Whenever they have problems with their teeth whether it be from falling after playing too rough. or something as simple as teeth falling out naturally, I take them here and they always have the best advice on how to properly take care of them and the next steps. I am a little torn about this place. I originally tried to schedule at the Pearland location, but they weren't taking new patients. I hear all the commercials and hear great things so I went ahead and scheduled here. Parking is not great here for starters. Customer service at the front desk could use a little help. They had me fill out paper work and upon turning it in, they asked me to now do it on an iPad. The same exact stuff I just filled out. To me it seemed like a way to keep me busy as they were running behind. Customer service in the back was great. Everything was explained thoroughly and it seemed to flow without alot of wasted time. They have TVs in each room which makes the time go by. They give you shades so the lights don't bother your eyes. Upon leaving you get a nice little goodie bag which includes a teeth whitening kit. You don't get that at other places. The dentist recommended a deep cleaning which I knew I needed. Before doing so, they come and give you some local anesthetics to make it a more pleasant experience. It was during this time they people at the front came and asked for my copay. They took my card and did not return it right away. I was without my card for a good hour and a half atleast. I felt a little uneasy about that at the moment but did not say anything. On the way out they give you a summary and return your card. The next morning I get a notification from the bank about fraudulent activity. There could have been any number of ways this could have happened, but the timing was weird. They should return your card right away to put the customer at ease. Would I come back to Mint? Not likely to this location. Overall I did like the visit and cleaning and could see myself going to another location. read more

Note: I have used 3 dentists in Texas for 2 decades and I only came here because my current dentist (of 10 years) is 'apparently' out of network with my new insurance. My goal was to see how my teeth and gums are since it has been 1 year. So this review is just a honest review of how I felt. I will start off by saying Dr. Belgrave and the staff are professional, respectful, and nice. But my overall experience felt different than my current dentist and I will never return back. Because I'm new, they did the typical xrays and oral evaluation. Dr. Belgrave came in and said all kinds of stuff that made me very suspicious. Pointed to existing tooth fillings on my xrays (and in my mouth) saying that they need new fillings. Said I will need to redo an existing root canal but on the list of needed treatments, there were 2 root canals I needed. Now i've had watches on some teeth in the past and I asked her about if any could be a potential watch. And she said maybe one could be a watch but not the others. Also, my gums have a history of bleeding so I thought I could continue my perio maintenance but they require a deep scaling/cleaning. The list I was given had no perio maintenance cleaning. All what she said didn't feel 100% right to me so I set up an appointment with my dentist to get another opinion. And guess what??!! My dentist did find 1 cavity but not where Dr Belgrave did. I also don't need any root canals, deep cleaning, or the 3 fillings Dr Belgrave had mentioned. I only need to maintain my perio maintenance cleanings. So you see how Dr Belgrave & Mint Dentistry are FULL OF SHIT!!! Mint dentistry should be shut down. Greedy idiots! I can't stand any business that deliberately lies to take money for people. Makes sense why I saw a different patient entering in every 10 minutes. Ridiculous! My 2 cents is to run and get another opinion before they take unnecessary money from you! It's been a week since my visit and here's my experience: After years of being at the family dentist I decided to give Mint Dentistry a try. I mean after all they are like every other commercial on Majic 102, 979 The Box, 95.7 The Beat, and etc not to mention the Billoards. So I felt obligated to go! Did I forget to mention they will give you whiten your teeth! Gasp! (Yes a cleaning and whitening are two different things) I went to the OST Location, everyone was so professional and nice. They offer snacks before cleaning- which I thought would make the dental Hygienists work harder, right? But they insisted and I was hungry lol. Besides the office manager, I met Jazmin who did my X-rays and the molding for my teeth whitener kit. She's super nice and laughed at my jokes. She was really patient as I tried to find a show that was appropriate enough. FYI Claws ain't it. Next I had my dental exam with Dr. Abraham(I think this is his name). He answered all of my concerns and questions. Allison was my dental hygienist who did my teeth cleaning. I really enjoyed how everyone introduced themselves were I heard their name or not it was done. The teeth whitening kit instructions are super easy but not easy where a caveman can do it b/c I'm sure I've messed up. But it's all trial and error at this point. read more

