My friend said they'd been wanting to try here for a while, we went tgt today! We had the green grape milk tea with highland barely boba, earl grey milk tea with boba, and double matcha! I had been worried to try the green grape milk tea because I've only ever tried them separately and wasn't sure how a fruity creamy drink would taste, but it was soooooo good! My friends said they were glad they got the double matcha at 50% because it would've been too sweet if not The highland barley boba resembled more of a popping style boba, with a "wrapper" feeling. I personally prefer the texture of regular/honey boba, but the taste was rlly good The interior was gorgeous! And so cute to have Polaroid films of guests everywhere, though I wonder how you can achieve being pinned up there haha
Ming Cha is a really solid spot and easily one of the better tea places in the area. The first thing you notice is the aroma--the tea smells incredible even before you take a sip. The drinks themselves are very tea-forward, which we personally love. You can actually taste the quality and depth of the tea rather than just sweetness, and that really sets it apart. We got their jasmine milk tea, and it's a standout for us. It's one of our personal favorites, and they executed it really well--fragrant, smooth, and balanced without being overly sweet. The space is very aesthetic--clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It's a pleasant place to stop by, even if you're just grabbing something to go. Pricing is relatively reasonable for the quality you're getting. It's not the cheapest, but you can tell you're paying for better ingredients and execution. It is a self-service setup, so interaction with staff is minimal, but everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Overall, Ming Cha is a must-try if you're in the area. Great tea, great atmosphere, and a place we'll definitely be frequenting.
I was passing through the city of Walnut and wanted to grab a quick drink. I loved this little boba shop! They sell a bunch of cute items like stickers and other merch, and the drinks were delicious. What stood out to me was that they offer unique boba options like highland barley and water chestnut, which were very interesting to try. I got the Ube Osmanthus and loved the taste. It was refreshing and not overly sweet. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
Ming Cha in Walnut is definitely one of the most unique drink spots I've tried recently. The cheese foam is so smooth, creamy, and slightly salty, which pairs perfectly with the tea. Every sip has a rich flavor without being overly sweet. We all loved the matcha and black sesame drinks. The matcha tasted earthy and smooth, while the black sesame had a deep roasted nutty flavor. The ube foam was also super creamy with a light vanilla-like sweetness that made the drink extra special. I really loved the Cheesy Taro drink! The taro flavor was rich, smooth, and creamy with a natural sweetness, and the cheese foam on top made it even better. The slightly salty and creamy foam balanced perfectly with the sweet taro flavor. Such a unique combination and honestly so addictive! Definitely one of my favorite drinks at Ming Cha. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors My kids loved their drinks too, and we already want to come back to try more flavors! Ming Cha is such a cozy cute cafe with lots of cute decor. The cafe is small but has some seating area and some board games to play with as well. Parking is shared with other businesses but there were enough areas for parking. The staff were super friendly and on point. Had assisted with some recommendations since we were quite indecisive with our choices because there were too many good options. Got to try: - Roasted Black Sesame - Jasmine Matcha - Omanthus Oolong Milktea - Mango White Peach! The drinks were light, refreshing, and wasn't too sweet; it paired well with the cream tops. Would love to try some of their other items in the future!
My first visit was wonderful. I had to return for round two. Ming Cha is located within the Lemon Creek Village in Walnut. Free parking is available. I ordered via the self-ordering kiosk. It was very quick and easy. Ambiance was bright and clean. They have merch for purchase. No restrooms. This time around, I tried the Dubai Chocolate Latte which was amazing with the perfect amount of sweetness. I got it hot and it was the best! SO VERY GOOD!! Please let it cool down just a tad before drinking it. I got the Mango Yuzu Refresher for my eldest daughter. It was good, too, but not as great as the latte. Just a bit citrusy for our taste. I would get the latte again over the refresher for sure. Young man behind the counter was busy making the drinks. He was heads down most of the time. I didn't have any eye contact or interaction with him which was perfectly fine. I just grabbed our drinks when they were done. Thank you Ming Cha for coming up with some unique flavors and sharing with us! We'll be back!!
