Would be a Terrible selection for a wedding, reception, corporate get away, or any group, family outing. This place needs new management, it's getting out of control. The health department shut down 75% of the pools for most of August. The outside heated pool is once again closed, last year they painted it wrong and people swam in water that was full of paint because they used the wrong paint, now it's closed because the health department wants new filtration, who knows why it failed. The yoga room is closed for mold, so yoga is now in a racket ball court, good luck hearing anything. The only open hot tub has been about 92° the other is you guessed it closed. It's a sad joke what is going on here. For the love of God please don't spend money on an event here, you will be either unemployed or cutoff from your family for it. read more

The owners of this place, who own tons of other properties in the state, are all about the money. They overcharge for everything, and everywhere you look, you can see things that need repairs. The food is sad, overpriced. I was a massage therapist for a while, so I understand technique and service. Tip: don't go anywhere that only performs 50 minute services. That means they are all about the money, to book back to back sessions and overwork the staff, and you don't get enough attention. Over $100 for 50 minutes is a riot. Good professionals charge an average of $1 a minute. This place is not as nice of a spa as they price. For ultimate luxury and service, go to Urban Muse in Denville! The best spa in NJ, hands down, I have gone there for multiple services for years. By the time you are tended to, your service is rushed at 45 minutes, and you can't get any proper full body massage from a professional at that rate. This place caters to city folk who want to feel like they are in the countryside, have excess money to spare, are rude in turn, so what do they care about customer service? Locals: don't go. I have stayed at Minerals in the past but it has been about 6 or 7 years since my last visit. Boy has it gone down hill. The rooms are old and worn. They definitely need some updating. Our room had a gas fireplace that had a broken screen and part of the facia was broken off. Carpet was worn. Water pressure in shower was terrible. We had to come here amid the COVID-19 pandemic for a family wedding. We called in advance to make sure they would still be open. They assured us they were doing extra cleaning and sanitizing to keep guests safe. When we checked into the room it was very dusty. Clearly no one had thoroughly cleaned, if they cleaned at all. My wife spent an hour using Lysol wipes and each one was dirty when she was done. We had stayed 2 nights and no one cleaned our room after the first night. We had room service dishes in the room and they just sat there. I even saw housekeeping in the hall at 5pm and asked if they would clean. After rolling her eyes the woman said she would. We came back after the wedding at midnight and the room was untouched. No clean towels. Beds not made and dirty dishes still in the room. So much for extra cleaning for guest safety. When I mentioned this on checkout the girl at the desk apologized and said she hopes they can do better on our next stay. I highly doubt there will be a next stay. read more

