Talk about a fun experience, while having drinks in an ice lounge with parkas, and gloves in minus 5 degrees Celsius. This is definitely a high price per minute because the visit may be relatively brief, but worth the adventure. Some of the packages are $70 + dollars, per person. Once I was inside, it felt like a winter wonderland surrounded by hand crafted ice sculpture's. I really enjoyed the led lights, music, and the Ms. Pac-Man game. My reason for 3 stars is because I don't think that their POS System (while paying for entry only) should give you the option to tip. That screen should automatically be bypassed. I understand I do have an option for "no tip" but I, as a customer, should not feel like I have to leave a tip out of guilt or embarrassment, if I do not leave one. Unless it was because the employee placed a parka on my back, I'm not quite sure why I even left a tip at that point. We hadn't even walked into the bar. That being said, the lowest tip of 3 options was approximately $18, on top of the large entry bill. All in all, it was both memorable and exciting. read more

The blue coats were heavy used and most of the buttons did not work. You're provided thin gloves and it's cold inside. Drinks are very strong but not very good. We did not actually go in the ICEBAR, (been there done that.). But we couldn't resist the $5 frozen daiquiri where you get to choose the flavor and liquor, (rum, vodka, or tequila.). There were so many flavors; plus you could combine them! We settled on a strawberry-coconut rum daiquiri. It was really sweet and so cold! I had quite the brain freeze! There are so many daiquiri bars on The Strip; but this is the only one with the $5 daiquiris. There wasn't much of a wait and the staff was friendly too! This was my first time going to an ice bar experience. Overall, it was cool being in a bar made of ice down to the cups you drink out of. Here's a quick rundown: - You pay for your level of experience you would want. We opted for the $49 package since it included two drinks. They'll give you two cards as your drink vouchers to give to the bartender inside. Note: We were able to drink one inside and we had the option to drink the second one from the options at the entrance. - Once you pay, you are given a coat and gloves before entering. Fur coats are an additional fee. We stuck to the normal coats. - Then you get your gloves, you have one free photo included at the photo booth, and you can enter the ice bar. - Once you're in you can get your drinks and enjoy the space. Note: you use the same ice cup for all your drinks. Don't leave it lol. Overall, I enjoyed the ice sculptures, the bartender and the woman working the register were amazing! They helped us out and walked us through the whole experience. The lady who gave us our coats and gloves was rude and rushed us. Hence the 1 star drop from 5/5 stars. read more

I love ice bars! minus5 is a fun spot for the gram but definitely pricy for what it is. Pro tip: check on Groupon to see if they have discounted tickets for entry before coming minus5 Icebar has three locations on the strip. This location is in the Mandalay Bay shops between the Mandalay Bay and Luxor and was super easy to find. I bought tickets on Groupon beforehand for the Cool Experience, which gets you entry into the ice bar + parka. It was ~$12 pp on Groupon vs $24 if you buy at the door, so definitely check Groupon before going. There's a little bit more work required, since you have to use your Groupon promo code to buy tickets on the minus5 Icebar website for your desired date/time slot, but it's worth it imo! My friend and I came Thursday night around 10 pm and it was pretty empty, with only 2 other people there to celebrate a birthday. If you're planning to get 2 alcoholic drinks (by yourself or shared with a friend), it's worth it to upgrade to the Coolest Experience for an extra $25. There aren't any prices on the cocktail menu, but we were charged $16 for one alcoholic drink, so it's better to get 2 drinks for $25 instead of paying $32 at the bar for 2 drinks. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade when we checked in but declined, as I was planning to get a mocktail. Check-in is easy. They provide parkas and gloves. I also recommend wearing pants and closed toed shoes if possible, otherwise you'll freeze inside pretty quickly even with the parka. The ice decor inside is varied but seems to be primarily ocean/marine themed. There was a boat area, Poseidon, waves, and various marine animals. There were also other fun themes like a phoenix area with flames and an old school gaming wall with Pacman and Tetris. Don't expect a lot from the drinks here. While it's cool that they're served in an ice glass, that means the portions are tiny. A couple sips and you're done. Also, the specialty cocktails are pretty basic with just alcohol + juice mixed in. My friend got one of their cocktails for $16, and I went with a mocktail for $8. Both were okay, but clearly the drinks are not the priority here. We spent maybe 30 minutes here, a lot of which was spent taking pictures in the various areas, before we got too cold and decided to leave. Would definitely recommend minus5 Icebar if you're looking for a fun ice bar experience! read more