They told me I had to get xrays every time I come in every 6 months. The ADA guidelines is every year if you have a disease being monitored. I am healthy with no disease so i should be able to go longer.When I declined the xray service they refused to allow me to have a dental exam with the Dentist. They did my cleaning with attittude, spraying me all over my face. When I told the front desk, that girl had attitude and no apology for the poor customer service. I will never go back to this dentist. MY ADVISE IS RUN! You dont want to go to a dentist that puts making money over your health. Also, if you do go there i would not recommend their night guard. Worst dental experience of my life, waited an hour and a half before seeing dentist, than he recommended a deep cleaning, which of course is much more expensive than the standard clearing. I said no thank you I would just like a regular cleaning, they LIED! and said my insurance would only cover a deep cleaning if that is what they recommended, and of course they recommended it. I said that is not true, I have had the same insurance for years, other dentist have suggested a deep cleaning in the past and I have opted not to have one and they have done a standard cleaning. These scammers tried to force me to get a deep cleaning. I called my insurance afterward and they confirm that MINT DENTAL HAD LIED TO ME!, don't go here unless you want to be lied to, to pressure you to do a deep cleaning! They run so many commercials because they have to constantly refresh their customer base, those that have been there never come back! UPDATE: I saw the response from Mint, they are obfuscating the issue, I contacted my insurance company they clearly and emphatically stated I can choose my own treatment and they will pay the standard reimbursement they DO NOT! require me to get a deep cleaning if I do not want one, this was a LIE told me by MINT to force me to buy a more expensive service. In addition I went to another dentist the next day! and they did a standard cleaning at no cost because it was covered by insurance and they DIDN'T even recommend a deep cleaning. MINT "recommended" a deep cleaning when if I needed one was questionable at best and than used that recommendation to try and force me to get a deep cleaning using a LIE as the premise! read more

All the radio advertisements finally worked, and I decided to give Mint a try. Pro's: Friendly staff, thorough dental hygienist, free whitening kit, online booking Cons: X-rays not shown, some details are forgotten, little privacy, excessive appointment reminders Details: The experience was great. The front desk staff is super friendly and welcoming. the lady who took my x-rays welcomed me and explained how things worked since it was my first time. I was offered water, a Blanket, Netflix and headphones. I opted to just listen to music which they played on the tv in the room. Impressions were taken for my free whitening kit which I was told would be ready for me when my cleaning was finished and she said she would be back with my water. The doctor came in to review the x-rays and I was told I had no cavities. Yay. However, that is all that was mentioned. I thought the x-rays would be put on the tv screen right in front of me so I could see (like every other modern dentist) but they were not. Every other dentist has also mentioned something that shows up on my bottom jaw in X-rays but she did not say anything which makes me believe she either did not notice, or did not think it was a big deal. (it is) The dental hygienist came and cleaned my teeth. She had a very delicate touch, but she did a great job. The office seems to have a very open floor plan. when walking the halls you can clearly see everyone in the chairs being worked on. not much privacy, they should consider adding some curtains. there was one sink in the hall to rinse and spit in, instead of one in each room. I never got the water, and my teeth trays were not done when it was time to check out. in fact they had not been started yet. The girl who was supposed to do them went home. I heard her ask someone else to do them before she left but I guess someone dropped the ball. I had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the trays to be done, no big deal. Overall I had a wonderful experience. While I wouldn't let them do any real work on my mouth (like pulling teeth, root canals, or cavities) I will definitely be coming back for regular teeth cleanings. Oh, one last thing. I LOVE how easy it is to book appointments online without having to call. However, they could cut down a bit on the reminders. I booked my appointment 2 days before I went in. In those 2 days, I received 5 emails and 3 text messages reminding me of the appointment and how I would be charged if I didn't show up. I appreciate reminders, but this was a bit much. read more

