credit card company. Do not purchase from this place. It's a scam.

Pink Petunia was recommended by a friend -- and of course you should always consider recommendations from friends whose taste you love. The moment I met Penny, I knew that we would be able to work together. She is simply lovely and so approachable. Though she gets the budget question out there towards the beginning of the meeting, as a bride I more than respected that she was simply looking to manage my expectations. And manage did she ever. Our meeting was at the Pink Petunia Studio in Dallas, NC -- just 30 minutes south of Charlotte --and there Penny and Greg have a cooler, store much of their glass product, and grow their own flowering trees. It is as though you are witnessing the creative process first-hand. It is hard not too look around and be inspired yourself. Leading up to our wedding, Penny was amazing at communicating and making sure that we were always on the same page. When she delivered the flowers, and I first saw my bouquet, I started to tear up. I was so excited, and as the photographer was in the room with us, I insisted we get a photo straight away! I am certain that, though the wedding is over, my relationship with Penny will continue on. I would recommend her to any bride looking to find a floral creator who will "make your dreams come true".

Penny was very patient during our meetings and listened to my every idea and thought. She went above and beyond and worked with me to stay within my budget and never expressed any kind of frustration or annoyance when I'd change my mind for the 100th time. She was so kind throughout the whole planning process and truely fulfilled my dreams! Penny and Greg were on site at the end of the evening to remove their vases and candleabras, etc. This was a huge load off of my parents, and I am so grateful. Flowers are expensive, in general, but I can honestly say that Pink Petunia will treat you right and make your dreams a reality! Penny's work is gorgeous and totally worth the money! When my guests see me or my pictures, they're still commenting on the beautiful flowers from my wedding and reception. Penny is the BEST! A++
