We signed a paper contract when they dropped off the unit, although I don't really remember signing a contract. But then 3.5 years later, they sent us a digital contract and asked us to sign it. But because I don't remember the paper contract, I refused to sign the digital contract. Even though we were paying every month on time for the last four years, they refused to give us one more month with the unit because we refused to sign the contract. Additionally, after returning the unit, my credit card was charged two months in a row, and I had to call the company to get a refund on my credit card. I would recommend the business because the delivery and pickup of the unit was simple. But everything else involved with renting this unit, I don't recommend.

I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau, my insurance company, and to any and all business review agencies like Yelp. I must say that I am leaving now that the new management has created an atmosphere of distrust, dishonesty, and lies. When I first moved my trailer, I was very happy with Donna Strickland managing the property because she was very quick to notify someone if there ever was an issue, concern, or question about my property. Since the new management has taken over, we have experienced property damage that they refused to report. It was only found after we checked on the trailer. We were told that it had been that way for over a year, which is an outright lie. I had been to my property in January 2022 to retrieve items from the trailer and there was no problem at that time. We were then told that we did this, which again was an outright lie. Our property was hit by another vehicle and the management never informed us or took a report from the other vehicle involved. They are now claiming that cameras, which were in place are not working. They are refusing to take responsibility for the damage since they failed to report the incident. They have been dishonest in the handling of this matter and have lied every time I question them about this matter. We were told that a report would be sent to Corporate but that was over a month ago and still, no one has contacted us about this matter. I will be happy to inform anyone that has property at Fort Knox Storage in Columbia, Maryland to reconsider and move it as soon as possible. I would NEVER recommend anyone use this facility until the management has changed. This is 100% a dishonest business and they are 100% dishonest in their business dealings. Poor management and communication…read more I was an EZStorage customer for several months. The #1 reason I went with them was because they said they cater to the business person and accepted deliveries. Their facilities were safe and clean, not sketchy like other storage places. I was getting deliveries on a weekly basis and all was fine for months. Then all of a sudden, I got a notice that a delivery was refused and UPS was sending it back! I was really confused. This has only happened before when UPS is delivering after hours or on weekends. This was a weekday in the middle of the day. I called EZStorage who said as of that day it was a "corporate decision" to no longer sign for packages. They did not send me any notification, call me or email me. I found out only through my Amazon.com notice. I run a business and deliveries are highly important. My staff was left without supplies due to EZStorage's "corporate decision". I'm now left scrambling to move and change the deliveries that are already in progress. Which isn't easy if you have ever called UPS/Fedex to reroute something. The UPS Delivery driver told EZStorage that I need to sign something and have it on file with them. However, UPS tells me EZStorage is a commercial location and someone has to sign for it. I'm totally screwed and due to no warning from EZStorage. Worse is that they changed this policy and I paid for my month with the expectation of having deliveries accepted. I demand a refund from them for the time they made this corporate decision to the end of the month because it's highly unfair for me to have to pay when they changed what they are offering. Their rates are also higher than other storage locations. I also got a climate controlled unit but I was sweating bucketing so I doubt it's really climate controlled. They lie about what they offer and I would not recommend them to anyone. Also, when I find out about this policy is when a package of 8 large items is in transit. The only option UPS will give me is picking them up at their facility. As if I have a vehicle that fits 8 large items. They have made my life inconvenience and cost my business money and time. HORRIBLE
