Tonight we scheduled and appointment for my sick husband and after waiting 45 min past appointment time we called it quits. I get they it's a late Wednesday night but if you can't keep up with scheduled appointments then maybe you shouldn't have late slot times. I went there for Covid testing since my workplace asked for official testing result, but ended up being charged for about $70 with my insurance. I was told without insurance the charge is $120. besides testing they also measured my temperature and blood pressure. I didn't ask for this, and didn't expect this at all. All I want is a simple test, and the result. The same testing in Walgreen is only $19.99. A complete ripoff. If you really like to burn money this way, come to CVS otherwise run from it. I tested positive for Covid in June 2022, and when I decided to schedule a virtual MinuteClinic visit, I didn't realize I was making a big mistake. I thought I would be saving the hassle of going in person to see my doctor and helping to prevent further exposure to others, so I went online and booked a MinuteClinic visit through CVS. I input my insurance information and the appointment was booked. The doctor - Karen Morrissey - was just going through the motions and seemed indifferent to my case, but I figured hey, it's not my usual doctor, what do I expect? Little did I know at the time, that her practice was out my network coverage area (this was in no way indicated when the appointment was booked). It would be five months before I would realize this when I received an overdue bill for $150 in November! I spent 45 minutes on the phone, transferring between my insurance company and the MinuteClinic customer service (which was 45 minutes wasted as the customer service agent was incompetent and had to ask four times for my account information before ultimately inputting it wrong). I am tired of dealing with this, so after receiving another overdue bill in January, I just paid the full balance. Lesson learned: NEVER USE MINUTE CLINIC. EVER. read more

Stay away from any Minute Clinic places. They are nothing but money making machines of additional revenue for the company. If you think they have solved your problem, that would have been much simpler or you would have solved it by yourself. I visited 2 different places 3 times in Dallas area with no solution but they charged me $140 / Visit for 3 Visits and Medicines those treat the symptoms for about $75 - 3 times which did not work and unnecessary test $266. Total spent $900+ for nothing. I do not have insurance so I chose these places. If they do not know what it is do not prescribe symptoms suppressing medicine and collect consultation fee. My moms oncologist(not local) suggested one antibiotic and I showed that to them on my 3rd visit. They were hesitant to prescribe and wanted me to go for further testing. Out of 3 fed up visits one of my friends doctor after hearing the symptoms he prescribed different antibiotic for 10 days. 8 Days gone and I feel more than half better. It was only $13. For that I spent $900+ uselessly, waste of time and stress related to that. read more

The "convenience" of minuteclinic has turned into an insurance billing disaster. Despite copying my insurance cards and telling me it was covered I get a bill stating that nothing they did was covered by Medicare or my supplement. Calling billing is another joke. Yelling out your window is just as effective. All they did was a covid and flu test and charge $139 for an outpatient, new patient, medium visit. Then they charge $120 for a covid test and $100 for a flu test. Then claim that these are not covered by Medicare and my Medicare supplement. Driving 3 miles further to a legitimate clinic I would have been covered completely. These clinics are just a revenue enhancer for a failing drug store chain. read more

Went to get our "free" COVID testing today. Made an appointment and showed up a few minutes ahead of time. 45+ minutes later, we finally got our turn. They are the worst. They let people sit in line talking and talking and even making cell phone calls while at the window. Seriously? There are other people in line. If they don't want to do self administered tests, move them the hell out so other people can get to their appointment! What a bunch of idiots. Maybe we will get our results in 6 to 10 days. Maybe. This company was terrible to work with. I had a very small UTI and the nurse provided the prescription. Then said, we'll send it to the lab, just to make sure. Didn't say it would cost double the actual visit - didn't tell me at all there would be additional fees. I waited two hours after my appointment just to be told that my daughter could not be seen because of her age. I created the appointment online and entered her birth date and the reason for the visit and I was able to proceed with the appointment. I came to my appointment early as instructed and waited two hours after the scheduled time to be disappointed. The nurse practitioner was nice but was not aware of CVS' policies regarding their patients. She basically relied on a text from another nurse to tell me, until I asked her to show me the policy. I ended up going to the urgent care across the street and was seen and out of the office in 45 minutes. Hello fellow nurse here and I don NOT recommend having a TB skin test done here!!! When I had to return for the second appointment for the reading of my test the appointment was canceled with no notice. I showed up and the office was closed, so I had to find another location that was opened on that same day. Also everyone knows this is a two part office visit and they charge you for the second appointment that only takes 1 minut. 74$ for a TB skin test ridiculous!!!! read more