Horrible from beginning to end. Filthy- found underwear in dresser drawer- not mine! Staff was rude and inattentive. We tried to check out immediately after check in but there was no other hotel in the area with availability. Tried to contact the front desk but the phone in the room was sticky....Tried to contact the Spa to cancel a booked massage appointment and they hung up on me 3 times without saying a word-just picked up and hung up. I didn't eat there as the rooms seemed so questionable I couldn't imagine what the kitchen looked like. Bring your Clorox wipes! Signage to get into the resort is confusing as the property also has several condo / apartments. There are widely spaced out single elevators so if you hit prime time you can wait quite a while for an elevator. Comically...every time someone went in the bathroom the metal toilet paper holder would fall off the wall and clank to the floor....so we laughed about that. Beds squeak as that are spring mattresses. The place and the staff look old, tired and fed up. Reminds me of old has-been college dorms they converted into a "hotel of horrors". This is for Minerals Sports Club. I have been having a difficult time canceling our memberships? I've been trying since mid May. Per the contract if the club is closed for more than 30 days you have the option of canceling your membership. I understand that this is a hectic and confusing time for everyone but I feel that being patient for over 2 months is beyond reasonable. They just put through an auto charge on July 21st. We were attending at wedding at Grand Cascade's on 8/3/19. The wedding had blocks of room at both Grand Cascades and Minerals. When booking the room, we were assured that a complementary shuttle would be provided to take us from Minerals to the wedding. During check in they told us we would just need to give them a 30 minute notice and a shuttle would come to take us to the wedding. After getting to our room (we requested one king bed but got 2 queen beds) we went back to the concierge to result the shuttle. We were told by the concierge that the shuttle for the wedding had already left and they would not call us a new one and that we would have to drive to the wedding. After explaining the whole reason of staying at the hotel was to avoid having to drive, we were told to leave the car at the wedding, take a shuttle the next morning to pick it up and then drive back to check out. HORRIBLE customer service. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Minerals Hotel on 6/16/17 until 6/18/17. We checked out of a room on 6/17/18 and checked into another room, which was still awaiting housekeeping and was therefore not ready yet. In the meantime, we left a suit in a storage closet with the rest of our belongings and were provided with a ticket for our luggage. Later that day, the hotel brought our luggage to our room but did not include the suit. We contacted the hotel several times between 6-18-17 and 7-20-17 and even told the staff that the suit was last seen in the hotel storage closet. The hotel staff could not locate the suit. We were told to file a lost item report with chargerback.com. We did as instructed but still have not heard from the hotel. On 7-20-17, we called again and spoke to a general manager by the name of William, who said that the suit has been found in the closet. The hotel staff has not bothered to call to notify us that it's been in the closet all along. William also said that the hotel does not use chargerback.com website so we were misinformed by the hotel staff. William emailed us a website link as to how to recover the lost and found item. However, the website that William provided, holds us responsible for the shipping expense of the suit. We live out of state and do not plan to pay for the shipping expense of the suit which the hotel has neglected to return to us in the first place. We called the hotel front desk directly since 7-21-17 to speak to William or another manager to let them know where to ship the suit at the hotel's expense. The staff took down our messages but we still have not received a call back. On 7/29/17, we spoke to a hotel employee by the name of Brittany. She assured us that all the managers are aware of the situation and will return the call that day. We still did not receive a call. During our stay, we also had issues like hotel being unable to find our reservation and charging random purchases that we did not purchase to our room. read more

