Pete's was such a great experience! They have beautiful outdoor seating right on the water, plus a little outdoor bar where you can grab drinks and enjoy the views. I had the lobster tacos, which were absolutely delicious! They come as an appetizer with three tacos, but they're definitely filling enough to have as a meal. My mom got the lobster roll, and she loved that as well. Our waitress was also fantasticsuper attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great food, beautiful location, and excellent service. Definitely a five-star experience!

This a good spot located on the water. It is typical of the seafood restaurants in Long Beach that serves fried seafood and grilled fish. Food is simple and good. The service is top notch.

Our friends took us here by boat. It's their go to place for buckets of muscles. It was a gorgeous day and we sat outside. It was very comfortable and as the old dump across the water is covered with grass, the views were pleasant. I loved my bucket of steamers; i can't recall the last time I saw this former Long Island staple on a menu. My fish sandwich was odd. The flounder was excellent, but served open face on a few slices of white bread toast. The crab/shrimp salad was also good. My friends enjoyed their chowder too. Service was friendly and attentive. Outside is casual. The inside restaurant looked a little fancy.

A great place for date night, or family dinners, you can't go wrong at Peter's! Located right on the waterway, it's beautiful scenery while enjoying dinner and good company. We stopped by over the weekend to have dinner with the family when celebrating a birthday. Everything came out great, and everyone was happy. The service was great, we were take care of immediately. There were several dishes ordered, but I had the lobster mac and cheese along with the surf and turf. The Mac and cheese were really good. The surf and turf was cooked how we liked it, and it was tender and flavorful. Definitely a must try if you're looking for an evening dinner place, or even a lunch date.

One of the staples whenever I go to Long Beach! The place has ample of parking along the side of the main road before the bridge, in the lot right outside the restaurant, as well as an additional lot across the street. There is a clam bar on one side, a fancier in house dining, as well as outdoor seating in the back by the deck looking across the marshes. I've Sat at all 3 places and my favorite view is definitely the back outdoor deck! The employees are very nice and greeted us upon walking in. My dad and I shared a Manhattan clam chowder, half a dozen blue point oysters, a lobster roll, and an order of baked clams. The Manhattan clam chowder came with the mini sized oyster crackers which elevated the texture of the soup! The soup itself was delicious - flavorful without being overly salty nor was it too oily. Perfect consistency and definitely my highlight of the meal. As for the oysters, they were very good and big too! I usually order the steamers as well but it would be too much food for 2 people! My go to at every seafood place is baked clams! This place makes it a bit different as the clams are cut into tinier pieces mixed within a thick layer of breading. Much to my surprise, this was my least favorite item for the day. As the lobster roll, they usually come cold but since it wasn't busy the waitress allowed for us to request it hot and with butter. Although it was quite expensive, it came with a lot of lobster meat and the pieces were big too! I wished it didn't come with fries though because the toast was already too much carbs. The waitress and other employees were all very friendly and came to check on us throughout the meal. Will definitely be back!

3.75 If you're in the Oceanside/Island Park area--or just looking for seafood that isn't another cajun boil spot--this place is worth checking out. I wasn't sure what to expect from the outside. There's outdoor seating facing Long Beach Road for the "Clam Bar" portion, and then there's the "Clam House," which I assume is their more formal dining area. We ate in the house section, and it was a pleasant surprise. I wouldn't call it modern or upscale, but it definitely isn't your typical local seafood shack with wooden decor and ocean-themed paraphernalia everywhere. The servers were friendly--ours was totally cool with giving us extra time to decide, which we appreciated since it was our first visit. As for the food, we ordered the baked clams, lobster mac & cheese, po' boy, and clam strips. The standout was definitely the lobster mac & cheese--it had just the right amount of creaminess and lobster. The fries that came with the po' boy and clam strips were also well-cooked. The rest of the dishes were okay, though I do wish they had a bit more seasoning. One plus: the portions are generous, so we ended up with leftovers to take home. Would I come back? Definitely. I'd order the lobster mac & cheese again and try a few other things next time.

Peter's Clam Bar is a local legend and rightfully so. Tucked along the water, this place feels like a living piece of Long Island history. It's been part of the community for years, and walking in feels like coming home. The clams? Absolutely unreal. Fresh doesn't even begin to describe it. Each one tastes like it was pulled from the ocean just moments before hitting your plate. The cherrystones were a personal favorite of mine. plump, cold, perfectly briny, and bursting with flavor. There's something beautifully simple and old-school about Peter's. No frills, no gimmicks, just quality seafood and a deep sense of tradition. It's the kind of place that doesn't need to shout to be heard. It's been doing things right for decades, and it shows. If you're craving that pure, salty taste of the sea and a side of local charm, this is the spot.

