PROS Food is delicious and freshly made! The menu is simple and the menu items are affordably priced. Sushi and Burmese is kind of a strange combination, but the Mohinga and Creamy Chicken Coconut Soup were delicious and well worth the price. If you like seafood flavors, Mohinga is for you. But the two of us liked the Creamy Chicken Coconut Soup more. We came on a Sunday afternoon and the place was super empty. Parking was easy since Liliha Food Court only shares the parking lot with McDonald's and the place was super empty. We could leisurely check out all the different vendors in the area and order our food right away. There was plenty of seating and our food was prepared quickly and freshly. CONS Liliha Food Court was really empty when we went (we were probably two of ten people). I hope this place doesn't go out of business, so please support them if you're in the area! The owner works the place by himself and he is a little soft spoken. Please be patient because I'm sure the wait might get long if there's a crowd. read more

Found this unexpected gem in the corner of the recently opened Liliha Food Court, a cozy group of eateries located in the former Foodland at the corner of School and Liliha where McDonald's is. I had gone for Salsa and Bachata on Friday night, It was well attended and I was grateful to find parking in the free lot that is overseen by Security. I had forgotten my new Hydroflask and was relieved to be reunited with it the next day thanks to their security guy. I had just purchased food elsewhere but was curious to see the offerings. I was happy to see Tiny Pyramids, familiar fave, but my eyes lit up when I discovered Mingalar! I did not expect to find Burmese food here! The proprietor Saw was very gracious about offering me a sample when I inquired about their mohinga fish soup. Of course I could not refuse! The broth was a warm, clear broth with hints of some recognizable Southeast Asian flavors but with its own unique taste, different from any I had had before. Yum! Saw then offered me a taste of the creamy chicken coconut soup which was also delicious. Since I hadn't come with the intention of buying food I had to run to the car to get my wallet. It was well worth it ! She packed the soup in a well designed container that separated the noodles and tidbits from the soup so it wouldn't get soggy. While it was nicely packed, when I got home I wish the ratio of soup to noodle had been greater but I guess it was limited by the container. I can't wait to return to try their other dishes some of which sound mind altering and slightly illegal, i.e, their buzzy fermented tea leaves salad and punchy crunchy ginger salad! In addition to Burmese food, this place also serves sushi if you feel like eating East Asian instead of Southeast Asian. What a delightful discovery! read more

This was my first time to this food hall and i wanted to try something different so Mingalar caught my eye, not for the sushi but they have about 5 Burmese dishes. I asked what they recommend and the two workers said the thick noodle salad. It was nice to look at with nice flavors that is a bit hard to describe, just that I enjoyed it! There was some chicken, jalapeños, onion, lime wedge, half a hard boiled egg, and I think fried batter with corn. I liked it a lot and am looking forward to trying more. Located in the Liliha Food court, formerly occupied by Foodland. If you turn left immediately, they're the stall at the end. It's a shared space with other food vendors but what sets them apart is their unique Burmese cuisine and sushi! Mingalar means "Aloha" in Burmese and the food is definitely crafted with love. I've gone twice now and the Burmese options are the winner. My favorite dishes are the chicken noodle salad, chicken curry soup, and Burmese tea leaf salad. The noodle salad has perfectly chewy almost udon thick like noodles, with small pieces of curried chicken, and topped with cilantro, jalapeño, and thin onion slices. The noodle soup is coconut, curry creaminess with ramen "wheat noodles". The tea salad is a mix of textures with crunchy nuts, and soft tomato's and lettuce. The fermented tea leaves are so flavorful and squeeze the lime for a burst of acidity. The sushi roll wasn't the freshest ahi so I wouldn't order it again. But the price is pretty fair for the sushi rolls. Everything is made to order. Give Burmese food a try! You won't regret it. read more

Located at the far corner of the food court, we took our meals to the shared dining area. It's clean, bright and air-conditioned! I appreciate the accessible restroom in the back! We shared the shrimp tempura crunch roll with garlic chips... yum! The combination inari and California roll was filling and good! I was starving and this meal cured my hunger pains! Fun facts.. I love sushi!!! If you like sushi as much as I do, this spot is for you. Located in the new Liliha Food Court (old Foodland) There's a handful of sushi rolls to choose from, I got myself a Shrimp Tempura Roll and it was made fresh right before my eyes. The service here was great, the lady working here was very nice and Although she was the only worker, my food was made very quickly. The price and portion for my roll was reasonable. Located in the corner of the former Foodland Liliha, the owner works the place by himself. A smaller version of the few Burmese food eateries around the island, the limited menu means each selection will be constructed perfectly. Our absolute fav is the tea salad. The abundance of spices coupled with the multiple textures... we pretty much eat this each time we come. Because we drink at Nonna's bar right next door, we have tried the sushi as pupus. It can be limited in supply as he cooks the rice daily... but the rice is of a high quality and the fish is super fresh and delicate. I heard about this place for a while , finally today I have time to visit this food court, it is located in the former Foodland supermarket on Liliha street. They do have a small parking lot that share with McDonald. Inside the food court actually is not that big. Mingalar is located at the left side all the way down to the end once you enter the food court. It is a small place run by one guy. I ordered a double spicy tuna roll to start up with. The owner makes it flesh right there when I placed the order. The roll taste pretty good. I went back for a second order of California roll. He also gave me free sample of chicken vegetable soup to try it out. It tastes also very good. We end up buying one order to take home for dinner. This place also offer other dishes such as soup noodle and salad, etc. For sure I will go back to try other dishes. The price of their dishes are reasonable. Inside Liliha food court, there are tables and chairs you can sit down to enjoy your food. The owner told me all the shops charge 3% if you use credit card. If I pay with cash, I can save. So, I pay cash instead and I told him he should post a sign about that. Recommended. read more

We went to the Liliha food court and happened onto this restaurant. I'm not a spicy food fan so when we asked if their food was spicy, they gave me a sample of the soup broth to try for the coconut chicken noodle soup. It was delicious! Especially on that cold day. I forgot to take a picture of the toppings that go into the soup, but everything was tasty and so filling. I would definitely go back again. The prices are reasonable and service is great. I look forward to going back and also exploring all the other restaurants in there. The music was a little loud, but it was Friday night and the dining area filled up fast. Very delicious sushi. They've recently opened in November 2025. This booth has very friendly and humble workers. Both times my family stopped by, the cashier is also the sushi maker! Interesting dishes for those who want a unique dish to show off. Their booth gives off the feeling of a mom and pop sushi place. We went on a Thursday, and there was just one hardworking guy taking all the orders, so there was a bit of a wait. But the taste was worth it. Came looking to eat something different n came across this eatery. Both my wife and myself tried the punchy, crunchy ginger salad. It was spectacular. It was flavorful, I would compare to a combination of a ginger scallion without the scallions. We complimented to the owner who then allowed us to sample a fish broth and a coconut broth used in 2 separate dishes which was outstanding and flavorful, she even mentioned using no preservatives and using only natural ingredients..
