Who's not in the mood for a great local breakfast place. Small charming corner restaurant with great service and hearty breakfast dishes. Love the interior so calming and relaxed. We ordered the biscuits and gravy (original and sausage) with a side of bacon. Loved both the styles but preferred the original a tad bit better. We were excited that this place opened back up because we never got to try it and oh were we so disappointed. As my boyfriend says we could have made a better breakfast at home. I've been wanting to try this place for 3 years. I drive by it all the time. But the exterior appearance is not great. Today I finally decided to go in. It made me regret of not doing it before. The place inside is super nice, clean, very friendly. It exudes a family feeling. The owner, Umberto, is one of the nicest people I've met, ever. He really makes you feel like a valued customer, almost like family. Food was good. I had a Tuna Melt, which is a very simple sandwich. Nevertheless, it was pretty good. The cole slaw that came with it was delicious. On my way out, I grabbed a walnut brownie, and that was amazing. Definitely tasted homemade. I am a big corned beef hash aficionado. There are so many restaurants that use canned. I gravitate toward those that have good UK vibes that tend to make it great. Though they don't home make it, it's got to be one of the best premade I've ever had. I talked to the owner about it once and was told that it wouldn't be on the menu if it wasn't good. The restaurant is small. Service is good and quick. I'll update this when I've tried some of the other foods but based on this it's a must for corned beef hash! Make sure they are open before you come. Lately they have only been open weekdays for breakfast and lunch. That's the reason they don't have 5 stars from me. This unassuming little diner is a gem! The staff is super friendly, the food is good, and coffee is hot! I haven't been able to order anything else after I ordered the Turkey Club Omelette! Bacon, turkey and chunks of tomatoes, in an omelette, with Swiss cheese melted on top and smothered in hollandaise sauce!! OMG!!! See pics. I also had a Reuben sandwich (no bun), with creamy coleslaw (see pic), and you just can't go wrong with a side of kielbasa! I drive past this establishment every morning when I take my son to school since I live close by. I'm always eager to try new places specially local ones and I liked the reviews and have been curious for sometime about this establishment. It is situated across from a Racetrack gas station so after gassing my car up and getting a coffee across the street, innocently I decided to go and have breakfast. I was immediately told I wasn't allowed to come in with an outside drink meaning, the coffee I had just bought since they sold coffee. I proceeded to quickly apologize and walked out the door. Very disappointed that this establishment has such antiquated policies. I could've been a regular, repeat customer but instead, I shall never be back here again nor will I ever recommend to anyone. I would expect this from "Del Frisco's" but not from a 2-bit diner that's always empty. I can see why. I would've still bought an Orange Juice with my breakfast guys, jeez! What's with the greed!? You rather loose an entire breakfast bill than to allow someone to come in with a gas station coffee? Makes no sense whatsoever. Anyways, your loss. read more

This was our first and probably last visit. Although their customer service was phenominal the food wasn't. The grilled steak skillet was grizzle and unable to be cut and the eggs were over hard. (Meal was comp'd.) The omlet was apparently cooked in a cast iron skillet as my plate was served with eggs sitting in black oil. The hashbrowns and sour dough bread were good. Yet another great breakfast place! We stopped in on Saturday on our way down to Lakeland. Greeted at the door and told we were welcome to sit anywhere that had silverware on it. Our orders were taken promptly with a few suggestions thrown in. I had the basic bacon and eggs with hash browns.....I was very pleased with the bacon. It had a wonderful flavor and cooked just right! Crisp but not crumbling in my hand. My over medium eggs were a little underdone but no worries....I was stuffed! My fave thing to get there is their bacon cheeseburger. Holy smokes this baby is delicious. They are reasonably priced and have lots of options. Such a nice little cozy diner this is. I decided to try the burger and the half pound slab was the best I've ever had in Florida. Loved the fresh French fries and the burger toppings. It's a diner/dive. And the food is delicious. My wife and I just moved out to Minneola and this place was the first place we ran to for lunch. It was AMAZING! Now, we had the lunch special (open face roast beef sandwich) and chicken fried steak. Both were very good and the gravy was delicious. Both also came with mashed potatoes. I'd say just "good" on most counts, except that the identity here didn't really fit a diner so much as an artist loft-y sort of upscale joint, all still in a diner's clothes. Prices were moderate and portions fairly small. Very unique. It's open, with dark colored walls and just a little bit of flair. Also, the staff takes care of you communally, as opposed to a single designated server. Or so it seemed. I see this place getting a lot better with time. It seemed to be brand new, just getting its feet, and the like. I'm not sure what dish I would suggest, but see if you can make it have bacon.
