Paejun: a little bready yet choke full of good ingredients. Delicious
    Li Y.

I'm a sucker for a good Korean savory pancake. When I browsed the selections for the afternoon and saw a delicious looking seafood pancake on the grab and go counter I had to get it. In fact, I grabbed the last two packages! It appears this grab and go counter has a nice selection of both Japanese/local and Korean prepackaged items and made to order. Prices appeared to be more than reasonable. And in the afternoons may even be discounted. Not sure what time that is though. The paejun was deeelicious. Sauce provided gave the perfect seasoning. Sure it wasn't as crispy as if just made to order. But for what it is I would absolutely buy again. Located in the Makai Foodcourt of Ala Moana Center, Aja provides a nice option amongst many options. Located close to the Honolulu Cookie Company kiosk and my other favorite Korean food stall in the foodcourt.

I thought I reviewed this place before I guess not . Located in the Ala Moana food court Diamond head end. It's Aja Sushi & Bento if you're looking for a quick bite to eat or something to take to the beach this is the spot . Today I ordered for lunch a bento with rice, 2 shrimp tempura, fried gyoza and garlic chicken. They also sell Musubi and Korean sushi . Service was fast and quick grab and go to the register.

Garlic chicken - All breading hardly any meat

What the heck happened Aja!!? This place used to be good. Supposedly known for their garlic chicken and now it's literally all batter!! Tough, bland roast beef and the meat Jun (barely any beef) no taste and rubbery. LITERALLY WORST KOREAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD! The beef was inedible; I gave it to my dog. Also, I called trying to get a refund and the manager would not refund my money unless I came back with the old food and receipt. I told her I could give her the receipt/transaction # that was texted to me after I used tap to pay. She said she wouldn't use that either. I also told her I live all the way in Mililani so I can't come back to town. She basically said too bad that's all she can do. That's terrible customer service!! Don't waste your time and money on this place!

Walked around Makai Market Food Court to see what I wanted to eat. Out of many options, I decided on Aja Sushi & Bento. They offer many selections such as garlic chicken, gyoza, grilled fish, japchae and many more. Prepacked for easy grab and go. Everything looked really good. I got the large garlic chicken which was $12.99. Loved the flavors but it was a bit overcooked so some parts of the chicken was kinda dry. Portion was huge. Service was quick.

The saba is under there. It's a huge juicy Saba. Wasn't dry at all.

Came in at 9am. Most of the businesses in the food court was closed, since they open at 10am. Walked to Aja Bento and seen the lights were on employees at the counter prepping orders. Asked if they're open... glad they were open. Ordered the two choice main and 3 choice side. Asked what substitution is available for no rice, they said +1 more side. What a deal, since the rice would be wasted because I don't like rice. Win win! Saba and garlic chicken main. Sides teagu 2x, tofu and broccoli.

I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of options in the Makai Market food court, but the variety at Aja was appealing - you can try several Korean dishes in a bento! I ordered "double" box - 2 proteins, 3 sides, and white rice. For ~$15, the amount of quality food you get is ridiculously good. I got the fried zucchini (they counted this as a protein option), salmon, japchae, seaweed salad, and gai lan. Everything was seasoned well and fresh. I split the "double" box with another person, and we were both full. They also have to-go sides that can be quickly scanned at the register. This is a great option if you want more of a snack than a meal!

WHEN: Sun @10am I wanted to treat myself to something yummy, and without having to stand in line for it. After my friends and I found a table, this spot was just on the other side of the court. I like that the set up is like Poke Bowl, where you get to pick your base, your main and 2 sides. I went for the: White Rice Unagi (+$3) Greens Mac Salad Total came out to be around $15 Wow it was good, and I'm so glad I didn't have to wait in line for it! It's pretty filling, and I didn't even finish all my rice! I made good choices today!

Japchae $7.99 & onigiri $3.29... taste pretty good good but it's a little pricy for an onigiri

One choice, meat jun, with bok choy and Mac salad with white rice. It was good and perfect portion.

They weren't busy like the rest of the food court had lines. Good spot with good choices, or to just grab and go. Tons of bento choices, with sides of gyoza, and vegetable patties, and musubi. We took our food and ate on the upper level because we didn't want to walk around looking for a seat. It was a good, tasty, quick lunch.

Aja Sushi & Bento is located at the Ala Moana Center, as part of their food court offerings, and they have a great selection of to-go items: bento boxes, dumplings, fried chicken, etc. Definitely a good place to grab some freshly-prepared items to go for a picnic, a quick meal, and/or a quick bite. Staff are friendly, and they tend to replenish the selections pretty well. +to-go items +located at the Ala Moana Center

Located in the Makai food court. Great for grab&go. Lots of ready made bento type dishes. We got the Japchae. It was a good sized portion and it was delicious! Aja is definitely a good place for on the go delicious meals!

Inside the Ala moana food court is this cute bento shop that you can buy some small bite , bento, and drinks. I love the location because it is at the corner and not super busy and crowded. The spam musubi is one of my favorite items.