We got off to a rocky start here but by our second day here we settled in ok. Its not the Ritz Carlton but the kids and grandkids really enjoy the place. At least the weather is holding up. Walking through the pool area to get to our rooms is really annoying. The ventilation is poor. First my glasses fog up. Then the thick humid air, thick with the smell of chlorine fills the lungs. I'll start by saying that we got this as a Groupon. That being said we still paid around $200 per night for this place. The cons first: 1. The reception staff gives bare bones customer service. They weren't welcoming or friendly in any way. 2. The pools were disgusting. There was mold and calcification around the edges of the pools, there was garbage in and around the water, used band aids and gum stuck to some of the rocks around the hot tub areas. They are in desperate need of a good scrubbing . 3. Perhaps because we had used the Groupon we were banished to the far corners of the hotel. It's a long walk to get to the pool, gym and the car park. 4. Our room was really no frills. No fridge, no microwave, no outlets next to the night tables, the welcome binder in the room was water damaged and stained, the bathroom door didn't shut properly, there were stains on the bed skirt and the furniture had seen better days. 5. Despite how great the website convinces you it is, there aren't really any free amenities, except for the pools, the gym and yoga. (There were charging 30 dollars per person for a hike and canoe ride!?!?) 6. Not enough shady places (forget about quiet) to sit and read. 7. I tried to contact customer service via the online chat feature and was told they could not help me since I booked through Groupon. They referred me to the front desk, but after their lackluster welcome we decided against it. 8. Although there are signs posted that children under 16 are not allowed in the hot tub, sauna and steam room, the kids ran rampant. I only saw one lifeguard speak to one child. 9. There are no clear signs to the changing room (it's hidden behind a stone wall - I peeked and hoped for the best). Pros: 1. Our room was clean (except bed skirt). 2. Bed and pillows were comfy. 3. The drinks (though overpriced were good). Overall this is one of the most disappointing experiences I've had at a hotel. It didn't ruin our trip, we made the best of it and we're glass half full type of people. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not a fancy place but nice enough enough to spend a night or two. Came here for one night, a family of 5 with 3 kids. Nice swimming pools, with some nice activities for the kids to keep themselves busy. Super friendly staff that is really working hard all over. Rooms could be more comfortable but we did not come here to sleep. Breakfast served as a buffet, with the usual basics and once again nothing too fancy. We were really looking forward to trying out this place. We were even paying full-price, not by Groupon. I'll tell you, this was not the place to go! We were told we couldn't check in until 4pm, and then when 4pm came and went and we got irate, the manager was more than happy to cancel our reservation and get us to leave. AND, I asked for my cancellaton before I left and the rude manager actually gave me someone else's reservation and all of her contact information!!! The staff was very nice and the outdoor pool in the middle of January is amazing. The only thing that could have made the outdoor pool better was if there was a foot of snow on the ground and flurries. We stayed in the pool most of our visit, it was 34 degrees F and rainy. The place has seen better days. If you look anywhere from a distance it looks nice, if you look at the detail anywhere it is in need of repair (rooms,pools,halls,grounds...). I only stayed for two nights so the run down aspect of it didn't get to me. What really did bother us was we are paying for a getaway resort experience and the person next to you is there because they have a gym membership. It really does take away from the experience, you feel silly taking photos of your kids when most of the people around you are going through their daily routine. I love that this place is local. It's a unique setup where it's a gym but is part of a resort. There have been many updates to the locker rooms. My issue with this beautiful place is the maintenance is lacking. I don't understand why it's acceptable as a lifeguard or employee to walk past trash next to the pool and just leave it there for everyone to see. Or let there be so many flies and garbage looking things floating around in the outdoor pool. This normally only happens in high traffic seasons. But they should strive for excellence, the place is really nice. It's just a shame that they don't do better to keep it under control year around. I wish I read the reviews before I went here with my girlfriend for the weekend. The place itself is nice, but if it wasn't for us spending the majority of the time entertaining ourselves in the pool, jacuzzi, gym, or on basketball court, there is absolutely no way this weekend could have been salvaged. For 250 a night, the service is TERRIBLE everywhere you turn. No one gives a shit at this place and everyone feigns surprise when you have to inevitably complain about the horrible service. Some examples: -The dining room is WAY overstaffed at Kites, yet no one everyone comes to our table. They have about 10 people gossiping in the back corner and "cleaning" dishes. We overheard multiple waitresses at breakfast talking about how cheap everyone is, yet no one came to our table for the first 10-15 minutes of sitting down. Food was decent but could definitely use work (english muffins not toasted on eggs benedict, coffee served cold, potatoes on the verge of raw), but again, the service is what really kills the mood. No one bothers to fill our water, to check in on us to see if we want a drink (not once the entire meal), and for some reason multiple staffers (not our waiter/waitress) kept asking me if I was done with my meal when I clearly had half of it left during multiple meals. To top it off, twice the waitress took our bill and never returned to give us change until we had to track her down and demand it. -At dinner, we sat about 15 minutes before the couple at the table next to us, who apparently knew the waiter. The waiter completely ignored us the entire time, but made sure to stop by the table next to us maybe 9 or 10 times to give them complementary this and that. No refills on water, and he never asked if we wanted another drink. The couple next to us ordered almost the exact same thing as we did and got served their food first despite our order going into the kitchen about 15 minutes before theirs. My girlfriend ordered the pasta dish after the waiter talked her out of getting the chicken and it was so salty she sent it back. The bartender made the wrong drink for me and the waiter claimed they were out of bitters afterwards. I said it was no problem and ordered a bourbon on the rocks, which is 8 dollars on the menu. It showed up on the bill as 11 dollars, however, and when I asked him why it wasn't the price listed on the menu he said there was a 3 dollar upcharge for on the rocks. Seriously? -We ordered room service and sundae we ordered arrived completely in a giant puddle on a plate a half hour later. The girl once again acted surprised and took it back and said it would be taken off the bill. Great. -We ordered a movie on the TV and it skipped/froze every 30 seconds or so. We got about 20 minutes in and called the front desk and they said this was a known issue and canceled it for us. For 20 dollars plus tax you would think they would have this figured out. -A deep tissue massage is $125 for 50 minutes (plus tax and tip of course), so if you're planning on going to the spa you might want to reconsider. -When we were leaving Sunday morning, my girlfriend got a coffee to go from Kites against her better judgement. She gave the waitress a 5 dollar bill for the 3 dollar coffee and kept a watchful eye on the waitress just to see what would happen. The waitress walked around aimlessly for about 10 minutes and then disappeared in the back. We asked the hostess where our change was (planning on giving her a buck and keeping the other) and she made excuse after excuse about how the register is in the back so it takes a while to get the cash, how its complicated, blah blah blah. There was NO ONE there with about 15 servers walking around. We tracked down the waitress as she made her next lap around the restaurant to gossip with her friends and asked her where our change was. "Oh you wanted change?" I expected a nice weekend and all I got was frustration after frustration. They literally never get anything right the first time and you find yourself just waiting for them to screw up time and time again at every turn. I will never come back. read more

