Only great things to say for this restaurant! Cozy ambience and modern design inside. The staff were very friendly and the food came out at a decent pace. The sushi is SO good. It is on the pricier side so you need to go in expecting about $16-18 per roll but they are so worth it if that's in the budget! The Pandora and Double Shrimp roll were incredible! They brought out a tiramisu dish for a friend's birthday on the house which was so kind and delicious! Plan to go back soon!

Been a while but back again for a great experience, great staff (Sloane), friendly, offering explanations and recommendations. All of the food was delicious, Wagyu tender with nicely seasoned sauce cooked perfectly. A couple rolls both excellent, (don't order salmon these days because 99% is farm raised), shrimp was ok, but not a fan of small shrimp, prefer colossal aka prawns. No way of telling they are farm raised. Ended off with Sweet Potato ice cream, excellent!

Honestly shame on you Mint. We've had enjoyable meals in person and the sushi is usually pretty good but this $84 take out order is insulting. No ginger, no wasabi, no utensils, no rice, not even napkins. Two little boxes... this is what $84 will get you from Mint. Just sad.

It's been a year since we last came to mint! The service was very poor and disappointing! BUT this visit was awesome- our party of 13 was quickly seated and offering if any drink orders. Our wait for good was pretty short in comparison to our last visit and our party size and on a Saturday night! Our server was awesome - took our orders and serve red our table really efficiently- filling drinks & serving food. The food was outstanding - the sushi was fresh and creative. I ordered the Kama which was cooked to perfection and served on a bed of mix greens ! Best I've had in a very long time! From the sushi to the edamame was excellent. We'll be back to try more of the menu and their great service. Great improvement of their service!

We have visited other Mint locations, but most recently, went to check out this newer Holladay location and it had great ambience, food, and service!!! Nestled into a little plaza with other stores and plenty of parking in the back. I ordered multiple small plates and loved them all! The wagyu on crostini and sexy shrimp were delicious! The dragon fruit Mocktail was tasty! We also had some ube ice cream that was an absolute dream!!! Selena was our waitress and she was extremely attentive and helpful with recommendations!!! We really enjoyed our first visit to this location and will definitely be back!!!

We did a 10 course tasting which was so fun! We enjoyed most of the courses and others were so so. The employees were nice and brought out each dish quickly. The plating of each dish was exceptional. This 10 course tasting was so fun! I wish one of the courses was a sushi roll though. I'll have to come back to try the sushi.

Ended up coming again for the tasting menu and it was delicious! We ended up having an emergency and had to leave half way through. But what we did have was so good! Went today by myself a bit last minute they were close to the lunch closing time but my waitress was so friendly & told me to take my time & wasn't rushing me at all. Service was excellent & the food was great . Today i got the lamb chop lollipop & the grilled scallops

My respect; what a great evening I had. The whole experience was amazing, good job guys. Food was excellent. Sushi; can be a little be.... Improve; but the tapas? Oh my... pork belly; to die for!! Cool atmosphere, just be careful with the iron rod by the bar section; I hit it like 3 times jjajaja. Bar tender 5stars!

We decided to try Mint Tapas for lunch after hearing great things about it! The ambiance is modern but warm and inviting. The Gyoza was amazing the sauce paired perfectly with the gyoza. It was hands down my favorite on the tapas section. The wagyu crostini was okay. The bread was toasted perfectly & the beef was tender. The onion and carrot pickled on top was not my favorite but my fiancé absolutely loved it. The tempura was good and cut very uniform. Each vegetable was coated well & delicious. It was a little on the oiler side but still good. The Celeste roll was delicious, tangy, citrusy, and very flavorful. The lemon ontop added a layer to the roll that elevated it. The Apollo roll was not my favorite and I really wanted to like it. The ingredients inside were delicious however the fish layered on top wasn't my favorite. The texture and taste of the fish ontop did not go well with the roll and I will not be ordering this next time. The Wagyu lunch special was great! The wagyu combined with the eel sauce was tender, flavorful, well balanced, and delicious. Overall I recommend trying this restaurant. The service was good. The food was great. The vibe was modern but still welcoming. There is something for everyone and I really liked that they offer a good range of options. Their lunch specials are the perfect portion. The gyoza is hands down a must try from their tapas list. I really liked the experience of having an additional tapas menu to choose from as it gives you more options to try different things without committing to a full entree portion. Excited to return and try different things next time!