I was in serious carnivore mood. I haven't been in the food court for years so I kinda took a long around. I was starving so I was willing to pay mall prices for food. Then I saw Roast Beef! Yowza! (If you see my posts I've been on Yelp for a while. I've gotten old and now disabled. Consequently I no can eat as much. Now a mini is just right for me. So sad, I love food. I was a fatty, a chunk but now I lost over 60 lbs.) I got the roast beef mini with 2 sides, tofu and japchae. This was about 2 pm so nevah have too many hot food choices. They had the usual Korean sides like fried zucchini but I can go to Palama Market and get it all for much cheaper. The RB is $1.89 more, so my mini was about$16+. Small pieces but it was sliced thick and hard for eat with chop sticks. I really needed a knife and fork. Y'all look at my pix and tell me if it's worth it. I did and was full but I ate it all. I asked for the fattiest beef, I love fat. I like the idea of having "fresh" sides but I did miss my Mac salad. The RB was ONO! Very tasty with the gravy. The male cashier apparently is on some kind of talking limit or is mute. I'm not use to Apple Pay (I'm a dinosaur ok) so I asked questions and he didn't answer me. Just stood there like a statue. I asked do I tap or insert my card. No reply. I think he used his finger to tap. And the nerve that it automatically asks for a tip. Why should I tip a mute dummy. Is he training to be a mannequin? Yes, let's pay someone to stand like a statue, is he a relative's hire? Minus stars for dummy. NO CASH, CARD ONLY

I've been to so many and each and every one is very unique where you can find either fashion runway stage, live street art, or even a dance night in the barn. I just love the vibe SALT and surrounding Our Kaka'ako brings with the vibrant art we're so blessed to have and this particular night (November 19th) there was actually much more shopping just perfect for the holidays and the party went further down to Ya-ya's. Tonight I was fortunate to have gone after work so I kept it short but found some awesome treats. Some straw toppers to add to my holiday gift giving and some cheesecake cups (OG, Strawberry and Cookie Butter) of course I got one of each to share...ate the Strawberry which of course omg was yummy!! Not too sweet as the Strawberries was just perfect as I tried to get an even scoop of it all in every bite. Walked further down and honestly wasn't in the mood to wait too long for anything found something that would just exactly work for me. Ya-Ya's Chophouse & Seafood and tonight they had two items - Steak Kebabs - Fat Fried Rice with TAB (aka Thick Ass Bacon lol!) I seriously wanted the fried rice but thought that the Steak Kebabs was more sensible for me personally and it came with two kebabs each fully loaded with steak, mushrooms, peppers and onions with a huge scoop of rice! So many options I really was considering including Henna from Henna Happens, Birria Tacos from Dolce Vita, Corn from Corn Onoz Hawaii but though there's always a next time yes!?! It has a very pincnic atmosphere, live music, drinking section, etc. you can appreciate it all. My latest fav is Istanbul Turkish cuisine. They have plans to open a brick and mortar place in Chinatown. The food they produce is really tasty. I'd love to see the stuff they make in a full restaurant. Come out, support, if you wish there were more of (fill in blank) types a restaurant, this is a good place to find a food truck and help them make it happen.

I honestly had no idea about Eat The Street, I was bored and checking events on Yelp as always and…read morewas trying to find something fun to do that obviously had something to do with eating. We decided to spend our "Black Friday" here, event started at 4:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m at Kakaako Park but we ended up showing up at 6:00 pm. We honestly didn't have that huge of an issue finding parking and the event wasn't that crowded, I'm sure it had a lot to do with everyone being at the parade or staying home the sl day after Thanksgiving. I highly recommend you show up early cause eating in the dark is kind of a pain so we had to shine the light on our phones to eat. I ordered my first food at "Mega Load Burger", they had choice of sliders and the infamous pineapple bowl with your choice of shrimp, pork, or kalbI. You can even choose fried rice or macaroni and cheese instead, even though it was dark and I couldn't see my food I really enjoyed the flavor of my garlic and rice, they had chunks of pineapple at bottom which made it a little difficult to eat with a plastic fork, but I appreciate they didn't waste it. My boyfriend ordered what we thought was an elote or Mexican corn from "The Corn Project" it was very good but the corn was so small, was a bit expensive for $6. We finally decided to get drinks at "ICE HNL" we saw they had bloodbath drinks on Instagram but were out so we ordered the smokin drink love potion instead, which was good made a instagrammable photo. I also checked "Eat The Streets" page and saw Postmate and Aokis shaved ice was giving away free shaved ice! I thought it was a awesome way to give everyone some nice free treats, make sure you tip! As we were leaving I of course saw a table of donuts laid out! Modo donuts was selling mochi donuts for $2 each and I had exactly $4 left so I asked for cookies and cream and my boyfriend got the matcha flavor. I've never had mochi donuts in my life and I'm so upset I didn't buy more! It was so chewy and delicious my boyfriend tried to steal mine and I had to swat him away! Most business accept card but they have an ATM in the park Incase.