Just checked out of Minerals Resort & Spa and will never be checking back in. Save your sanity and avoid the trauma of spending a night at this place. For one it calls itself a resort & spa which sets the expectation of luxury... Was expecting it be clean, serene, and that I would get a bit of pampering in. Received the extreme opposite experience at Minerals. For one, the interiors of the hotel lobby, restaurant, gym and pool and rooms are all outdated and just scuzzy. Next, the acoustics are the worst of any hotel I have ever stayed at. There are signs at the end of each hallway asking guests to refrain from making loud noises or running, and I saw in the guide they give you when you check-in that you must refrain from making loud noise after 10pm. I knew immediately I would be in for a noisy night and a bad sleep. And I was right, a couple next door were going at it from 12am off an on until 7am. It was loud enough to hear what they were saying to each other - so disgusting and graphic! It even woke up my two young kids in my room. Couple in room 531 I know what you did last night. Ugh. When I complained at the front seat to the Office Manager on duty he acted as if I was making it up to ask for a better room... Forget this cesspool read more

I am a minerals sports club member. After swimming I went into the locker room to take a shower. I left my pants and shirt with my keys in a bag on the bench . When I came out the bag was gone ! The women in the lockeroom were very helpful looking for my bag. Stephanie Greene at the check in desk was very helpful gave me. Robe informed others . Dana a member gave me her sweatshirt Ruth also member gave me pants. Dana and her friend offered me a ride. just before we left the lady who accidently took by bag had called and was returning it . Dana her friend and Stephanie waited until my belongings were returned. I couldn't believe people I didn't know would be so helpful. I learned from other members that the supervisory staff were not so helpful stating that they were not responsible for missing items maybe not responsible but could have been more caring and helpful. Pool inside is cold and the one outside is warm but 5 feet deep. Also the moonshine bar did not have happy hour as advertised they kinda give u a run around for happy hour. Drinks are also watered down. Also be ware when the weather is bad such as rain or thunderstorms they close down the whole thing and your out of luck. We used Crystal Springs-Minerals for our wedding hotel block back in July as it was close to our venue and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. While the hotel itself is a little bit dated, the friendliness of the staff and the amenities can't be beat. Nicole Lynch and Erika Bath were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to ensure our guests had a great time. My wife used one of the conference rooms for bridal party hair/makeup and the Minerals staff did a great job converting it into a salon for her. Everyone who stayed at the hotel said they had a great time and really enjoyed all the amenities, especially the indoor basketball court and pools. Our stay at Crystal Springs was truly special and one we will never forget. read more

I guess if you are comparing this place to camping outdoors you could give it 4 stars and not one. Unfortunately, if you are expecting a spa, it's not quite what you will get. The photos on the website make it look beautiful with a lovely pool. In acutality a lot of the place is run down with dirty carpets (elevators and hallways) and not well taken care of (roof and cemented areas on the site). The gym was a huge room with plenty of machines but not very well cooled and no rules or regulations enforced. I walked in later in the afternoon and encountered a few people coming from the pool with bathing suits on, no rules on any required attire, however I thought it was that was understood in a gym type setting. The restaurant was way overpriced for their offerings of so -so food. Overall, the place was quite disappointing. The pool area which I believe is the highlight is packed with kids running around and jumping in the pool. I had a feeling that they opened the resort up to local residents who brought all their children, it did not seem like the resort was that occupied. Although signs were posted with no running and no smoking, I observed both taking place at the pool. I could go on and on with how it needed improvements, I think it will be a long time and many positive reviews for me to ever think about going there again. read more

