We had dinner at Mint & Martini recently. The interior looks the same as the same as the previous restaurant in the location. We ordered Chicken Hakka Noodles, Chili Chicken, Goat Bhuna Masala, and Tandoori Roti. We ordered the Chicken Hakka Noodles and Chili Chicken on the recommendation of our server. Both dishes were okay. The Goat Bhuna masala too, was okay, we ordered spicy and our server confirmed with us that we wanted it spicy and both Chili Chicken and Goat Bhuna masala were not spicy. Tandoori roti was good. We finished with Gulab Jamun, which was good.

All the curries we ordered were sweet. Both the Malai Kofta and their "Special Methi Paneer" were the same and tasted more like a dessert. We requested them to be 4/5 spice but had no flavor The paneer tikka was spicier but still way too sweet. It was almost like they mixed barbecue sauce with this. We even ordered extra spicy. The Gobi Manchurian and Manchow soup were good, but for the prices you'd expect a bigger portion, especially for the Manchow Service and Ambiance were highlights, otherwise the food here is overall overpriced and underwhelming

Mint & Martini was a random stop while my partner and I were in Capitol Hill. I was absolutely stunned at how delicious everything was here. Butter chicken was creamy and well seasoned, only thing it was missing was spice despite me ordering a 3/5 spice level. My partner got some stir fry which was quite tasty, the naan was delicious, and the samosas were crispy on the outside and full of soft, well seasoned filling. I also had a well made cosmopolitan. The prices were reasonable and the service was good, but it was a bit of a wait for our food despite the restaurant not being busy. Ambiance is nice, it feels a bit more upscale than it lets on. Definitely will come back.

This new Indian restaurant (open only 5-days as of the end of May-2025) has tasty food and a friendly staff. Located where Bario used to be, the interior space is inviting, even if parking in the neighborhood can be a challenge. We got the kurkuri bhindi (fried okra) -- it was good, though I would have preferred Bhindi Masala, had they had it. The chicken tikka tandoori was tasty with high-quality chicken and oh-so tender. The vegetable samosas were pretty standard and quite good, though I wish they'd come with more tamarind sauce (these kinds of kinks are expected in early days). And we got an order of plain nan. I was hoping for some basmati rice (particularly with the chicken tikka), but turns out that's not part of that dish. Next time, I'll order rice separately. It's a new restaurant, and I recommend it. I'll note that the reviewer who gave them one-star was rather unkind for restaurant newly opened - rather than a bad review, it might have been more appropriate to raise the issue with the manager and get it resolved. I found the staff very responsive and helpful.

We went to Mint & Martini on Saturday evening. Their heating system was not working and it was very cold inside. Food was ok. Because of cold we didn't order much food. We ordered monchow soup , Kashmiri kofta and tandoori rotis. One thing I want to mention service was very very slow. We asked bowls for soup and by the bowls came soup was already cold.

We were really excited to try this place. The inside set up is the same as when it was the Mexican spot, with the little private wooden walled circle booths. The food was just ok overall. The naan was good and we liked the chai, but our entrees were just alright. The rice seemed like more basic rice vs. the basmati rice some spots serve (which my partner and I prefer too). My palak paneer had a lot of stem fibers in it too and was kinda chunkier pieces than I was used to of the palak and not as much paneer as I would have hoped for. My partner had similar concerns about his chicken tikka dish. The other so so thing for us was the service. Our server never spoke to or looked at me once and only spoke to my husband, which struck us as awkward, even when he indicated that I would answer a question or checked with me from being seated to paying. It wasn't a terrible experience but I've had been food and service elsewhere so I probably wouldn't go back unless I was in the area and really wanted Indian food. They do have lots of vegetarian options and there looked to be about 3 appetizers that could be made vegan.

New Indian place in Capitol Hill. Had lunch and since it just opened there weren't many other people. It's beautiful inside and so spacious! Great place for groups. I can imagine it being really busy at night once word gets out about this place. We lucked out with street parking right on 12th but there's also a public lot not far away too. Service was super attentive and they were great helping us with any questions. Items are on the pricier side but this is a really nice place. I just went with a friend and we had the Bread Basket, it's pretty big so we both only had a couple of pieces of naan and took home a stack. Naan is solid. Palaak Paneer, very good. Tandoori Chicken, smaller portion but excellent Hakka noodles with chicken, very good. And the Kurkuri Bhindi, deep fried okra. I'm not an okra fan but this was tasty. A lot of batter but that's what made it so good! Every dish was delicious. Dishes were spicy, I couldn't figure out which ones but even for someone who is not very spice tolerant I was able to handle it. We didn't say anything about spice level when we ordered so if you don't like spicy mention it when you order. We took home a lot of leftovers that will last me several days! Looking forward to going back.

