This time, I got the seared salmon bowl with black/purple rice. My food was under $15 and I consider that a pretty good deal for downtown. The salmon was cooked perfect and it was well seasoned. The black/purple rice texture was good too. After you order and pay, they don't give you a number so just watch who was before you and that's when you'll know your food is ready for pick up. The inside is small and they have a few seats but those were all taken. The wait for food was much faster than the wait time to order. If you work in the downtown area or you're passing by on a weekday, do check this place out. They accept cash and card. For card payments, there's a 3% fee.

It's not that they're bad, they just don't have any flavor and the sauce that comes with the dish doesn't do much to elevate the it. If you get there early they often will make breakfast bentos that have staples like spam or sausage with eggs and rice at an extremely reasonable price but don't wait too long or they'll be gone quickly. My absolute favorite has to be the sumo bowl which is a very generous sized poke bowl topped with spicy ahi. You can even choose the type of rice that you want and that also includes sushi rice (my fave!). At a price of less than $12 you absolutely cannot go wrong with that option. For those less hungry but still wanting poke, you can opt for a smaller poke and rice combos that are sometimes in the grab and go area for around $5/6. I had free parking right in front, so, I just walked into the cozy, low-key, dimly lit, old-school type of restaurant. The door was open and I couldn't feel any air-conditioning. The nice lady at the counter took my order and said that my plushies were cute when I started photographing them... LOL! We sat at the counter along the right wall. My Chirashi Bowl was okay - not the best. The sushi rice was still warm. The lettuce had a bit of brown on the edges. The fish, tamago, unagi, and tobiko were fresh. I would stop by again because it's so convenient! Note: Remind the lady about the complimentary miso soup, shoyu packet, and wasabi packet... she almost forgot to give me these items... haha!

The namasu was excellent! Spam hash was surprisingly good! Notes: Free parking! Good air-conditioning, clean, and spacious interior! Indoor dining currently has two tables with four chairs each. Located on Iwilei Road which can mean anywhere in the area but luckily it's an easy find as it's not within the catacombs of Dole Cannery but across in the Regal Dole Cannery building making parking a breeze as you can just drive in and park just steps away from the front door and walking in the staff immediately greeted me and asked if it was my first time which it was, briefly described the menu they have which are the bentos are made to order which takes just a few minutes as their kitchen is located upstairs as the staff brings it down using their own elevator is a unique type of service lol! The other option is their Musubi and it comes in a set of 3 for $12 and with 14 types to choose from it was an option that I couldn't resist and chose... - Spicy Ulu - Small Kine Farm Mushroom - Nduja Gotegborg Loved how they packed it with such care and the thought of freshness as each musubi is crafted to order starting with the classic triangle shaped rice is topped with each topping packed alone with the nori in a separate bag along with oshibori, napkin and instruction on how to wrap and enjoy your musubi. I thoroughly enjoyed each bougie musubi and that you're able to order a pack for yourself or to share is amazing and fun option and as I waited for my musubi to be made I browsed around the various fun grab and go treats the have including some butter mochi which I grabbed a few and a "Royal Earl Gray Flan" in the display case that I just couldn't resist and didn't disappoint as it was very elegant and light dessert that I ate way too fast. As the staff mentioned that it's the same owner as Name Kaze as they decided to open this spot is something we're so lucky to have though get here early as they close at 2pm but don't forget to grab some sweet treats as well, so yummy and ready to go.
