I was pretty full from a quarter of the burger, because it was so packed with things (onion rings, cheese, patty, etc.). The fries are also a classic. The rigatoni was also pretty good; it's your classic vodka sauce. As for the salmon, I was a HUGE fan. The maple-bourbon glaze on the salmon gave it a nice smoky, savory, and sweet flavor that paired amazingly with the garlic herb rice. I could honestly eat this for days. I ordered the mussels in wine sauce and shared it with the others and everyone thought it was very good. There was also raw oysters from the North Shore that I thought were very good, but I am not a connoisseur of fine oysters like my cousin and mother. They both told me how great they thought the oysters were. I also had the grilled whole porgy and thought it was very nicely done with some blackening seasoning. All in all, was a great night with family I don't get to see often, and the staff and owner of Artie's deserve all the credit for for making it a great night. Very disappointing, especially when they were first serve to me and they were ice cold in the middle. They did not have the flavor nor amount of clams that they had in the past. Had the Manhattan clam chowder, and it was watery, clam less and lack the flavor of years gone by. Raw clams and accoutrements were delightful. Beer was cold. Plenty of staff and all nice sweet kids. I don't think any of them have been working there more than a week. In conclusion, I understand why they have to charge what they do, but you can't have it both ways, you need to deliver on the product. Place looked good like always.