This place may be fine if you just need a simple cleaning, however if you need any kind of procedure, do NOT go here! I went back in May 2023, and they informed me I needed 10 fillings. I went in to get 3 filled at once, and they scheduled me too close to closing, so when it was 5:30, they were rushing to finish. I told the dr my bite was off, and she said me I was just numb and it was fine. When I went home, I still couldn't bite down, so I called at 8am the next day. They couldn't fit me in that day, so I had to go two days later for them to fix it. I couldn't eat for 2 days. When they "fixed" it, they just shaved down all my teeth without testing my bite on the bite paper to align them properly. Because of this, I never returned for the other 7 fillings I was supposed to get. For the last 8 months, I haven't been able to eat properly on the left side of my mouth. Today I went to a different dentist who took one look at my fillings and were disgusted by the job done at mint. They said that my teeth were very bruised from my biting down improperly for the last 8 months. I also only had 1 new filling that needed to be done after my appt today at the new dentist. So, I'm not sure what happened to the other 6 fillings they were trying to scam out of me. If they tell you you need some crazy procedures here, consider getting a 2nd opinion!!! read more

I am officially breaking up with my dentist... MD is my new denist at this point... This location is located in small busy shopping strip... parking is tight... Upon entering the office is small but very comfortable... Check in was fast and done via a tablet... Everyone was nice and very welcoming... Tameka was the first person I saw which she completed my x- rays... She was nice as well and very informative about MD process... She informed me as well that the chair had a massage component and asked me if I would like to have it on... Love the chair and the other amenities that where offered... The hygienist was good light with her touch but effective... Teeth whitening tray are ready before your visit is over... You get one syringe with your trays... The office is very modern and current with technology... I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend MD!!! read more

Incredibly slow service. Came for initial teeth cleaning and was there for approximately 3 hours. Came again for a filling and sat in the waiting area for 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Customer service is great and so are the benefits of this office but time is precious to your customers. No one wants to be stuck in your office for hours for short procedures Update: a couple weeks after a filling done at mint and i have an infected tooth. Called the office Tuesday complaining of a swollen face and pain to my maxillary area. Was told they didn't have any openings until next week. Went to an emergency dentist and was told i had an infected tooth that had effected the entire side of my face and needed a root canal ASAP. Called mint (because I'd prefer all my work to be done at my regular dentist) and once again, no appts available for a week later even tho i was flexible to go to other locations. Had to get the work done at the emergency dentist. I understand mint is popular, but never gone to a dentist that doesn't make space for emergency appointments. read more

