The eggs were cooked as requested, the hash was decent but could've used a bit more seasoning. Sourdough toast was a welcome item on the menu. The home fried taters were excellent. Service was---pretty slow, actually. Not rude, I want to make a note that our server was quite friendly, but from the amount of people in the restaurant vs the amount of employees, it did seem to take a very long time to get our food. Fantastic breakfast food, made fresh every day! Lunches are also available after 11am but they close at 1pm so don't dawdle. Small storefront dining area with a maritime vibe. Even the waitresses are in on it, they all dress in cute nautical-themed attire! Take your time here, there will be a wait but the food is absolutely worth it. We are from out of town and came here the last couple of mornings and food and service were amazing until today. We came in later with 2 tables available and the hostess could not be more rude. She wouldn't seat us and was so rude that we got up and left before we even started. It's sad that one bad egg can ruin a great restaurant and experience. read more

Wife and I came in from Orlando on a kid-free weekend and needed a cool spot for breakfast. Oh boy were we happy to find this place. Reminded us of our favorite local diner here by the house and just as busy. Had to sign a waiting list, but got seated relatively quick considering how many people were there. Very small place with close quarter dining, but didn't matter as everyone was aware and respectful and the servers navigated the terrain easily. Quick important note....they're cash only. I got one of the omelets and a pancake. Omelet was terrific and came with toast and home fries. Toast was....well, toast. Home fries weren't my personal favorite, I prefer a little crispy and not as spicy but probably my fault as I didn't specifically ask for that. Server was awesome and made my pancake with choc chips....mmmmm. Wife got something that can only be described as WOW. Some sort of French toast concoction that looked like it belonged in a much fancier place (see pic) Prices were fair, service was good and location was easy. All in all...we'll be back as it's only a 2.5hr drive from home and this place will be a must. read more

So we just spent 3 glorious weeks on AMI and of course we went straight to Minnie's Beach Cafe for breakfast almost every day (except Mondays they are closed). The absolute BEST breakfast ever. The portions are huge, the food is made exactly as you want it and everything is so fresh. I am a very picky eater and don't usually eat breakfast but I could t wait until Sunday morning to get up and get to Minnie's the owner Kathy and Staff are so sweet and loving. They remember you from previous years. They are really appreciative of their customers. Out of 6 years of going in July and 2 going in November you cannot beat this lovely diner. It's is Cash O my however if you run a small business your understand why. Credit card fees are out of this world for small Businesses. I cannot wait to go back hopefully in November. Have my French Toast ready ladies (and gentleman). For all of the posts complaining I think if you have any complaints about this place you will never be happy. I thought we would die here...everything took so long. We waited 10 minutes after we sat for someone to take our order. We waited 30 min for two omelettes and a pancake. The biscuit was so dry, and I had to wash it down with a sip of terrible coffee. The western omelette was good, and the pancake was good. But it wasn't worth the wait and the feeling that no one cared if you were there or not. Asked for two glasses of water that we never got. They only take cash only...it's 2023!!! read more

We went for a late weekday breakfast. There was no wait and the menu was quite straightforward. My family all had the eggs with toast and meat and I had the special eggs Benedict. The best part about this place was the waitress. Our waitress was a hoot and was on top of everything! The two waitresses wore the cutest sailor clothes too. The restaurant was small, but we only had to wait a couple minutes to get seated. There were tables for four, but there were 5 of us so we sat at the community table, which seats 7. We sat with two local ladies and chatted. Didn't care for the breakfast potatoes much, but everything else tasted great. Perfect stop for breakfast. "Where the local's gather" My first visit to Minnie's today was timed well, I stopped in mid-morning on a Wednesday and it wasn't crowded. Once seated my drink order was taken and filled with good coffee. I decided on a dish I often order, Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. My breakfast was very good with a generous amount of hash, some of which is under the toast in my photo. The skin on home fries were also good. The place is small, I counted 12 tables, and as mentioned in other reviews it is cash only. It has a nautical feel, mainly because of the round buoys along shelves near the ceiling. There are lots of great restaurants on the island. This isn't one of them. We waited over an hour for our food, only to find out the waitress never put our order in. During that hour, we finished our orange juice and asked for waters, but for some reason she only brought us one (about 25 minutes later). Meanwhile, our server joked with another table about taking drugs before work, which would actually explain the inattentive and disappointing service. I don't go out of my way to write bad reviews, but the servers and hostess were rude, and the food that never came didn't look particularly good either. Definitely find another spot. read more

After reading all the rraving reviews, I took a walk down the beach with my babyy in the carrier to experience breakfast at Minnie's Cafe. Upon my arrival, I was informed at the door that they do not accept cards, cash only. Due to the fact that we were on vacation, and I was by myself with the child at the time, I had no cash with me. We were directed to a gym nextt door where a convenidnt ATM machine allowed me to withdraw money for $3 charge. Tired and annoyed, I got back to finally exxperience the magical breakfast. To my surprize, the cafe is a simple old diner (could use some cleaning). It was not packed, but the tables are craammed too close to each other, creating a tense and uncomfortable intrusive feeling. It took a while for the order to arrive, and, yes, average diner food. I guess I might be disappointed because I expected more. But there was no warmth either. Maybe everybody who worked there had a bad day. I am not going to return. read more

The restaurant is small but the service is great and friendly. They have a variety of breakfast and lunch options. Their prices are very reasonable.