So so. The recreational facilities and pools are great! It's hard to reach staff on the phone but they are wonderful in person. Access from the lobby to the rooms is through the pool area, which is like walking through a sauna, but there is another way around if you ask. The beds are like rocks and there are no foam toppers available. I have a bad back and could barely walk after just one night but found a workaround. Have them take a mattress from the sleep sofa and put it on the bed. Breakfast buffet sucked and was overpriced but the smoked salmon plate from room service was great. Like I said. So so, but I'd think about going back with the kids just for the pool areas and splash pad. Ask to be on Upper Garden with access from the room to the grassy area out back or to the pool area if you are traveling with kids. read more

I have never gone out of my way to write a bad review. I have also never experienced such awful customer service in my life. We purchased a membership for the minerals pool and gym for the year. One day over the summer we called to inquire about guest pass information for children and we're told we didn't need guest passes for children under 8. When we got to the pool the lady at the desk said that she didn't pick up the phone and tell us this information and that the two children we had accompanying us did need guest passes. I didn't bring passes with me because I was told over the phone we didn't need any. The person at the front desk was so unbelievably nasty and rude. We waited for over 40 minutes just to speak to a manager as I held a crying toddler because he wanted to go swimming and after waiting for that long I ended up just going home and getting the guest passes anyway so just so my kids could go skimming. We asked for a refund for the remainder of the year, not even a full refund as we had used the pool a few times and didn't want to take advantage and we're told we could not get a refund. I can't recommend this place based on staff and customer service we had an awful experience. read more

Are you staying here ?" * Continued- during check out I call downstairs for a trolley at 10:45am they said it would be up in 20 minutes. It was 11:15 and we didn't hear from anyone. My girlfriend calls which by the way is 7 months pregnant and they told her they didn't have any carts and hung up on her. I call back twice both times they hung up on me. They could have said hey well send someone to help. I finally get on the phone and told them my friend is pregnant and we really need help in addition to we don't want to be charged for a late check out. They said tey would send one asap. Crickets.. I get down will all our stuff and there was a trolley right by the door. *Express check out was a teenage employee writing down the room number in a spiral notebook. Minerals a couple of tips! Get new leadership to run the business and treat your employees better. Employee attitude is a reflection of the business/leaders, treat and take care of your employees, they will treat your customers better. I've now been to Minerals Resort & Spa 3 times in 3 years for a family reunion. I won't ever be going back. As a family resort, this place is ok at best. There are 3 pools ranging from very cold to warmer-than-a-bathtub. There's a great sprinkler area for kids. There's a field for other activities, though this past weekend it (literally) stank and was marred by a large, potholed sandy mess, making fly balls to center field unplayable. Our "neighbors" in the room next to us treated us to 90 minutes of vulgarity-laced tirades against their daughter who apparently refused to go to sleep. But the worst part of this hotel is the restaurant, Kites. It is quite possibly the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food is OK but not outstanding. The prices are high. And the service is consistently (for three years running) slower than watching paint dry. We--including my pregnant wife and two-year-old son--waited an hour for sandwiches at lunch time in a restaurant with guests at only 3 other tables. There was not a single update on the status of our food, even after we asked about it. We ended up getting up and walking out of the restaurant before our food showed up. When we told the hostess we were leaving, we weren't even graced with a simple apology--just "ok". The next morning at breakfast our waitress Ashley frowned and audibly sighed when I ordered from the menu instead of getting the breakfast buffet. She wandered away only to return a minute later to try to convince me to get the buffet instead, by telling me that it was the same price as the dish I ordered. In fact, my dish was $8 and the buffet was $15. (Her explanation? "I thought you were having coffee.") At the same time, she never brought coffee for my wife who did indeed get the buffet, and the egg station was not manned when my wife wanted to get an omelet. Just an awful, awful excuse for a restaurant. This resort gets 2 stars only because the management team did attempt to make things up to us by sending wine, cheese, cookies, and milk to our room after we relayed our experiences to them. That was a classy move and we appreciated it. Still, I cannot recommend a place that consistently has such awful service and mediocre facilities, even if the people running it know how to make amends after the fact. read more