Decided to give this place another chance since they were having their BOGO. It's a very clean small place with no seating. There is plenty of parking since it's located in a plaza. As you enter the door, the tea smell is captivating. However, the drinks were okay; nothing spectacular which is how I felt the first time I came when it opened. I ordered the Earl Grey Milk Tea (less ice) and Yuzu Grapefruit (no ice) both half sugar. They were drinkable but tasted bland. The server was friendly but way understaffed especially during a BOGO event. I don't think 3rd time coming will be a charm.
Service was excellent. The staff was friendly, patient, and took the time to answer questions and give recommendations without rushing me. It was small but very cute on the inside, with pictures of happy customers hanging everywhere. I tried the mango milk, white peach mango tea, strawberry matcha, and roasted black sesame. All of them were really good. The mango milk was not overly sweet, the white peach mango tea was refreshing, and the strawberry matcha was well balanced. The roasted black sesame was my favorite, rich and different than any drink I've had before. Everything tasted fresh and well made. I'd definitely come back.
Discovered this place through a Yelp event. So glad I visited. Luckily it's in my neighborhood and has become my goto place for boba type drinks. Small but nice looking interior. They've decorated well with little knick knacks around the store. Servers here are very friendly and welcoming. Order through the kiosk and they'll start working on your drink immediately. So far all the drinks I've tried here are made well and delicious. They know how to use their foam gun! My favorite drink is the black sesame with barley boba. It's a different flavor that's hard to get anywhere else. You can really tastes the black sesame flavor in the foam - recommend mixing the drink before drinking. The barley boba is also different and not too sweet - which is to my liking. So glad this place is in my neighborhood. I end up going almost every week!
OVERALL : When I walked into this shop and smelled the tea right away, I KNEW it was gonna be good! The shop was small and minimal, yet there were lots of people hanging out / chatting and enjoying their drink, which was a good sign. They're known for their tea-forward drinks and extra fluffy cloud tops that I've yet to see at any other boba / tea shop in my area. Service was fast + friendly and the self-ordering kiosks with photos of the menu items made it easy to order. I genuinely enjoyed every drink I got and am excited to come back and try more. They had some unique drinks that I don't know where else I would go to find! Bonus points for being not too sweet. PARKING : Small parking lot shared with other businesses in the plaza, but still many spots left on a Saturday afternoon. I did not have any issues w/ parking! FOOD/DRINKS : Double Matcha - matcha latte on bottom with matcha foam on top. Not too earthy, no clumps or powdery taste. 75% sweet was perf for me! Roasted Black Sesame - milk tea on the bottom was light and fragrant, loved the black sesame cloud and top. not too strong once mixed into drink though. 75% sweet Mango White Peach - Mango cloud with white peach tea, 75% sweet. Decided to give this spot a visit and it did not disappoint! The ambiance is cozy even though the store is small but it does have some seats and even some games if you're here with friends. I got 4 drinks: double matcha, lychee osthmanthus with lychee jelly, white peach oolong with boba, and the roasted black sesame milk tea We got all drinks at recommended 75 sweetness and it was the perfect amount. the drinks were light, not too heavy if you're looking for a post dinner sweet treat. My favorite was the lychee osmanthus and ryan's favorite was the black sesame. Mingcha is celebrating their one year anniversary with an event! A fairly new tea spot has opened here in Walnut and I have to say this is some pretty tasty tea at Ming Cha. You will need to order the tea at a kiosk, where a visible menu is displayed on the wall, as well as on the kiosk itself. I have been here twice and both times the tea was nice and you can select your preference on the sweetness level. I don't really like sweet teas so I think this is pretty good. They have a small seating area that you can chill in if you like old like.

