There is a nice mix of long and short holes. A decent amount of water as well as beach to keep you on your toes, as well as some wooded areas close enough to lose a couple balls if you are not careful and better skilled than I. I believe beginners as well as seasoned players can enjoy the challenges that this course brings. This 9-hole course would never be a PGA stop...of course, but it is a beautiful place to play this crazy and often frustrating game, or at least enjoy a day out in the fresh air!

The course is straightforward but you'll have to be aware of balls coming from other holes. Needless to say staying out of the trees makes things easier, but a sufficiently bad shot is not always the end of the world because you'll likely have space to get back to the proper hole. Condition was slightly below average, more from rain and other golfers than poor maintenance in my view. Finding an area to tee it up without the ground being torn up was difficult on many holes and I had to repair multiple ball marks on every green before even attempting to putt. Luckily there are ball washers and towels every hole. Unfortunately restrooms weren't often available so you're forced to find a secluded stand of trees or hold it until you get back to the clubhouse. Staff were very friendly but other players weren't. It wasn't the best weather to stick around for food or a beer but it doesn't seem like the best environment. The pieces are there to serve food and sit in or outside but there's no real ambience. $65 for a 1:50 Sunday tee time is reasonable. Better weather might influence the rating up, but a cold and windy June day wasn't my idea of awesome and the wind had a big impact on the ball on every hole.

You can get a better deal by prepaying online, which usually isn't the case. Not much going on at the clubhouse but it has some essentials and is clean. I was a little put off by the guy trying to hustle me out as he did some end of day cleaning even with others still on course. Ball washers every other hole, 2x water coolers, and 1 porta-potty are all positives. Pace could be problematic in high summer with kids messing around, as I caught up to a group despite starting much later and the course being very empty and had to wait on the tee for 10+ min. There seems to be enough extra space that it could be turned into a full 9 holes instead of being so short. I'm sure that takes a lot but should be a consideration by management.

The staff were super friendly, and they made sure you knew deals the were having and really emphasized to just have fun with the course. The course is a par 3 course so it shouldn't be treated like a ultra competitive professional course. You should have fun with it, and my group definitely did. The course offered enough obstacles to make you think how you need to pay, and the greens were a fun challenge. On the downside, there were definitely some bad divits on the Fairway and some bad patches on the green that weren't that big a deal, but when putting and there is bald patch on your line, it makes it that much harder to hit your putt. Finally the markers for teeing off were definitely moved around and the range to green was definitely not right fortunately we had a range finder. Overall though great experience, and I will definitely be returning to practice my mid range game.

Our guests had nothing but positive feedback as well - the event space was beautiful, the food was incredible, and the waitstaff was top notch. It's like hitting out of cement and it wouldn't cost a lot to fill them in with good sand, at least the ones that are near the greens. It's impossible to get your wedge under the sand.

It's fairly intuitive as far as tee height, changing your putt lineup, etc. I'm a beginner and have felt comfortable golfing horribly here. The putting green is a nice way to end the day on the way out or if you're not able to be seated immediately- take the chance to practice! Their staff is often busy but I would say reasonably so considering they're serving and helping with the simulators. Super kind and have seem them go the extra mile a few times now. But today I took my buddy (who is just learning golf) to this course, and he doesn't have any clubs yet so I let him use mine. Right when we were about to tee off, an old guy smoking a cigarette drove from the clubhouse to me and my friend on the first tee and scolded us about him not having a bag, saying "we clearly told you guys each golfer has to have his own bag, I'm going to let it go this time" in a very rude tone. Then he told us to keep the pace of play. I've been golfing for years, even with friends who don't have their own clubs, and me and my friends have never been scolded before for one of us not having a bag. Me and my friend were teeing off and he proceeded to hover around us on the tee, and we felt like we were being watched. Me and my friend got to the green on the first hole, and my friend accidentally pushed my push cart onto the green. Simple mistake from a first time golfer but not something anyone typically bats an eye to. But of course the same old man drove to us all the way from the clubhouse AGAIN, and when I noticed this I proceeded to move the cart off the green. Then the old man scolds us for the cart being on the green and lectures us about it not being "golf etiquette", and then he lectured us again how we need to keep up the pace of play even though we weren't going slow. I told him that my friend was a first time golfer and that he's still learning the game. Then he yells at me "TEACH HIM". Then these young 12 year old kids, probably from Hinsdale, were on our asses the whole round, making me and my friend feeling like we're in a rush. Later in the round we noticed they were actually hitting the ball when we were still on the green, even though this was clearly a par 3 course. That old guy didn't bat an eye. This is usually a great course to go to and I will be coming back, and it's usually good for beginners. BUT this is the worst course you can take a beginner golfer to IF that old guy is working that day. This was the worst customer service I've ever had at a golf course.

To start of day me and my friend went to play golf and we went into the pro shop where this young…read moreworker was being very rude and ignorant. Next after they didn't accept my amex card I didn't have any cash because most of every golf course in Illinois accept all forms of payment. Also I prepaid on the website and had a notifation on my card that i paid and yet I still had to pay at the course again. Then my friends mom came in the shop to help us pay for the round, remember this I gave the young guy at the register $5 to help pay for the round and she was going to pay $20 and me $5 the guy said I never gave him 5 dollars and continued to argue about the situation until I gave him ANOTHER $5. Workers are ignorant young brats and I'm the young worker pocketed my $5. Never coming back