2 stars because I did have a good time there at the hotel with my friends just this past Christmas. Staff in general were very nice and a few ladies who helped me with my group booking (I had 8 rooms reservation) were very sweet and patient. The only problem is the front desk seemed very confused. My friend who had a luxury room booked was put into a Deluxe room and when she requested for the room change she was told no more luxury room on 3rd floor, she had to stay on 4th floor when everybody else was on the 3rd floor. We realized it wasn't true as another friend who checked in 1 hour later was able to get a luxury on 3rd floor. Besides that, I am not happy that there was mysterious charge to my credit card. When I called them the first time the guy who helped me was kind enough to "look into" it for me. He couldn't find the charge with the dollar amount I told him. Pleas note this is the guy at front desk, I bet he had 20 people lining in front of him waiting to be checked in, I understand and agreed to call back. Called again, another guy from front desk who just woke up from the wrong side of the bed, spoke with me wth an attitude! He seemed to be frustrated with me when I told him he had an attitude. Didn't know what to do he transferred me to account payable and the poor girl who picked up the phone didn't know what to do with me and said that front desk guy shouldn't send me to account payable. Anyway, confusion confusion confusion. The hotel is good for the price you pay, just watch out for unknown charges to your credit card after the trip, and also good luck talking to the right people when you call to get your money back. read more

This place needs a major update. From the lobby to the rooms everything feels dated. All the activities cost extra money - which we were aware of ahead of time. The indoor pool area had an unbearable smell of chlorine that will take your breath away along with cloudy water - obviously an issue. The fish tank in the indoor area was dirty just like the indoor pool area. I told the kids you are not swimming in that pool. The smell even continued down the hotel halls close to the pool. The outdoor pool was better but still needs to be updated.. Missing stones around pool, muddy areas where pool run off happens. Plenty of lounge chairs around the pool but again they were dirty and dated. Limited amount of umbrellas - some were broken. Another issue is the towels.. How do you constantly run out of towels at the pool before 11am?? They also had towel issues at the mountaintop adventure none available. Onsite restaurant Kites is OK but expensive. Pool side food was OK. I thought about giving two stars based on that it is nicely landscaped but a resort should be landscaped. We will not be returning here and are afraid to even try their other resort (Grand Cascade) - I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

I was very upset about my stay at Minerals. I paid alot of money to stay here and I chose the spa package. The spa was very nice but the rooms, food, and hotel employees I wasn't pleased with. The pools did not feel clean and were empty outside. I feel like this should be geared towards adults not children as there were so many kids running around. Also, the food was not good as it was overpriced and tasted microwaved. The room itself was awful. The beds were as hard as a rock and outdated. We tried to do activities such as apple pressing and the essential oils but they were both cancelled and replaced with paid activities. This place is so expensive and you don't get your dollar worth. Reviewing this place all depends on what you are looking for. This doesn't have all the bells and whistles of most resorts. Wifi is extra. There are not many kid friendly activities and everything costs extra. Use of the pools however is free along with the exercise room. The room is very nice and service good. If you are looking for a place close to NYC and mountain activities, this is the place. Bus from willowbrook plaza is only $15 round trip to Manhattan. We made several trips. This seems more like a Ski resort area and we came in the summer. There is a waterpark up the road which we did not try. Wine tasting is on the list. Fishing costs extra. Plenty of golf if you golf. Don't even consider the horseback riding across the street - look farther. We did and had an awesome experience. The A&P in town is just a few minutes away and very friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay but didn't spend much time at the resort. They are in the process of merging so hopefully improvements are coming. Our room had an upstairs loft for the kids. Two single beds so I would suggest an air mattress if you have more than two kids. There is a pull out bed in the living area. One bathroom. Nice deck and porch. 3 TV's no wifi (for a fee only) and only 1 mirror in the bathroom. Overall not one of the top resorts we exchanged but we still had a great experience. read more