I'm a fan of tea, so I had to visit if it's delivering quality tea even in its name. The branding on this shop is on point. Translates in Chinese is "Wong Family's Quality Tea". They definitely delivered to their shop's name. I enjoyed trying the different cloud tops with the various teas. You can definitely taste the difference in quality ingredients down to the syrup. My mom got the roasted black sesame and that was very aromatic and nutty. The cheesy mango lassi had my dad's approval when I brought it home for him. He said the flavors all balanced each other out so well. Nothing to complain about. The cloud top on quality tea from Taiwan and ceremonial Matcha is enough to have you addicted for more. I've recently been a fan of the highland barley popping boba as a healthier option to boba. The delicate skin around the barley makes it an interesting contrast of texture. Each sip is so aromatic with the layers of creaminess, slightly sweet and fragrant tea in the Lychee Osmanthus and Ube Osmanthus. A few seats in the shop, so more of an order and go place. Friendly staff. Bright clean space. Plenty of parking in plaza. read more

Order: Osmanthus Oolong, Double Matcha, Dubai Chocolate, Mango Jasmine Lassi I've always heard good things about Ming Cha, but decided to finally make the visit--and it was worth it! Upon arriving, we noticed the clean, minimalist interior and some limited seating inside. When I saw the menu, I was immediately super excited to try out the different boba toppings! I don't think I've ever had water chestnut boba, red bean boba, or barley boba before!! I feel like in SGV's saturated boba scene, the toppings can easily become an afterthought but not here. The boba topping itself was amazing! I couldn't believe how real each tasted and how they could even concentrate that flavor and taste in something so small. When it comes to the teas itself, you can tell they're freshly brewed and really high quality. We really enjoyed everything we tried and the service was great. I would 1000% come back! read more

I've really, really wanted to love Ming Cha... The location is closer to home and parking is super easy. I fell in love with their logo when I first saw a post about this new tea shop on Instagram. My sister works at a school minutes away, so I decided to drive over mid-day/mid-week when I figured it would be the least crowded. When I got there I was the only customer there. Two young girls were working- one was friendly, one was not. The interior was SUPER cute- not a whole lot of room to sit- this is a take to go kind of place but it is very, very cute. I told the one girl cashier that it was my first time there and asked what was popular. I ended up ordering a mango matcha latte for my sister and the hoji-chata for myself. Prices were moderate and I was excited to try my Hoji-chata because I love hojicha and cinnamon drinks. But even though there was only one order ahead of mine for 2 drinks (that started being made before I even ordered), I ended up waiting almost 20 minutes for my two drinks. I was so confused and frustrated because the girl making the drinks was just really, REALLY slow. Part of the issue was her talking to the cashier. When it hit 20 minutes I asked if the drinks were going to be much longer because if they needed more time I was going to need to ask for a refund and leave. They said they were ready and packed them up to go. Again, cups and packaging are really nice. Unfortunately, there was no trace of hojicha flavor on my drink. It tasted like cinnamon and milk. Not horchata-y either. My sister loved the packaging but said that the drink was just okay. She ended up going again on her own later on in the week to pick up drinks for herself and some other teachers at her school. She had a similar experience- it took such a long time to make 4 drinks (when there were no other orders or customers) that she asked for a refund and told them she needed to leave. But the drinks were ready after about 25 minutes and the general consensus was the same- lackluster but the cups were beautiful. Ming Cha has a LOT of potential to be amazing- I have a feeling of their staff if trained a little bit better in both speed and how to make the drinks they're going to be great. I am going to give them another chance in a month or two and hope things get better! When they do, I'll be the first to update this review! read more

