As a jeweler, they should know scratch tests are not meant for higher carat gold but a xrf or pmi gun. I advised what I needed, she sized then said "I'll get you the cost." I explained what had happened and that we were advised no charge, but we would wait to see what it would be. She came back and said, Because these are 18ct and we don't see much of this, it will be $250.00 per ring. Not horrible, but way more than it cost to have gold added for the size up. I advised we have a receipt saying no charge for resizing. She said, "That would be very unusual." She made some other rude comments making it clear she believed we were lying. I said, That's fine. we'll go home and get the receipt. She then said "My husband's an lawyer, and documentation is everything. I said, Yes, it is and left. The woman was rude, unprofessional and passive aggressive. No way she should be a manager at such a nice business. Clearly, we were not the only individuals treated poorly today.

Two ladies behind the main counter were bulljiving about something they were looking at on their phones. A guy gave the canned welcome spiel, from behind the same counterl with "Can i help you with anything today?" I pointed towards the guitars and said, "yes, i'm looking for a guitar". By the time i walked over to the counter he had disappeared to the back. I asked "where did he go?' and the women completely ignored me. I could see another guy in the doorway to the back room, on his phone. None of them were wearing masks. I looked at the guitars for a long time, glancing over at the women and trying to make it clear i needed help. I saw several guitars i liked but they were too far away to read most prices. The ones i could see were overpriced for what they were. I walked over to a different section of guitars. Held my hands up, and even said out loud, "I guess nobody wants to sell me a guitar today." I didn't want to interrupt the women by asking them to do their job. I left, never going back.