Excited to try someplace further from where I live. My friend and I made plans to come and saw that we couldn't make a reservation for 2 people. So we played it by ear and went when we could, for Restaurant Week. The menu was nice sized, with plenty of choices. Imagine our surprise when we arrived, there was only 1 other couple in the dining room. What a cute spot, located on the water, we must return another time to see the view. The dining room seemed to have been renovated with tasteful fish scale walls, beautiful aqua blue glass tiles and giant fish adorned on the walls. Our server Addison(Edison?) was very polite. My friend ordered a Cocoloko-tini, which was beautifully served but not worth the $17. She had the lobster bisque to start and I ordered the fried calamari. She said there were a couple of pieces of lobster in it and my calamari was average fare. We both opted for the fried seafood platter, which consisted of flounder, shrimp, clam strips and scallops, served over a huge portion of deliciously hot French fries. There was coleslaw, ketchup and homemade tartar sauce served on the side. The portion was so big, that it supplied 2 more meals (snack and lunch)! Desserts was chef's choice. They offered us cheesecake with raspberry sauce, carrot cake and red velvet cake. No pics of dessert cause I forgot. Couldn't pass up the $29 price for restaurant week!

This visit was a real disappointment. We started off with the chowders - New England better than Manhattan (the Manhattan tasted old with lack of flavor). The calamari was too cold by the time it got to the table. We looked forward to our entrees, but it just got worse. The lobster in the grilled cheese did not taste fresh at all, and the salmon burger was "ok" at best, as it was the safest thing we had. The french fries were warm and got us through the meal. We tried to let management know about our meals. They took off the cost of the chowder and calamari, but the total after was still not worth it ($146). This used to be a staple for the area, but it has definitely lost it's touch. The people are nice and the view is great, but getting food here is not a pleasant experience.

In fact, it didn't make it out of the parking lot (see photo for evidence). I have no regrets, that chowder was full of chunks of clams, potatoes, celery, and corn. Buttery, creamy, and filling. Barely had room left for the Buffalo chicken popcorn shrimp but somehow I managed. Crispy, well-sauced, with just the right amount of punch. Took it to go but looks like a fun place to stay and eat. I was in and out with my food and still three employees said "Thank you, have a good day" or some iteration of that phrase. First time ever here, see you again real soon!

I have ordered takeout before but today I just needed a moment to sit and enjoy something comforting . This place and the chowder did the trick. The place has been around since the 30's so that says a lot. They do have tables outdoor under a tent but I love the nostalgic vibe of the inside counter with the little stools. You can watch them fry up all the goodies. I was immediately greeted, sat and my beautiful bowl of chowder came. The service is endearing and though my first time dining in, they treated me like I was a regular and they do with everyone. Maybe that's why they have been around so long. Good food is great but service that makes you feel like you are a regular is top tier. As The clouds rolled in the thunder struck and as the rain poured down, I enjoyed my lovely bowl of New England clam chowder. They are heavy on the fresh clams and just right on the potatoes. They do have the red chowder and their Long Island version which is a mix of the 2. This just hit the spot all around and on a day like I was having today, filled my soul. I'll BE BAck for the good fried goodies next time. Thank you!

We were off to a good start. The wait staff was attentive and regularly checked on us to see if we needed anything. We were a party of 7 so I do not recall what everyone ordered, but I know everyone was very happy with what they ordered. I ordered the mussels in wine sauce and shared it with the others and everyone thought it was very good. There was also raw oysters from the North Shore that I thought were very good, but I am not a connoisseur of fine oysters like my cousin and mother. They both told me how great they thought the oysters were. I also had the grilled whole porgy and thought it was very nicely done with some blackening seasoning. All in all, was a great night with family I don't get to see often, and the staff and owner of Artie's deserve all the credit for for making it a great night. We ordered the New England clam chowder . Lacked flavor and I'll compare this to Jordan's which is nothing even close to it . It has less class then but just not something I'd order ever again. The mussels in white wine sauce smelled really fishing themselves , the sauce at the bottom was not that bad and the fresh bread bailed it out for sure . It was a weirdly fishy smell but edible . Got the scallop tar tar . Very fresh , cold with some onions, tomatoes and cucumbers with a side of bread and blobs of sriracha sauces . We ate it , and it was fresh but they didn't season it at all and sriracha should not be what flavors it for sure . Would not order that again either We ordered the pasta special with scallops , shrimp , and lumps crab. Good fresh in tomato cream sauce . Lacked flavor once again the chef needs to kno his flavors and or have a better eye for seasoning tings!!!! We also got the seafood fra diavolo spicy . I got the wrong dish just shrimp in tomatoe sauce, wrong dish was delivered, they did take the charge if the bill which was nice . But I was looking forward to trying the scallops and the rest of the seafood and waitress did apologize and said it was her fault but such an easy thing to listen to your customers and submit on your iPad. Another mention is the owner and head sever lady seemed to be arguing behind us about the cooks in the kitchen about not being ready and prepared. Which is unprofessional o w talk in front of customers . Also one thing I forgot to put in is that when we asked for hot water at the end they brought us brown water that was most likely boiled in a coffee pot . How do you not see that the water is brown ??? Like really any pot can boil Water . I really wanted to like this place since Jordan's burned and was closed wanted to the this place but the minute Jordan's is back and open I'm heading back over there for my fresh lobsters and dining .