Just had our wedding here on 10/18 - the wedding itself was deserving of 5 stars. Staff was amazing, food was amazing (I had people tell me best filet they've ever had at a wedding), everything I booked through them went off without a hitch. Giving 3 stars because of our room/some of our guests rooms. Needs serious renovation/cleaning. My parents had to call maintenance so many times - dead batteries in remote, mold on ceiling in shower, sink didnt drain, the list goes on. In our bathroom the paint is chipping and the areas around the sink and shower are just dirty. Scuffs and scrapes all over the walls. The mattresses are unbelievably firm, I feel like I'm sleeping on the floor - I actually slept on the couch the last night (understand this is personal preference but it was so hard). Stains on carpet. My friends room's door was literally kicked in - they had to slam it shut or it wouldn't lock. For the prices they charge for the rooms, they need to be cleaner. read more

We go to Minerals every year and know what to expect. We simply go because we know the kids love it. We like the pool and it is close to Mountain Creek. Both the indoor pool and the outdoor pool are great. The indoor pool is heated to a comfortable level. The outdoor is great. It is heated to a really warm temperature, so you can be out there even during the winter without feeling cold. The restaurant is overpriced and not kid friendly. Not shocking, because most hotel restaurants are not kid friendly. Do yourself a favor pick-up a few menus in town. Order food on the phone and then drive the short distance to pick it up or ask for delivery if you can wait. We recommend Paesano Pizzeria or Pizza Station for dinner. Paesano is about 1 minute further away, but there usually is no delay. Pizza Station gets a lot of business from Mountain Creek visitors due to being slightly closer. There is a Dunkin Donuts for breakfast as well as a nearby bagel shop by the A&P Groceries Store. Only major complaint is the acoustics in the place. There is absolutely not insulation or sound absorbing material in the walls. You can hear all noise almost crystal clear from adjacent rooms and anybody walking or talking in the hallway. Do yourself a favor an ask for a room at the end of the hallway to limit the amount of foot traffic passing by. read more

Reserved one night stay for 182$ booked a separate spa couples massage for 220$ after departure i realized they charged me almost a 1000$ for spa and room!When i spoke to their manager Dave(asshole) was completely rude, didnt help resolve the issue or offer a free night stay atleast. I had to call Amex and let them handle it. Will never go there again. Horrible staff that charges you for services never agrred on, unproffecional managers. DO NOT have Pina Coladas or any other frozen drink at the tiki bar or kites restaurant because I guess Minerals can't afford to buy more blenders. They only have two blenders apparently, at the in pool bar inside, and that bar is only open on Saturday and Sunday. Guess they can't move them. We came to Minerals Hotel for the kids birthday package. I was very dissapointed. I went to the main desk asking where we should go. The young man at the desk didn't know anything and told us to ask at the bar outside. We went outside and they told us they usually do the parties upstairs by the umbrella tables...of course no one is up there. Went back inside to the desk and they called the party manager. Then they called the server who was assigned to us and said she would be down at the outside bar in 5 minutes. After 5 minutes I asked again and a young woman told me they have the parties inside past the pool. We met our server who was lovely but nothing was ready. She said the kitchen was backed up and there would be a delay. I walked by to check 10 minutes later and there where pitchers of drinks out and the hotel guests where lining up to help themselves. No server in sight. The pizza was disgusting. I would be embarrassed to serve that to anyone. First they were very small. Second, it tasted like the sauce came straight out of a can of tomato paste. The cheese was not spread evenly and it was ice cold. A Digiorno's frozen pizza would have been better. Thank goodness I asked for a tray of chicken tenders. Then we find out one out of 3 pools are closed for the winter. After being in the pool for 2 hours all the kids were complaining of eye pain due to the chlorine. They complained that the outside pool was too hot like a hot tub, so that only left them with the one inside pool. They couldn't find anything else to do on the grounds and asked if we could go home. Save your money and go somewhere else. I wish I read a review like this before I booked the party. Very unorganized. read more