Cutest logo!As soon as I saw it I knew I had to go and the menu is unique unlike others with their different variety of bobas! Service was friendly and quick. I ordered the Mango Yuzu refresher and Double Matcha. With options for sugar and ice, the drinks were perfect. The Mango Yuzu refresher was just like it's name extremely refreshing. The boba was also tender and chewy without disintegrating in your mouth. I tried some of the double Matcha as soon as I got it and the cloud mixed with the tea was just the right amount of sweet without being too sweet. I ended up saving that to have the second morning and it was just as good. There were some seats and it's not too loud there so it'd also be a great place to catch up with friends. premium teas!!! such a solid tea shop i got the ube osmanthus, double matcha, mango white peach, and mango jasmine lassi. the mango jasmine lassi is my FAV and one of their best sellers for a reason. the foam on the drinks are also so pretty i really like the matcha one since you can def taste the matcha bitterness. i got most of the drinks at either 75% or 50%. it's also very thoughtful that they give an insulated bag for larger orders. they also have an option for paper or plastic cup which i thought was nice. the cafe is a decent size with about 4 tables and like bar style seating. staff is super sweet and knowledgeable about the teas! read more

I've tried 4-5 of their drinks already, and I must say that the Mango Jasmine Lassi is my fave! It's such a cute, clean, and spacious place. The service is quick and the staff are friendly. If you're not into Mango the next drink I liked was the White Peach Oolong. I'll be back soon! read more
Ming Tea offers a clean, spacious, and aesthetically pleasing environment along with delicious fragrant teas. I stopped by after a massage from Imperial Massage, and decided to try it out as a treat. I ordered the Four Seasons Milk tea, and it is light, fragrant, and tasty with the right sugar adjustments. Emily was really friendly as I chatted her up , asking her how the business is doing. 1/29/2025 Tried 2 pure tea here: - osmanthus oolong - white peach oolong Both teas are of high quality, very fragrant and tasted well-rounded without bitterness even though I ordered both without sugar. Too bad they have their drinks in paper cups instead of the regular plastic cups. I know paper cups are supposedly better for the environment, but I just feel sad coz I couldn't and won't be able to take pretty pics of my drinks T.T Newsflash: They will have grand opening this Saturday with the first 50 customers getting their (super cute) merchandise. Just visited this fairly new boba tea shop in Walnut (opened Feb 2025) and this is such a great spot worth checking out. There was a lovely aroma as soon as I walked in, which I was told was the white peach oolong tea. So naturally, I had to get their mango white peach, which is the tea topped with a creamy mango cloud. Here are the items I actually ordered. Mango White Peach - white peach oolong tea, mango cloud topping Ube Osmanthus - Osmanthus Milk Tea, Ube Cloud topping Mango Jasmine Lassi - mango purée, jasmine tea, milk Brown Sugar Boba Milk - brown sugar boba with milk I got a taste of each of these drinks and they were all so yummy. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Mango Jasmine Lassi as you could really taste the mango. There's a good variety of drinks to choose from. The girls were there were very helpful, from drink recommendations to what toppings and sugar level worked best. I can't wait to come back and try some of the other drinks I had my eye on. read more
I've been wanting to try this place called "Ming Cha" for a long time, and now I finally have time to go. The place is relatively small, with only a few tables, and it appears to be a to-go only tea shop. The fragrance of Jasmine Tea fills the air as soon as you walk in. I choose the Jasmine Green Tea with Light Green Tea and Floral Notes and Brown Sugar Boba Milk. They both taste good. One drink that caught my eye was the Dubai Chocolate Latte with Hojicha, house milk, and pistachios. Definitely going to try the drink next time. read more
Ming Cha is the newest boba shop in the Walnut area and they are bringing that premium Taiwanese boba shop experience with them. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a cozy and warm ambiance with about 3-4 tables for seating. As for their menu, they have a nice selection of different fruit tea, milk tea, and matcha drinks. Wifey and I opted to try the Mango Jasmine Lassi and the Mango Yuzu Refresher. Both drinks were so refreshing and the perfect palette cleanser for us after our dinner. Overall, we are glad we got the chance to check this spot out. We enjoyed the cozy vibes and the laid back ambiance of the shop. All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We will be back next time we are in the area to try some of their other drinks! read more