Sexy Shrimp. Best dish here. So delicious!

I have been to Mint about 4 times now. Every time it's been great. The ambiance is amazing and chill. Tonight (Thursday) they had love music, but it wasn't loud and it was very low key/calming music. The service was good, one our dishes took a tad long to come out, but it wasn't too bad. The food is delicious. I had the Aurora roll, the gyoza, and the sexy shrimp. The sexy shrimp is hands down my favorite thing here. It's delicious. The aurora roll was also very very good. Even though it has jalapeños, it really wasn't spicy. The gyoza were good, not the best I've had, but decent. My friend got the crunchy tuna and said it was amazing. I highly recommend this place!

Cute sushi bar with modern decor inside located in the brick building downtown area in Holladay. Server was friendly and knowledgeable. Today I tried the Maki combo of three which has a lot of options and I chose the 6 piece Yellowtail, 6 piece Salmon, and 6 piece Tuna. All three rolls were good as well as the wasabi and ginger. Overall fair prices and good sushi. There are a lot of fun looking rolls on the menu including tempura and eel so I would come back to try those. Saw people there for lunch but also looks like a cute date spot. There was a whole other page of the menu as well I think it included appetizers so another reason to come back again :)

This place covers all their bases. They have a great location. Great ambiance. Great staff and great food. I have no complaints. First of all parking is around back. It's free is safe and it's a parking lot. You walk a very short nice walk to the front that is beautiful because the area of town is super nice. Arriving they ask if we want to sit inside or outside. We chose outside along with everyone else. The weather was perfect and not too sunny. If it were they have covers and umbrellas. Either indoor or outdoor is pleasing aesthetically. Next the server and ordering. Lots of cool drinks and yummy appetizers. They are a QR code for a digital menu but our waiter went above and asked if we wanted hard copies. Say what?!? I usually have to beg for a hard copy. Next we ordered a ton of food. A couple appetizers. I recommend the veggies and shrimp tempura. Comes with lots of veggies and only 2 shrimp. They have an only shrimp option for less money but I'm not sure how many shrimp you get. Then we ordered a ton of rolls. They were all delicious. They only have one fried roll which I loved and it was by far the best fried roll I've ever had. And then we had a couple of the raw rolls which were both amazing too. We got a spicier one which wasn't spicy at all to me cause it had a sweet glaze on it. I literally licked the plate. Dessert. We were told about this amazing purple ice cream. We said no and decided to pass. Our waiter wouldn't have it. He was so amazing and told us it's so good he got it for us on him. That's how good the food is even the waiters are excited about. It. Go here. Go here now.

I feel like the hostess must have unexpectedly been out because the folks managing seating and reservations seemed a little lost. This was our first time here and I was pretty concerned about what the rest of our experience would be. We got to our table and then sat there for 10 minutes without any kind of greeting. Following the disorganization of getting seated, we weren't sure what was happening and almost left. I'm so glad we stayed. Once our server greeted us, it was smooth the rest of the evening. We ordered drinks (Old Fashioned and wine), both were excellent. Someone brought delicious soft rolls with olive oil and balsamic vinegar-excellent. We stuck with tapas and the portions were bigger than expected. We had a whole lineup of items we wanted, but filled up after three. We ordered a charcuterie plate that was an off menu special. Iberico and a truffle manchego cheese and a rosemary manchego cheese served with toasted baguette and grapes. It was delicious! We also ordered the Gambas Al ajillo salsa Roja (shrimp in a red sauce) and the Pulpo à la gallega (octopus). The shrimp were incredible. I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon. Okay, I DID eat the sauce with a spoon and then asked for more bread to sop it up. The octopus was a surprise. My husband ordered it and I was prepared to try a small bite. It was fantastic. The octopus was nicely chewy without being rubbery at all. And it was served with potatoes in a thin sauce that tasted like olive oil and paprika and onion. So good. We looked at the desserts and my heart said yes while my full stomach said no. I almost ordered the crème brûlée cake to go, but decided to come back another day. Our server (Zack) was great! I really think something happened with the hostess because the rest of the evening was so smooth. Very interesting interior. We sat at a small cafe table that felt strangely intimate despite how crowded it was. We'll be back!

