This may be the best all-you-can-eat sushi place I've ever visited! Every sushi roll we ordered was incredibly delicious. I have literally no criticism about any of them. My favorite was probably the Sweetheart roll, but I would order any of them again. The buffet was also better than I expected. There are a couple rows of food for non-seafood-lovers, including prime beef, fried rice, noodles, chicken dishes, potstickers, and more, although menu online doesn't list those items. The buffet seafood and sushi is also very good--I recommend the sushi sandwich. The service was fine. The trays in the buffet were never empty, and our sushi came out before too long, although our plates were never cleared during the meal. The ambience is a little classier than the average buffet, so that's nice. All in all, I enjoyed my experience, and I will definitely come back.

This place is insane im shocked they arent more busy. Wonderful pricing for a buffet and sushi rolls, so many hot & cold options on the buffet, truly an entire meal and more. So many fruit & dessert options. An excellent option for big groups too! Cant wait to come back.

Sukiya Sushi & Japanese Buffet First meal in Utah and it delivered. For just over $30, you get access to a wide range of sushi rolls, Asian dishes, and even quirky items like sushi tacos and sushi donuts. The buffet includes fruit, desserts, and milk tea -- all unlimited. Staff were attentive and checked in often. Solid variety and value

I was blown away by the food here. I am visiting Utah from Los Angeles for a weekend trip, and Los Angeles has some amazing Asian buffets. However, sukiya exceeded my expectations. It was actually really good and they offered so much variety. I loved the sashimi, standouts were the octopus and salmon which were so fresh! The crab legs were so yummy. Also, the lobster tail and a5 wagyu nigiri were STELLAR. The restroom was super clean. The service was amazing. They had so many delicious desserts, the mango mousse was the best. I highly recommend !

What a great find! All you can eat sushi with so many choices, including salads and desserts, with a large selection of hot and cold dishes. Spacious dining area, great service, and a fun indoor decor. Definitely worth the price; everything we tried was just fantastic! Family friendly, and tables can accommodate large groups as well.

The food was amazing, the service was great. The ambiance was pretty nice, we were still able to have a conversation with each other.

Sukiya is the gastronomic embodiment of the transpacific passage, sporting a wide variety of buffet options from sushi to dim sum to tiramisu. Dinner prices come just shy of $33 but for an additional $7 you can choose their premium selections and opt for their seemingly endless array of rolls in addition to the regular buffet spread. We shared the A5 Wagyu nigiri which was good but I can't say there was much discerning this and a fatty cut of some USDA prime steak. Novelty aside from the coveted A5 name, this dish was still good. What was simply sublime were the unlimited snow crab legs. Something visceral took over as I bolted to and from the crab leg station, cracking a myriad of snow crabs with just these hands. For the price and AYCE gimmick I expected little but received moist, flavorful legs in one lunch sitting. I will say that the sashimi options were few, and I wasn't about to risk the terror of bad raw scallops but this aside, it's a decent buffet. The staff are also friendly but served us the bill quite early in. All is forgiven, though, with the snow crab saving grace.

Ambience.. modern, hippie, Asian motif.. music was a little loud, a little cool in booth we were sitting in. Staff were nice. Server nice but didn't frequent as much as we think they should've. Tables cleaned off quickly, food presentation was neat. Negative for: 1. hard white rice. 2. beef cubes and chicken beside it were barely warm and got cold way too fast when we seated. 3. Server didn't check on us except when plate is picked up .. had to call them over. Otherwise - decent. Now to finish off meal with this other green tea .. So I would say almost a 4 ... 3.75

I have a difficult time trusting seafood buffets, especially when the seafood is served raw and when the price point is $26/per person. However, my expectations were blown out of the water because of the fresh array of nigiri and sashimi. Honestly, the texture and flavor of the nigiri was so good and buttery, just a few bites made the meal feel worth it! (My goal at every AYCE is to eat my money's worth, and this place makes it extremely easy.) I didn't try any of the signature rolls because I'm more of a nigiri fan and it did not disappoint! Salmon, tuna, escolar, scallops, and (my favorite!) yellowtail were all available and all delicious. The chefs were working directly behind the bar so you could see them rotate out the old food and restock the buffet with fresh rolls and sashimi. By the time I ate my fill of nigiri, however, I didn't even have the chance to try their Chinese food! (Although, their honey walnut shrimp was very good.) Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would love to go again the next time I'm in Salt Lake!

Few different things from the buffet, all great!

We went for Mexican Night and loved it so much that we came back again for Italian Night. As someone who grew up going to HomeTown Buffet, this felt like the homemade version of that experience comforting, fresh, and made with care. Everything we tried was delicious. Italian Night was just as impressive, with favorites like lasagna, spaghetti, Alfredo pasta, meatballs. I love their fries and pizza lol. The dessert selection was amazing too, there was so much variety, like their rice puddinf. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food was consistently great both visits. Honestly, I wish we had a Chuck-A-Rama in California. We'd be regulars! You don't have the pallet for it. The sweet and sour sauce is just sour. The fried rice has no flavor. The eggrolls tastes like they came from a frozen box and was fried. Shall I keep going? Your salad bar could use a little more variety choices. I would love to see beets, mushrooms, and baby corn. The seafood salad used to have more imitation crab and is now mostly celery. The monkey bread is good when it's fresh. Lately, it seems like the rolls don't proof enough before baking and they turn out flat and tough. One thing they nail every time is their fresh baked rolls. They are always fluffy and buttery. Another won is the turkey, which is always moist and flavorful. My last complaint is I would love to have a PIECE of fried chicken that's not the size of a half chicken. These pieces are HUGE AND DRY. Both fried and baked chicken have good flavors. I just wish they were smaller, juicy pieces. Some nights are better than others. You can't beat the value you get here. Just not on Tuesday nights.

I've been to quite a few Korean places and this one stands out with their side dishes were fresh. He seated us at a booth at the back of the restaurant that had a broken seat cushion. Once we sat at our table, we waited for several minutes and nobody came over to get our drink order or anything. So we went and got our first plate of Mongolian BBQ (which is still amazing and was the only good thing about our visit). When we got back to our table, we saw that the booth next to us had people who came in after us and they had drink orders already brought to them. Then a server lady finally noticed us and said, "Oh, where did you guys come from?" She then took out drink orders. We both ordered huckleberry lemonade. She was gone for a while only to bring back waters. She then said she forgot what we ordered and then was gone for another while and finally brought us our lemonades which were nothing special flavor-wise. Then we asked if the amount of rewards points we had would cover the 3 of each (crab rangoons, egg rolls, and pot stickers) appetizer and she said yes. All three items had really dry exteriors and the filling inside each was pretty mediocre. Our server then asked for the code on my app for the free appetizer. I gave it to her and then a while later she said it wasn't valid. Then I had to show her and then her manager (who looked very unprofessional with messed up hair and a grungy hoodie) and shoes on my HuHot app that I have 149 points and that's more than enough because 100 points=1 free appetizer. That manager then asked me to write my number on the back of a receipt, then she went all the way upstairs and didn't come back for a long time. Once she did she said she still couldn't figure it out so that she would still comp us for a free appetizer. Phew! Then the original server came over and handed us a receipt and said that she'll be our cashier when we're ready but quickly left before we could say we were ready. Then we waited for another super long while. That server never came back but eventually the hoodie manager came back and quickly took our payment. Very rough and strange experience at HuHot tonight.