I went to have work done which was fine... however I was scarred by the pressure the dental assistant put on my by leaning on the suction tube . So now my smile has a scar that will be with me for a while. I have made several attempts to get this rectified but here a month later nothing has been done. After hearing a million ad's about Mint Denistry on the radio & finally getting PPO dental insurance, I decided to give them a try. As soon as I walked into the cute boutique office, I was greeted by two friendly faces who immediately checked me in and offered snacks and drinks while waiting (which wasn't long at all). After doing the usual x-rays by a super friendly dental assistant, I was moved to a room with a massage chair and was offered Beat headphones to watch a Netflix movie or listen to music while the dentist did her thing. AMAZING!! Overall, I had an AMAZING experience and will make Mint Denistry my permanent dentist office. Btw, they have programs to help with the costs of your dental needs so be sure to ask about that. It's called the Smile More Club! Also, the free teeth whitneining is REAL. It was my first appointment and I'm very critical where I go to for my teeth. Customer service was phenomenal as soon as I came in everyone was happy, smiling and great attitude. My appointment started on time filled out my paperwork and the young ladies in the front got me in the back as soon as possible. I was able to catch up on my Netflix shows, they did my impression for the whitening trays and I relaxed as time flew by until I was seen. Newer to Houston and heard the radio ad for mint dentistry on the radio! I was due for a cleaning and the amenities they offer initially is why I chose them over others in the area. I was impressed at the luxurious atmosphere of the office! iPads to fill out your paperwork, as well an iPad for your personal use, beats headphones, and massage chairs made it easy to relax and feel comfortable! The customer service was VERY on point, and I truly felt my business was appreciated. Lashawnda was one of my favorites on the team, her energy had me smiling and feeling welcomed. The doctor provided some great advice for me to improve some of my concerns with my smile. Before today I have always been insecure about my smile and thought there would be no hope for me but to just get veneers. She showed me some suggestions that could enhance my smile and my natural teeth and I left today feeling very hopeful and a change of mind about the veneers. I loved that she was not just eager to make a sale on the veneers but her interest was more in what would be the best for me. Mimi was my hygienist and did a great job. My teeth feel amazing super clean. My only complaint would be the waiting time today. I came in 20 mins early to fill out paper work. On the west coast, punctuality is very important. My appointment was for 12 and we didn't get started until 1:10. However, the customer service and genuine apologies did make up for this. They acknowledged that this wasn't okay and I truly felt that they made every effort they could to get me taken care of ASAP. I notice being late or appointments running behind tends to be a trend here in the south, but I have never received a more professional and apologetic approach from other business I have gone to. Came to MINT dentistry to redeem free whitening special they are offering patients with PPO insurance. The folks sitting at front desk are very courteous and make a concerted effort to make sure everyone is comfortable while they wait. Linda and Tish helped me with my whitening trays and they were very helpful and fast. Going to the dentist isn't the most enjoyable, but MINT does what they can to mitigate that discomfort. This place is definitely not bad, but there were a few things that were wrong during my first experience. 3 stars only because the cons weigh heavily when people are not trying to spend most of their day at the dentist office. To start, making an appointment over the phone was quite simple. The people that I talked to on the phone were very nice and cheerful and answered all of my questions. I was able to get an appointment at this location right away (less than 24 hours from when I called)! There were some issues with processing my insurance, but they kept me in the loop and handled things very quickly. When I got to this location, sign in was quick and simple. The waiting area was quite small and full, but the location is a small location in general (I almost drove right by it!). The staff and the dentist were all super nice and friendly. They made me feel super comfortable and relaxed throughout my entire visit. They also thoroughly explained every little thing they were going to do before they actually took action, which helped me. The seat was comfortable and it gave you a massage while you waited. They also had Netflix, Hulu, and Pandora for every individual while they waited for their procedure. That was very nice! I was sent home with a free at-home customized teeth whitening kit (it was apart of a promotion). Nice touch! Cons: I didn't get seen until an hour after my scheduled appointment time. Also, they mentioned that the teeth whitening kit would be ready by time your appointment was over. That was not true in my case. I ended up waiting an extra 15 minutes for the kit. At this point, I almost just left it there because I had already waited an hour just to get seen. Lastly (and this is a small con) but they didn't have any individual sinks in the rooms to use for rinsing out the mouth. Every time they wanted you to rinse, you had to get up and go to the one sink in the hallway. Compared to other dentist offices, that was inconvenient and unsanitary in my opinion. OVERALL, I will definitely be returning and I would recommend MD to my friends. Hopefully they are not running behind all the time. Maybe going to a different location will solve this? Or maybe setting up an appointment for a time earlier than 1pm? I don't know. But I do not think that you will find a staff that will make you feel any more comfortable at any dentist office other than Mint Dentistry. That alone made it a good experience. read more

Since my last dentist office broke up with me I decided to come here. I was totally wowed by the services they offer to make your visit relaxed and comfortable. The chair you sit in during your service has an automatic massager on it, they offer you an IPad to use during your visit as well as beat headphones, they ask if you want to watch a movie or listen to Pandora on the TV in your room I mean I was totally wowed! The service was fantastic, my only complaint was they moved slow at the beginning. Took 40 mins before I was actually serviced. Other than that definitely give them a try! read more
