Best tailor ever! I needed to have the zipper on my favorite pair of jeans replaced. I came here because the reviews were good and I wanted a good tailor to make sure my jeans were fixed right. I dropped off the jeans and picked them up a few days later. They did an amazing job and the price was way better than other places. They were also friendly. I highly recommend coming here. They do such a great job I honestly don't think you need to do the original hem. I usually bring in my clothes batches @ a time & it typically takes them 2-3 days. The Good: Good tailor at reasonable prices. I was referred here when I bought some jackets and they were a bit long in the arms, damn these t-rex arms. He did a great job and it only took the weekend to finish it. He also cut off all the labels, tags, opened up pockets and whatever they do to the tail. I have not clue why the sew everything up on jackets. The Bad: He wasn't the friendliest guy. I was standing in his small room for a few minutes, while he finished cleaning the place. I've been going to this Tailor shop for more than 10 years even though I've moved a few hundred miles away. I always bring pants that need hem alterations to them whenever I visit my family in the area. The owner is a nice, easygoing guy and they always deliver on-time with professional results and very reasonable pricing. His prices are are more than reasonable ($7 for jeans and keeping original hemming!) and turnaround time is relatively fast (they do offer same day if they are not overly busy). Yes, it's a small shop and you may have to wait a bit on very busy days, but I've been coming here for years now and have never left disappointed. I've had jeans, slacks, dress shirts, t-shirts and jackets tailored and they all came out great! Quick, inexpensive and great quality tailoring. Usually has a day turn around for hemming, which is what I mainly get done here. My friend always makes me try it on afterward, which I recommend, but I rarely have an issue. If you're having your pants hemmed, make sure to wear the shoes you think you'll wear the most with those pants, that way the length will be perfect. Most of the women who get their pants hemmed usually wear heels, so they have a few pairs (albeit in small Asian sizes) in the dressing area just in case you forget to bring your own. I personally get my work slacks done, and I generally wear flats, so I don't like to keep my hem long. Each to her own. read more

The owner was terrible and mean. The people he hired to do the alterations did the terrible job hamming the sleeves for my dress. I asked him to redo and he told me never to come back the next time. WTF! He told me to read the sign "Refuse to service to anyone"! All I was asking was for him to redo because the stitches were missing a few on the sleeves and it was obvious to see it. I know how to sew, too. But I don't have enough equipment to do it from home. So I took it to his shop for the alterations and expected that it should be done professionally. But unfortunately not! Please save your money and do not bring your clothes here for alterations. I drove over 200 miles to this shop at the recommendation of a relative. I dropped off 4 items and 3 came back fine. The 4th item however-- pants were not tapered correctly and the hem was too short. I was told to come back the following week. Second visit - they could not find the item so told me to come back the following day. Third visit - The pants looked like a court jester's outfit. The owner was rude, unprofessional, and would not even look at me when I was talking. I was afraid to ask for another alteration as the pants were already ruined. His wife was equally rude. If you want your work clothes ruined, please bring them here. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

I started getting my alteration done here since it's a friend uncle's place. They do a great job with hemming jeans/pants with the original seam line or just original cut hem. Super fast service upon request, where I've had jeans hemmed up within a few hours for a special night on the town. I have been coming to this place for over ten years. The owner is extremely nice and prices are so cheap for the good quality work he does. He remembers me every time I come in and even knows my sizes off the top of his head and knows exactly what I want done when I have a pair of jeans to be restyled. If he doesn't remember he has my measurements on a piece of tape on a wall which makes me feel important haha. confession: i frequent this place about twice a week, to drop off and pick up. a bit excessive you think? well, when you stand about 5'2, every single article of clothing, sans some t-shirts/tank tops, needs to be nipped/tucked/hemmed. located on the 2nd floor of the vietnamese mega-mall phuc loc tho (sp?) in little saigon, van quan's walls are lined with bespoke mens blazers and jackets galore...i immediately knew i would like this place. i have had too many bad tailoring jobs at korean-run cleaners-cum-alteration places that are overpriced. upon entering, the kindly bespectacled uncle-esque store owner will direct you to the changing room and he will professionally and accurately pin your hemlines just by eyeballing the clothing item!! last but not least...the rates are incredible. he does original hem for 12 dollars (!!) and regular hems for 6-7 dollars (no joke). jacket arm lengths are corrected for 8 bucks. items will be usually ready in two-three days, just tell him you want it the earliest possible. if there is no rush, it will be ready within the week anyway. ending on an economic note: extend the shelf life of your old clothing by having it tailored, ie turning maxi dresses into minis, flared pants into skinnies. Had two things done; sleeves hemmed on a lined wool coat and pants hemmed on an unlined pants. Both came out great and it cost me only $16. The store is located on the top floor towards the FRONT of the mall. Parking is HORRENDOUS at this mall. At least there is a Zagat rated pho restaurant and a great food court while you are there. read more