Very aromatic and smells amazing inside. Very cute inside and plenty of seating around the walls. Comfy and cozy. Very easy to order, they have 3 kiosks available. I think this might be one of my top 3 matcha/boba places. The menu is quite small so I expected the drinks to be the amazing and they were. Matcha latte - delicious, aromatic and very nice matcha flavor, can taste the high quality matcha Brown sugar milk tea - delicious standard bubble milk tea (Most of their bad reviews were because they had a bogo event and it was a long wait, but they do mention that the drink was good, so don't be deterred!! The drinks are GOOD!!!) Edit: they are kinda slow, went again 2 days later, 4 employees, 8 guest, 15 minutes for drinks 1/pp - drinks are still good though lol read more
I was looking forward to trying this new boba spot, but I was disappointed by the taste of my drinks. I went with the store's recommended sweetness for all the drinks I ordered. I tried their four season tea as it seems to be the store's speciality drinks. I ordered all of the drinks with less ice. All of the teas tasted really watered down despite reducing the ice in the drink. Osmanthus milk tea - 2/5, the tea flavor was not strong and I would have preferred 100% sweetness to 75%. Four season milk tea - 1/5, this may be my own mistake for trying a new tea but I really didn't like the aroma of the tea and the tea flavor was not strong at all. I also would have preferred 100% sweetness to 75% for this drink. Four season refresher - 3/5, the mango purée made this drink a huge step up from their four seasons milk tea drink. I found that I am just not a fan of the four season tea aroma. The recommended sweetness was good for this drink. read more
I LOVE their mango lassi so much it was better than any other ones I had at any other Indian restaurant. Ok I could be biased because I dislike the thickness at the restaurant. It was done PERFECTLY here including the ratio of tea to mango, and not just chemically mango puree. Other than mango lassi, I've tried their hojicha latte and it was pretty good. Strong tea flavor and no bitterness from overcooked tea at generic boba shop. Sick! Despite the little detour, I would come back for more. I thought the mango lassi was ok. The peach tea was ok (my mom liked it though and she usually hates milk tea) The game changer for me is the Thai tea. You can taste the tea and the sugar isn't syrupy and overpowering, which honestly is pretty rare and way better than 7Leaves/Sunright/dingtea/bengong read more

New boba milk tea spot in Walnut with modern interior and a small menu of typical and specialty drinks like hojicha and mango jasmine lassi. There's two ordering kiosks inside that take card, you can order at the register, or you can place an online order through Toast for pickup. There's board games available but seating is limited, so it wouldn't be great for big groups but seems perfect for couples. There's plenty of parking directly in front of the shop and around the business plaza. I was in the mood for a thai milk tea and got it at the recommended 70% sweetness. It was milky with a mild tea flavor, and the boba was a bit sticky like it was overcooked. I personally wouldn't get this drink again, but will come back to try their specialty drinks another time. Also, the bottom of my drink gave out as I was driving home. Not sure what happened there as it was fine as I left the store, but maybe double check the bottom when you leave, lol. read more

4 stars (Apart from their crazy Grand Opening experience). Got here at 11:50am (store opens at 12pm) hoping to grab a quick drink, however, the boba gods had different plans for me. The line was wrapped around two sides of the building! We decided to leave after 15 mins since we had an event to attend. At 630pm, we got the urge to come back to see if anything slowed down. The line was definitely shorter (only 2 parties ahead), but they were only taking orders at certain times. Luckily, we were one of the last groups accepted before they closed orders for the night. Although we ordered at 630pm, they said the drinks won't be ready till 8pm. Good thing we had some errands to run because our drinks weren't ready till 9pm! Drinks were good but I'd definitely want to come back a second time in case the quality was off during grand opening. Cups were weird and hard to poke a boba straw through. The jasmine milk tea was one of the top drinks for me since the tea flavor was strong. I was disappointed with the peach oolong cause it was a little plain. They also messed up the drink with the wrong topping. The Lassi mango was good but not cold enough, it's similar to a mango smoothie. Overall, our experience was meh, but that's probably a one-off given the BOGO special. read more