I've been to other minute clinics with good service but this place is a joke. I signed on at 3:00p and they said 2 hour wait. They said they would text 30 min early to let me know to return. I rcvd no text so I returned in 90 min to find I was still at 120 min wait. I returned in 90 min and they said 60 min wait. So I returned in 45 min and they were closing. Never rcvd any text. The nurse said I was too late and they texted me to let me know to show up. I proceeded to show her my phone which indicated there was no texting done by CVS. She replied that it's a machine and she has no control over it. Nurse was rude the whole time. So I ended up at Baylor ER to get looked at. The thing that really irritates me is I had options at 3 o'clock. I could've gone to 2 Walgreens which are minutes away. But when I found out CVS wouldn't see me, everyone else was closed except for the Baylor ER. They gave me three prescriptions. Guess which pharmacy I didn't have them filled at. read more

Did a pcr covid test and my goodness is it bad. Says results in 48 hours and that it would be emailed or texted to me containing a link to the results. Had to call them multiple times and the person wasted 30 minutes of my time just to get my results that was supposed to be emailed to me. She was rude and i will not be using this service ever again. Stay away from this clinic. This clinic gives rudeness a whole new level of rudeness. I checked in because I have a bad case of bronchitis, with progression to bacterial infection. I was told by the nurse that I would not get therapy, treatment, or antibiotics or inhaler. My blood pressure was up because the nurse was being rude to me. She then puts down I have a history of high blood pressure. I had to demand she remove that from my record. The PA was just as rude. He, without even evaluating me, said that he was not going to give me any medication, inhaler or treatment based on what I said but did not place a stethoscope on my chest. I left based on that. I sure was not going to pay someone who is hell bent on not treating me. I guess you get what you pay for. Go elsewhere, these walk in clinics suck. read more

I am sans insurance so she gave me viable options for treatment of the flu and I was out the door within 15 min. Very helpful and kind. Definitely recommend them. After about a week of coughing and sleepless nights I began to wonder if what I thought were allergies were actually an upper respiratory infection. I take care of my grandson while my son works and did not want to give him anything! My primary care doctor wasn't in the office that day so I was going to go to Primacare. Stopped in at CVS to get a drink and some cough drops and saw the Minute Clinic sign. Hmmm...why not? I have to confess, I'm a health care snob. My family is full of doctors so I'm picky about who and where I go for medical care. But I knew I wasn't terribly ill, and really just needed someone to listen to my chest and be sure there was nothing there to worry about. There was a computer screen to sign in on, which only took about 3 minutes. It informed me that my wait time was about 15 minutes. After about 10 minutes the Nurse called me in. The clinic is nice and clean, with a small exam table, desk, and chairs. The Nurse Practitioner who saw me was very professional and thorough. She listened to my chest, front and back, and took all vital signs. I was impressed that she took blood pressure the old fashioned way, with a stethoscope and a cuff! She told me my lungs were clear and that it was just really bad allergies. She transmitted Rxs directly into the pharmacy to be filled! It was all so convenient! The total time start to finish was less than an hour, and I was on my way. My insurance co-pay for the visit was $20. They offer lots of services that surprised me, like shots and prescriptions for travelers. I highly recommend the Minute Clinic. The care was excellent and could not have been more convenient. I will definitely use them again next time I am unwell. read more

