Minh is a QUEEN at alterations. I ordered these dresses online, and they were very long and loose on me. She altered them to fit me perfectly! The green ao dai was especially large on me and even had an elastic waistband. She was able to fix it and get it to be the perfect size. She is quick and friendly and is a pro at what she does. My mom has been going here since I was a child.. I dropped off a bridesmaid dress last week for pick up today (weds) I showed up at 1130am and there was a sign that says return 130. I had to come back from Costa Mesa at 2 with my son only to find out she forgot about my dress. I couldn't wait and when I finally got it back wasn't able to try it on. Wish I never even bothered. I'm going to have to safety pin the dress to make it work... Good price but unreliable and never picks up the phone. read more

This place is located in a small strip mall section right off the freeway (or pretty close) in the plaza adjacent to the Life Reflexology massage place, near the tutoring place. The place is small, with about two dressing rooms and the place can be tight and a little smelly at times. The good thing about Minh is that she actually does excellent work from what I've seen and can tell. I don't think she uses the finest threads and equipment to alter your clothing, however I find her craftsmanship to be very intricate and thorough. She was also very upfront with me on what she could and couldn't do. In some cases she was willing to forgo a sale and just told me to return an item as fixing it won't look as nice. The best part is that her prices are very reasonable for the type of work offered. But in return, you won't get fancy dressing rooms and world class hospitality. All in all, it's all in what you make of it. If you are altering a $5000 suit, perhaps it's better to take it to a higher end tailor. But if you're altering lower end clothes, I don't see many reasons to pay more for alterations costs than for the clothes item itself. read more

AMAZING, AFFORDABLE (and cash only!) I have been coming here for 5 years now, and Minh never disappoints. I never got something tailored and wanted to make additional alterations. Most of the time, I need something to fit a little tighter or to cut a couple inches off from the bottom of a dress/pants. Each item would range from $7-15 depending on the type of clothing and exactly what needs to be done. But so affordable!! There was a time that I was desperate to alter a dress for the next day because I was flying to another state. And Minh did it. She's amazing. And sweet. I have to say for a small town in Alberta, we are lucky to have an amazing tailor. I have taken a lot of clothes to be tailored that are complicated pieces and difficult material to work with. He has done an amazing professional job on every piece of clothing, gladiators sandals and purses. He is honest and fair in price. He is busy so expect to wait for your items, unless you explain him the need for urgency. I always pay him extra for the time constraints as he is doing me a huge favor. I would recommend anyone who is in need of altering and a professional tailor. read more

In a small, mostly-ignored strip of stores, is a gem of a tailor with very reasonable prices. I've been going to her for years. She even does original-hem alterations!! Make sure you specify this if you want to keep the original hem, otherwise, she'll do a regular hem. Her shop is really small, but it still manages to include two dressing rooms that you can use to try on stuff for her to show her exactly what you want changed. Even when I was in Irvine, I'd drive all the way down here to get my alterations done, because she's quick, accurate, and professional. I went to a tailor in Irvine once and left some jeans there for alterations because I didn't want to drive. BIG mistake. They charged me $16. WTH?! I used to get my jeans altered from her for only $5! Well, I learned my lesson. And I've never been disloyal to her since. And I don't know if it's because I've been a loyal customer that she does this, but she'll do one-day alterations if you're really in a pickle. Of course, she charges a little extra. But, when stupid me realized that my dress was too long for the party that I was going to later on the same day, I went to her immediately, and she told me to come back in 4 hrs to pick it up. What a lifesaver! She's just so sweet and friendly! Due to the economy, I did notice that her prices went up a little. I used to get original-hem jean alterations for $8, but now it's $10. I'm assuming it's because of this downward-spiraling economy. I can't complain though, it's happening everywhere. But, I'm hoping this Yelp review may bring her more business because she really does deserve it. And maybe it'll bring prices down again :) read more

I was very happy with the job & the price I paid for my alterations. I have has a series of bad experience with altering my clothes, in fact I avoid them. If I have clothed that need to be altered, I usually give them away, or don't buy them. I am actually planning on taking more clothes back here. I took a suit jacket & two matching suit skirts. The jacket needed to be taken in on the waist, one skirt needed to be taken in on the waist & the other had some rips and tears that needed repair. She did an excellent job measuring me, and got the clothes back to me over the weekend (very fast). When I got the clothes back they looked excellent. The jacked looked very fit (which is hard for my body, because I am very un-proportionate). The skirt was a bit complicated to do, because it could not just be cut from the side. She had to take it from the hem lines on the back. It came out looking perfect. It looks better the one I have at home (in the right size), that I bought like that. She also fixed a few rips she found that might open up later on down the line. Not to mention she only charged me the original $30 she quoted me. Any taylor I know would charge $25 (at least), just for the jacket. I now trust her with some of my expensive evening gowns. read more

the first 2 times i tried to go to this tailor they were cosed at 2 pm on a wednesday? im not sure what happened, but their door was locked and their sign said open. this tailor is a lot closer to my house than my usual tailor, so i thought i would give it a try for simple jobs such as hemming dresses and jeans and such. i tried again to go to this tailor 2 weeks ago to ask if i could get my dress hemmed...at least they were open this time. i needed the dress hemmed in such a way that i could lower it at least 2 inches later on, because i intended to give it to my sister, whose taller than me, so that she could wear it. this tailor said that it couldnt be done, and thta she would have to cut the hem, in order to shorten it. well! i left and went to my usual tailor, who worked with me to come up with a good solution. this is the last time i try to come to minh's. try TK instead, the prices might be a little steep, but you get what you pay for. read more

She would give you advice on which part to alter and will generally ask you for input as well to name sure thr suit will fit. Her prices are good.