In an area where boba is over saturated, Ming Cha really shines in their tea quality and their attention to detail. From the get-go, their drinks are measured to the tea to ensure a consistent taste every time you visit. For two years, the owner meticulously tested teas from all around the world to ensure delightfulness in their drinks. All teas are imported from Taiwan and their ceremonial grade matcha is imported from Japan. You can really taste the quality of the tea as the flavor is very strong, but is not as bitter as other places. I sampled their Mango Jasmine Lassi which shined in how well you could taste the individual ingredients along with the lassi-like texture, their Matcha Latte which had no grittiness and had a concentrated flavor of rich ceremonial grade matcha, their Thai Milk tea which was not milk and sugar heavy as other boba shops, and their White Peach Oolong which blew me away with how natural tasting and fresh it was. The White Peach Oolong was my favorite because it did not taste like peach syrup but like a crunchy Asian peach! All their drinks are made in-house and their tea quality will not disappoint. I recommend grabbing some drinks before the lines get super long! read more

I visited this shop shortly after they opened on a quiet Monday afternoon. Even though the store just opened a few days ago, I was charmed by the clean and open space inside. To the side, there's a photo board quickly being filled by Ming Cha's customers, adding a community vibe. The staff members were helpful with providing recommendations and answering my questions on the drinks. But what caught my attention was the Mango Jasmine Lassi. The staff told me this isn't like the traditional yogurt Lassi but their own interpretation of the popular Indian drink. Unfortunately, the store just opened and the brown sugar boba was still being prepared, so I settled with just the Mango Jasmine Lassi at 75% sweetness (staff's recommended sweetness) and regular ice. I was genuinely surprised with the Mango Jasmine Lassi. Upon my first few sips, I legitimately thought I was drinking a traditional Mango Lassi. The Mango Jasmine Lassi starts off creamy with vibrant mango flavors. However, the twist to this drink is the fragrant and floral flavors from the jasmine tea. These flavors provided a refreshing aftertaste that complements the creamy mango flavor well. As the ice slowly melted, I was able to further taste and appreciate the subtle flavors of the jasmine tea. I am looking forward to my next visit and try the staff's other recommendations! read more

Local boba shop with fruity and green tea options. Came here a couple of times for dessert after lunch. I've tried the Jasmine mango lassi as well as well as the Jasmine tea with boba. You order via kiosk or can order at the counter. Credit cards are accepted; you pay first and then you receive your order. The drinks are floral and high quality. It smells really nice in the shop and the workers are nice. Plenty of free parking and there is some indoor seating. read more

I've seen Ming Cha all over social media so of course I had to stop by since I was in the area! There is plenty of parking and the drinks are pretty affordable. The staff were very sweet and helpful when it came down to drink recommendations. There were some tables for you to sit at if you needed space to do work while sipping on some quality drinks. Just discovered Ming Cha in Walnut, and wow! Their tea game is next level! They serve up some seriously unique and creative tea blends that are perfect for any tea lover. My absolute favorite? The White Peach Oolong with Mango Mousse. What really intrigued me were all the different types of cloud foams they offer here. There's a lot of variety of teas here. I love that the teas are not too sweet here at all. I really enjoyed the Jasmine milk tea and the Matcha foam as well as the mango white peach. The teas here taste very quality and clean. I need to come back to try the other items . read more
- double matcha: i added agar boba & chose 75% sweetness, which turned out perfect. tbh would come back just for this one. - dubai chocolate latte: actually a hojicha with pistachio twist. thank goodness the barista recommended 50% sweetness. it hit the perfect balance & i really enjoyed this. - white peach oolong: my mom's pick. light, floral, & super refreshing. - brown sugar boba milk: my bro's pick. the brown sugar boba was sooo qq & fresh when we tried it, we knew we had to get it. they have a great, unique selection of drinks & toppings which I highly recommend it. staff were super friendly & accommodating. a perfect spot to chill or hang out with friends. read more

We use our house milk which does contain dairy but we can replace it with oat milk which will be an extra charge.
