My favorite Indian food restaurant in the area. Hands down. The Tikka Masala is the best. Don't go spicy, just get it mild or ask for none at all. The flavors are killer, especially once you start pushing it around your plate with some of the freshest garlic naan you'll ever eat. Their buffet is so generous with a variety of refreshments, dishes, and desert and chai to top it off. The butter chicken is delicious. I always order it mild since I can't handle a lot of heat. We also ordered palak paneer, chicken tikka marsala, chicken korman, lamb Karachi, biryani rice, garlic naan, aloo kulcha and fish Karahi. I do not live in the area but I was craving Indian food. So I yelped some good Indian places and Mint was the first restaurant that popped up. The chicken tikka masala was my favorite dish. The waiter asks you what spicy level you want it at: mild, medium, or spicy. I got it at a medium and it was plenty spicy. The chicken was very tender and flavorful and the sauce had a nice creamy/tomato taste to it. (The naan dipped in the sauce is amazing!!) The Channa masala was the other curry I ordered. I got this at a medium spice level as well, but it tasted A LOT spicier than the chicken tikka masala. (In a good way. I love spicy foods!!) This is the perfect dish to pair with a chicken dish. They balanced each other well. The garlic naan is the last thing I ordered. I actually ended up ordering 2!! This is the perfect dish to dip in the curry sauces. It had an awesome flavor and the garlic wasn't too overpowering. If I'm ever in the area I would definitely make a special trip to come back! Tip- they have a lunch special where they open up a buffet for a special price. I came at dinner so my family and I ordered a few dishes and split it amongst ourselves. Mint is a really great find for authentic Indian / Pakistani food. Our son and daughter in law found this and suggested trying it when they were visiting from Northern California. We were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. We ordered a variety of dishes and were satisfied with all of it, especially the chicken tikka masala and the pollock paneer (sp?). Don't let the space fool you, the interior isn't the Ritz, it's pretty basic but once you taste the food you won't care about the decore. To me, it always adds validation to an ethnic restaurant when you see lots of people of that ethnicity eating there and there were. I'm a relative newcomer to Indian / Pakistani food but after eating at Mint we are sure going to go back regularly. If you find yourself in South Orange County and wanting good food, give Mint a try. What a gem hiding behind those "Mint" doors! Few month back my GF asked me for an Indian food,so I stopped by to get my order to go and from that day on it is our must to go place now.