Came in for dinner with a party of four and had a great experience overall. We ordered the crispy fried calamari, pork gyozas, and five rolls: the Tsunami, the Spicy Masa, the Vegas, the Jenny, and the Cobacabana. My favorite by a good margin was the Spicy Masa. The habanero sauce is spicy-delicious, with real heat but enough flavor that you keep going back for another bite. The Vegas and Tsunami rolls are crowd-pleasers, and the pork gyozas are a solid starter to share. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, no complaints there. The atmosphere is where I'd push them to level up. The decor is simple and modern, which is fine, but it doesn't create much of a mood, and the dining room gets loud fast. If you're hoping for a quiet, intimate dinner, this probably isn't the spot. For a casual night out with friends or family, though, the energy works. One tip: get a reservation, especially on weekends. Walk-ins can be rough. We skipped drinks and dessert and still landed at around $165, so it's not a cheap night out, but the quality justified the price.

Found this place and ordered miso soup, salad, sashimi, and two rolls. Everything tasted fine, the service was fine, and I left. Not even halfway to the hotel, which was 20 minutes away, my head started pounding and my stomach was turning. I thought I was catching a cold, maybe being under dressed for the weather (even though had layered up). I barely made it to the parking lot and basically vomited my dinner. I then spent the next hour in the bathroom, after which I felt relieved, so in a way I was glad that I wasn't getting sick. I figured it had to be the food and after I felt better I decided to call Mint to at least let them know that maybe something was in the food so at least they might prevent this for someone else. The manager apologized for my experience and that was it. I think it was either something in the food or had remembered earlier at the dinner all the employees were in the kitchen and I guess one of the sushi chef's just adopted a dog. Everyone was saying how cute it was and petting it, which I thought nothing of at the time other than it being cute. Then because of my experience, I don't really recall that chef, who was the one serving me, ever really leaving my sight or washing his hands. Just speculation of course but hey I got food poisoning from something. And anyone that knows me, knows that I always wash my hands before a meal, especially if I've been in the field working that day. I thought of posting here, but whatever it was over with and I'm busy. The next day, I got a voicemail letting me know that they felt bad for my experience and would compliment the dinner. I thought that was a nice gesture so I returned the message and left a voicemail of my own. No response, and I tried two more times over the next week. So here we are two weeks after and I'm thinking of sharing the story or not. Maybe they thought I was grifting for a free dinner and changed their mind, so that's why they didn't call me back? Maybe no one else got sick and there was no way to prove my story other than my word. Maybe they thought because I saw the dog, I would use that as an opportunity to eat for free? I never asked for my meal to get comped, I just wanted the establishment to know so they could prevent it from happening to someone else. Again, wasn't planning on sharing this on Yelp, but this happened two weeks ago and I feel that if I didn't share my experience it would be like a tree falling in a forest, does it even make a sound or did it really happen? Yes this actually happened to me so I'm letting management know that I'm not some anonymous guy that was trying to victimize myself for a free meal.

We parked in the lot by Barnes & Noble and walked over. The interior of the restaurant was super cute, and I loved the tall ceiling. There was plenty of seating and I liked the open kitchen. I've always enjoyed watching kitchen staff work their magic while preparing our dishes. We were greeted and seated promptly. I already had an idea of what I wanted to order, and so did my husband. We were here strictly for the ramen, but there are also rice bowls and sushi if ramen isn't your thing. I went with the mega pork ramen and added black garlic oil, while my husband went with the tan tan men. While we waited, we watched as several other parties also arrived for a late dinner. Even though there was only one server, she was quite efficient. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive, and we were eager to dig in. We asked for chili powder on the side, which our server was a little confused about, but finally understood and brought us some in a little dish. I was a little surprised they didn't have the powder at each table like at other ramen restaurants I've been to. I immediately noticed the layer of oil (not the black garlic oil, the red oil) on top of both of our ramen. It was thicker than I would have liked, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and mixed it in with the rest of the broth. The flavor of the broth was fine. It was decent if this was your first experience with ramen, but as someone who has had plenty of top tier ramen spots in the Bay Area and Sacramento, the broth wasn't memorable. Honestly, the layer of oil was also what threw the balance off. The noodles were bouncy and chewy, and the meat was tender. My favorite cut was the pulled pork chashu. The egg was yolky but not as seasoned as a proper ajitama should have been. My husband had similar remarks about his tan tan men, but at least we agreed that both of our bowls, while not spectacular, were consistent and cohesive as dishes. Ramen Legend, to us, seemed like the kind of spot that attracts patrons due to its centralized location, but it was definitely not the best ramen I've had.