(Wednesday 11-29-17) was my 1st (and most likely my last) visit to a Minute Clinic. I chose your Minute Clinic b/c I was told I could be seen without an appointment. Your clinic is located about 10 minutes from my office in Dallas, but is located 85 minutes from my home in Ft. Worth. . My review of your Minute Clinic & the Nurse Practitioner ("Nurse") I saw is going to be blunt. . 1. Kudo's - I walked in at 8:25 am, signed in & was the 2nd person to be seen by the Nurse. 2. Your Nurse promptly saw & asked me all of her diagnosing questions. 3. She swabbed me for Strep (because I reported that my girlfriend had suspected she recently had Strep) (side note- I rec'd a vm on Friday 12-01-17 from a woman other than the Nurse saying that my culture was negative for Strep. It was disappointing that I couldn't voice my opinions that I am writing here today.) 4. After 20 minutes, she handed me some paperwork, but she did not prescribe any medication to help me with my illness. 5. Your Nurse send me on my way with a note for my employer saying that I should stay home from work for 1-2 days & continue to take the over the counter medications (which I told your Nurse I had taken the night before). . Side note: The over the counter medications I had taken prior to seeing your Nurse "seemed" to do such a good job that I did not have any fever or show any serious symptoms. I guess that is why your Nurse did not feel obligated to help me. . (Thursday 11-30-17) Guess what? I spent the entire day in bed ... sicker than a dog ... running a fever around 100.1 ... coughing, sneezing & with major drainage. I had not felt that sick in a very long time & I of course I missed work. Yes, I continued to take the over the counter meds (as instructed by your Nurse), but they only do so much. FYI - the "Nights & Early Morning" were the worst for me. (drainage is a bitch!). . As you read my review, I am guessing that you are saying to yourself that I should have returned to your Minute Clinic to see if your Nurse would prescribe me some medication. I did for a brief moment, but then I told myself ... why bother? Why would I run the chance that what happened to me the 1st time at your Minute Clinic will happen to me again? (e.g. walking out of your Minute Clinic with no medications to help me). Besides, I was in Ft. Worth Thursday and Friday. And it's expensive to see your Nurse. . Summary (and my advice to all Minute Clinic Patients): Your Company should advertise to all its patients to NOT take any medication prior to visiting your Clinics. If your patients want any chance of getting some real help, they have to exhibit the worst of the worst symptoms possible. "Taking any medications what mask or suppress a fever, cough, or cold symptoms run you the risk of not getting any real help". . P.S. Today is Monday 12-04-17... I am still hacking & coughing. Yes, I do plan to seek medical attention, but not from a Minute Clinic. I am seeing my MD in The Colony (yes it's an hour drive away) but I plan to show my MD the paperwork that your Nurse send me home with. I plan to ask my doctor what I did wrong? What did I not say? Why didn't the Minute Clinic Nurse prescribe me any medication to help me with my cough/ upper respiratory problems? STAY. AWAY. I should've gone with my gut on this one.... I signed in at 11AM and there were 2 people ahead of me.... it said 45 min wait. I left, ate, walked back to CVS by 11:50 and it still said there was a 34 minute wait.... what? So my mother talked me into staying since we were both pretty positive I have bronchitis. I ended up waiting 2 HOURS for 2 people ahead of me... THEN I TELL THE DOCTOR (Sandra Horwitz) that I've had bronchitis before and I think I just need an antibiotic. She proceeded to LAUGH AT ME & tell me that "I will have to be assessed" and that "she doesn't always prescribe antibiotics for bronchitis." I am a personal trainer. I KNOW when I am healthy and when I am not. She LISTENS TO MY LUNGS, TELLS ME TO BUY OVER THE COUNTER FLONASE AND THEN CHARGES ME $130 !!!!!!!!!!!!! I am moving to California in 2 weeks and I TOLD HER that I do NOT have money to waste. I asked, "why was it $130 instead of the [minimum] $89?" (since she didn't DO ANYTHING)..... she replied, "well I think it's because of the assessment... that's just what it came out to." I am livid, sick and now out of $130. If anyone knows if/how I can get that money back -- PLEASE help me. I walked in there in tears and walked out madder than I've been in a VERY long time!!!! Worst experience ever. Was told I had a 30 minute wait so I headed over to get there with a little extra time. Ended up waiting in the isle of cvs for 2.5 hours with a 102° fever to have the slowest appointment of life by a little old lady who was rude to me when I was upset about having to wait so long that the pharmacy had actually closed. Terrible terrible terrible. She also touched my throat swab to the wall and cabinet but wouldn't open a new one when requested. Probably made me more sick. read more

So, contrary to other reviews on here, I actually have had 3 positive experiences here. I've been and paid the cash price, have been with bad insurance, and have been with great insurance. Twice I've been on the weekends for bronchitis. Both times I was treated quickly and given appropriate prescriptions that I've received before at my gp office as well. Just go in with an open mind. You're going to the minute clinic, not a doctors office (the staff, who have always done well for me, are either RNPs, PAs or RNs). It's not meant to be a primary care physician. Last note: just because the word minute is in the title doesn't mean it will be fast, it's just a catchy name. read more

Complete lack of genuine care for patients. I arrived at 7:20pm (they close at 7:30) with a terrible throbbing pain in my ear (among other sinus issues). I only go to the doctor when I absolutely need the help and this was one of those situations. I begged the doctor to please see me, despite their closing soon but she insisted that they were closed because she already "cleaned everything up." I will never understand how a doctor can look someone in pain in the eye and tell them no, keep suffering so I can carry on with shopping in the store. read more