I'm not sure what happened on my last visit as the curries were on the colder side. When you arrive parking can be a bit difficult, there is a small parking lot out front, if that's full you'll need to find street park. The restaurant itself feels warm, casual, and bustling. Queen you walk in you have the option to sit on the backyard patio or in the dining room. We opted to sit in the dining room as it just felt more intimate and the vibe we were wanting for dinner. For our appetizer, we started with the Samosas (Two crispy pastries filled with your choice of freshly mixed vegetables or delicately spiced lean ground beef) which were excellent. Next we ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken. The naan and samosas showed up piping hot but the chicken tikka masala & butter chicken were cold. I probably should have said something as I was disappointed but was too hungry to care at that moment. If I'm in the Seattle area I may stop by Taste of India again.

We were really hungry and decided to join them as I've had this spot saved too as the reviews were pretty positive. They were definitely very popular but we were put on the waitlist but I think it would be helpful if they took peoples' numbers as apparently they would just shout it outside. We weren't aware as we went somewhere else to wait as it was very cold. When we arrived, a different employee started cleaning a table for us and we waited but then the employee who did put us down was frustrated with us as he called us and no one of us answered cause we were elsewhere. We weren't sure if we had a spot after that but luckily the employee who was cleaning was done and offered that spot. They also did drop a glass cup after cleaning nearby which was concerning but they did clean it up right away. Once we were seated, it took almost a half an hour to get some to take our order. Luckily we did get our water refilled decently but there were a few times where our empty glasses were seen and ignored. I definitely think there should be staff training as it was non-existent. I understand being busy but you're across the convention center so it should be expected. The music was also so low I didn't know it was even on, they have a loud fan going on and even their TVs have no volume. It's a pretty awkward ambiance, especially with how they try to look like they are a upscale restaurant. It did take some time to get food and it seems like the kitchen was frustrated too as I heard the bell signaling food being ready several times. The food was actually good, especially for the price. The portions are generous. We never had paratha but our friend recommended it so we got the aloo paratha while my boyfriend got their butter masala and I got their tikka masala extra hot. It wasn't really spicy at all, definitely nothing like what I've had at other Indian restaurants. The curries were flavorful with good pieces of chicken. We might return if we need something nearby but there are definitely better options that I would walk for.

But Indian-Nepali Kitchen is one of Seattle's most sought-after spots for affordable eats. But don't sleep on the rest of INK's broad menu of South Asian fare -- The Infatuation magazine even considers it to be one of the best restaurants in the city, full stop. INK shares a strip mall with a bodega and nail salon. Black cushioned chairs are pressed up to lacquered wood tables, and the tan walls are decorated with an assortment of cultural tchotchkes. Bollywood music videos play on the main dining room's single flatscreen, while images of Nepali mountain ranges flash on the screen in the accessory dining room. My partner and I dined at INK for weekday dinner on our drive up to the North Cascades, and we had the dining room to ourselves. Only a handful of takeout patrons rolled through during our visit. We kicked off our meal with the Mixed Appetizer. The Vegetable Pakora component was a consensus hit. The rich, crispy bites functioned well on their own and were fun conduits for the fragrant mint sauce and the tart tamarind sauce. In comparison, the samosas were forgettable, sporting overwhelmingly thick shells and hit-or-miss fillings. Of the three varieties, only the earthy ground lamb was worth finishing. Next, we tried the Combo Momo platter. Admittedly, the signature momos were surprisingly mediocre. Across the varieties, the wonton-like Fried Momo was the clear winner with its exciting texture without overpowering the delicate filling flavor. Meanwhile, the standard steamed momos tasted like something out of the frozen section, the Chili Momos were dominated by fast-food-quality sweet-and-sour sauce, and the Sandheko Momos had an unassuming, generally savory curry flavor (which was far outdone by the tangy side of house chutney). For our entree, we were very impressed by the Butter Curry Lamb. The thick curry broth was vibrant and dynamic; we sipped it by the spoonful. The tough lamb felt like an afterthought. The Garlic Basil Bread wasn't particularly basil-y, but the naan slices were pillowy, flaky, and addictively buttery. To drink, we shared an Iced Chai. The tea was more spiced than sweet; the average Starbucks patron might turn their nose up to it, but the light drink was a welcome contrast to the dense entrees. For dessert, we opted for the Gulab Jamun: the ping pong-sized cheese balls were deceptively dense, each packing a rich, syrupy punch. The service was quick and efficient, and our bill worked out to about $75 (after tax and tip). The flavors topped out at very good, but never quite achieved greatness. The portions were generous -- we probably could have done without the momos and still had a satisfyingly hearty meal. For a no-frills meal that will, at a minimum, be tasty, INK is a safe bet.
