Someone recommended this place to try and I am so glad we did. We were not sure about the other entrance to the dining room side but sitting in the bar wasn't bad. The bartender/server was beyond amazing once we told her it was our first visit. She gave us plenty of explanations and options. We went with a pizza, hoagie and some wings. Nothing special about the place. I saw the waitstaff deliver an Open-faced Roast Beef sandwich covered in gravy and the smell was tempting. I ordered that and when I open the bread to check the quality of the roast beef, I noticed it was cold and a low-quality - chipped meat. read more

My dog Hunter were out and about on an adventure, and we ended up driving past this place. Yup, past it. We ended up in Weirton W VA, where we stopped at a Sheetz and got gas for 2.98 a gallon--a Pennsylvanian's dream, given PA's outrageous gas taxes! I got a Diet Coke and Hunter got a bottle of water, and we headed on back toward Robinson Township. On the way back, we stopped at the Bavington Roadhouse (that's what it says on their sign, although Yelp has it listed as the Bavington Inn.) I went inside (Of COURSE I left the car running and the A/C on full!!) because a sign on the patio said to go in and order, and then they'll serve you outside. I ordered half a hoagie called the "Covered Bridge"--2 kinds of cheese, ham, a hot sausage patty, fries, coleslaw and tomato on it, and a plain burger for Hunter, who joined me on the deck after I set down the beverages ( a cup of water and one of beer...I'lol let you discern which was for whom. The food came out in a very reasonable amount of time, and they were awesome enough to cut up Hunter's burger for him! My hoagie was terrific! The hot sausage was great, no strange little chewy or hard things in it. That alone made it perfect! Hunter, while not exactly an elitist eater, admittedly, thoroughly enjoyed his burger. By the way, although I was actually only inside for maybe 5 minutes, it's clean and bright and welcoming. There's a separate dining room for those who don't care for bar life. And the deck where Hunter and I were was also clean and pleasant. We won't be out this was too often (unless we hit W VA for gas more often), but I absolutely wouldn't hesitate to stop at the Bavington Roadhouse again! read more

A group of us came here after a hike. We saw a lot of the reviews and thought it was a decent place. Upon arriving the older waitress behind the bar (who seems to be mentioned a lot in these reviews and we believe to be the owner) at first seemed nice, however she seemed to get impatient with us. She was insisting we order more than one thing at a time (we were new here and didn't know the menu) and seemed to laugh at us. Because of this, we didn't realize that when ordering an entre, such as a burger, it did not come with fries, and that was a separate 5 DOLLARS on top of an already 12 dollar burger! Granted, the food was decent, but not for 17 dollars. Additionally, there appears to be a hidden 3% charge for credit cards that is not posted anywhere at the restaurant that our friend didn't realize until he got his receipt, and when he was looking at his receipt trying to figure out why the bill was so expensive the waitress scoffed at him as if he was ridiculous. If she treats her CUSTOMERS like this, I can't even imagine how she treats her EMPLOYEES. Overall, would recommend to avoid. Many 5 stars are paid reviews that don't actually show the business in a true light. Won't ever be returning and sad that we went there. Wonderful family owned business - bar area separate than dining area. Outdoor dining area is very nice as well. Great selection and wonderful pizza and salads... and oh the fish - fantastic! This is a go to spot for friends to get together as well as families. During certain nights it can get a bit rowdy and loud - as some people find this a place to stop before going to a concert at The Pavilion at Star Lake and they need to mind their manners. The Bavington Inn is the ideal neighborhood place for a meal or beverage. The restaurant and bar area are very ckean, updated and well staffed with friendly servers. They also have a nice outdoor dining area. The menu has all the Tavern and Inn favorites at reasonsble prices.... burgers, salads, sandwiches, pizza and plenty of ice cold beer. We cerainly enjoyed our meal. People living in Burgettstown are lucky and if you live in Robinson or the Airport area it's not far. read more

I was thinking nice homemade specials, homemade dressings, good wings......something to go back for but it was not to be. It will be a while before we try it again. I love it here. There are so few places to eat in this town and I never get tired of this menu. I take out once a week and have been happy every time. Great menu options, nice people, and there has never been even one slight discrepancy between my order and the package of food that was received. Multi sauces, several "euuuuuu I only want XYZ condiment on my sandwich" requests, every time ...perfection! Great portions & fantastic service. P.S. pizza is wonderful, wonderful portions of toppings, which include the "good pepperoni" as we call it at my house. The Bavington Inn looks like the local watering hole and make no mistake, it is. HOWEVER, they have a large menu with non-typical bar options: lots of sandwiches and salads to chose from as well as traditional bar far of burgers and wings. I have eaten here several times while in the area for work and will return if I come back in town. Not what it use to be. Ordered fish dinners they gave me the wrong order than tried to tell me it was what I ordered. The waitress was rude, and did not even consider apologizing. I came here has a kid over 20 years ago, and come here every time I'm home. Call it a dive bar, biker bar, what ever you want. The food is good, the have decent beers and a good variety of craft beers. It's close to Mt bike trails and the place is just cool as long as the hipsters stay away. Just be prepared to be in the presence of loud talkers, but that's how we roll and so should yinz. read more

I've not been in the bar area, but have eaten in the restaurant side many times. It's family friendly. Our service has always been excellent. My oldest loves the wings, my youngest loves the pizza, while hubby and I go for the sandwiches. The sweet onion burger is awesome! Try them, I think that you'll be pleased. read more
