My kids and I have been discussing replacing our minivan with a smaller car for years, but I loved…read moremy minivan (still do) and couldn't imagine parting with it. Over the past few months, my son and I searched for affordable used cars, test-drove cars, shopped around for a good trade-in price for the minivan, and even posted the minivan on Marketplace. Yesterday, as I drove off the High Street bridge and returned home to Alameda, instead of turning left, I drove straight to Diamond Auto's lot. I recognized my son's dream car by the enormous spoiler on the back. I took it for a test drive. I sat with Alex to discuss the price. Today, my son and I test drove the car. We sat with Alex to discuss the price and the warranty (3-months, which isn't much, but it's 3-months longer than any other warranty we were offered). We came to an agreement. I gave Alex the keys to my beloved minivan (which is now for sale, by the way), a lump sum on my credit card, and drove away in a sporty sedan. It wasn't just that we found the right car at the right price today. We found the right salesperson. Alex is supporting the local community as well as his own family. He negotiates directly and clearly. He speaks respectfully to middle-aged women and teenage kids. No gimmicks. No pressure. No confusing equations. Tell him what you need, and he'll tell you what he needs. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, no pressure. I enjoyed doing business with him.

Consumer Warning Regarding My Family's Experience…read more DO NOT! I repeat do not do business here!!!! They are a scam and hungry to screw over hard working people!! P I am sharing this review to inform potential customers about a very concerning experience involving a close relative. My relative visited this dealership after seeing advertisements stating that customers could put $1,000 down and drive away in a vehicle. Based on those representations, my relative provided the owner, Hossain, with a $1,000 down payment. The owner handed my relative the keys to the vehicle and instructed him to drive the vehicle home, stating that the remaining paperwork and additional payment could be completed later. No sales contract, financing agreement, or other ownership documents were provided at that time. After my relative had taken possession of the vehicle at the owner's direction, the owner later claimed that he had never sold the vehicle and allegedly suggested that my relative had unlawfully taken it, despite having personally accepted the $1,000 payment and voluntarily providing the keys. Based on this experience, I strongly encourage prospective customers to exercise extreme caution before conducting business with this dealership. Never leave the premises without receiving and reviewing all required purchase or financing documents, a signed sales contract, and written proof of the terms of the transaction. If a dealer requests payment without providing proper documentation, consumers should carefully consider whether to proceed and may wish to seek independent legal advice before completing any transaction. This review reflects our family's experience and is shared to encourage transparency and help other consumers make informed decisions.

These fees were not included in the final contract, even though they can be verified through the DMV. This resulted in over $1,000 in unexpected late registration fees. I recommend that buyers review all fees carefully and verify everything before signing. ***Lemon*** Here are useful websites 1. https://drive.dmvonline.ca.gov/s/complaints?language=en_US 2. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/customer-service/report-an-issue-or-complaint/ 3. https://oag.ca.gov/contact/consumer-complaint 4. https://reportfraud.ftc.gov 5. https://www.bbb.org/file-a-complaint

Excellent communication, service, and timely replies. I received a significant discount on the OTD price, even when including the BuySide Auto fee. On top of that, I NEVER had to step into a dealership, talk to a salesperson directly, spend hours playing the "let me ask my manager" game, or have to talk to a Finance manager and repeatedly say NO to unnecessary options. All communication was easily done through email and text, although phone and in-person contact was also available. Process starts with completing a convenient online request. From there, Kim contacted me to fully understand my wishlist, range of optional requirements, and any non-negotiables. After reaching out to their dealer network, within a day she provided a list of potential matches with estimated OTD prices, which included some in SoCal available for transfer to the Bay Area and cars still in production with estimated availability dates. I had a lot of questions and some requests and Kim was very responsive and instrumental in relaying them to the dealer and advocating for me. Even my request to remove all dealer installed options was negotiated by Kim and granted by the dealer with no hassle on my end. I paid the BuySide Auto fee to reserve the car for purchase and when the car was available I opted to pickup at their office in SF. Home delivery to SF is also currently no charge, while delivery outside of the city is available with a modest fee. Upon first contact, I asked if weekend pickup or delivery was available, since their normal hours are on weekdays. Kim made note of it and remembered my preference even after the sale was completed. Chris was able to make himself available for Saturday pickup! We took a walk around the car took a look inside. We spent no more than 10 minutes reviewing and signing paperwork, received my keys, and I was off with my brand new car! Both Kim and Chris were great to work with and I have no hesitation in working with them again for future car purchases.

Our family purchased and sold several cars here, and we recommend them to our clients all the time and always hear good things. My daughter got into a car accident with her almost 20 year old car and it wasn't worth it to pay for the repair. She came down to look at some cars we identified on their website, which is super easy to use and understand. The lot is filled with clean title, immaculate cars. We got to meet Edward and his associate Steve in person. So friendly and not pushy at all, but they helped us make a decision by getting to know my daughter and what was important to her. Once we picked a car and agreed on price, Edward spent quite a bit of time explaining each page of the contract, to make sure we understood. As my daughter signed her first contract, wow, adulting, it was a proud moment, and a fun one too, as it was NOT the typical, tense, too long sit down at a dealership. It was a pleasure to sit across the table from Edward, who spent all the time with us that we needed, and not a minute more. I hear some complaining about purchasing used cars and then they have problems. First, some perspective: used cars are sold AS IS, so if you're not sure about a vehicle, get it inspected by your own mechanic, you buy at your own risk. Second, older cars can have issues. That's not the fault of the dealer. If you want no problems, buy new and get a warranty. That said, Ed does a great job making sure the cars are clean. There were a couple of minor issues with the car, so we came back a week later and he took care of them himself, no charge. There's also a 90 day limited warranty, where he will split the repair costs if you use his recommended shop, Super Auto down the street. We already go there, they are geniuses with diagnostics and have lower labor rates than most. I already trusted Autometrics because of my husband's many transactions and referrals, and now, after my first hand experience, I highly can highly recommend them. I wouldn't trust just anyone with my own child, that's for sure!