We bought tickets for Ghost Stories by Kent Axell that is performed at the 1923 Proabition Speakeasy next door in the Mandalay Bay Casino and Hotel. Awesome experience but COLD AF! You literally walk into a freezer that is -5 degrees F. Before you go in, you have a couple options for additional clothing, gloves and head coverings - for a price. Once inside you can look around the -5 ICEBAR and take in the ice carvings and art displays. There are some interesting ways to take shots from the bar in risqué ice carvings, if that is your thing. Very friendly service from the bar tenders (how do they stay warm in here?!?!?!). Lots of cool photo op spots. Not sure if you can but I saw a few people smash their ice cups on the floor after they took their shot. They have furs on the ice seats but the cold still comes through. Tip1: 10% Military/Veteran discount available. Tip2: DO NOT set your ice cup down on the ice tables, they will slide right off onto the floor with your beverage! It's an experience. Yes, it's expensive. You pay admission and then of course you need a drink. We purchased tickets online so it went very quick from when we arrived to the time to get the coats, less than 5 minutes. They carry sizes small - XX large which is nice and provide gloves. If you get a cocktail you will definitely need the gloves so you can hold your drink without it slipping since it's served in a bock of ice. It's around $13 or $14 for a cocktail and $8 for a mocktail or hot cocoa. The freezer area is definitely cold and was a nice reprieve from Vegas summer. There are two seating areas, one that's lie a pirate ship and one that is surfer themed. There are a few other benches and chairs as well. There was never more than 10 people when we were in there. I think if there was about 20 it would be too congested. There are a few spots for photos and the staff came in once to take some pictures. Unfortunately the 3 they took were all in the same spot, so they were all fairly the same. We hung out for about 30 minutes, which was enough since we wore shorts and flip flops. The staff were all friendly and it was a nice experience. My 11 year old absolutely loved it and was the highlight of the trip. read more

I had high hopes for Minus5 Bar, especially since it was my first time visiting and I had heard it was a must-do experience. We decided to go in celebration of my father-in-law's birthday, and our group included his sons and my husband--six of us total, and I was the only woman in the group. Unfortunately, the excitement quickly faded due to the disappointing attitude of the staff. From the moment we walked in, the woman at the counter who charged us was unfriendly and carried an air of indifference, almost as if we should feel lucky to be there. It was not the warm welcome one would hope for when trying to celebrate a special occasion. The woman who gave us our coats and escorted us into the bar also had a noticeably negative attitude. She made no effort to engage with us and seemed like she didn't want to be there, let alone interact with customers. Her demeanor was cold and unwelcoming, which really set the tone for the rest of the visit. The only highlight of our time there was the photographer, who was friendly and personable. She showed genuine enthusiasm and helped salvage the experience just a bit. Sadly, I would not return to this location or recommend it to family or friends. Management should seriously consider re-training staff on the importance of customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all--regardless of gender, background, or group dynamic. Guests have choices, and poor service leaves a lasting impression. We visited around June 19th or 20th, 2025, and I truly wish it had been the fun and memorable experience I was hoping for. read more

This place is so cool! I came across this place on TikTok and bookmarked it as number 1 on our list of things to do while we were in Vegas. Friendly staff, very accommodating and even took pictures of us. Everything inside the ice bar is made of ice. The walls, seats, ice sculptures and even the cups they give you are made of ice. Major plus, this place is kid friendly! They even had games like Uno. Now onto the fun stuff... prepare to be bundled up! Before commencing on this icy endeavor, you'll be fitted with a parka and gloves because this place is super cold -5°C (23°F). The parka keeps you warm but once you take off a glove to take pictures, it's cooooold. Don't say I didn't warn you. But the cool thing is that there is no time limit. We ended up staying about an hour. I ordered a Truly and one of the cocktails the bartender recommended, "Arctic Sunset." My husband got an old fashioned. My kids got a soda, and my daughter got a water (which was free). The kids liked it, so it was well worth the money. Surprisingly, it wasn't crowded when we came on a Saturday afternoon. Very cool experience. I have been to another one of these in Orlando and my nephew wanted to try it. We were in Vegas in August so it was of course hot so I was fine going. I was able to get tickets online for an entry about 4 hours later which was great. They do have packages online but just went with the admission. When we got there. The check in was super simple and only took a couple minutes to explain the process and get jackets. I am plus sized and they did have coats that fit which was nice. We each got a drink inside and while they were kind of expensive, it is Vegas, it is touristy and we were in Mandalay Bay so it was expected. You are not rushed once you are inside and we were able to hang out until we were all chill enough to leave. The staff were great and we had a good experience. I would absolutely return.
