Prior to visiting this MinuteClinic I called to ask if they treated my specific pregnancy-related condition and was told Yes. I went to this location and checked in, was given an estimated wait of 23 minutes. Nearly 2 hours later I was called back only to be told they did not treat my condition. After being sent out without examination I sat back on the waiting area chairs to call other clinics, propping up my feet on another chair as the long wait had caused my ankles to swell considerably. There were no other customers waiting yet when the doctor came out and saw me she said I was taking up too much space (should only use one chair). Walked in, all signs showed no wait. Signed in, waited 25 minutes, was shown as the next person in line. After waiting 25 minutes, was told that I actually was not next in line because of a computer malfunction and would have at least another 20 minutes to wait. Fix your terrible system cvs. People base their schedules around the shown time- this is not acceptable. Will not be going back. read more

I went to Minute Clinic because I had been sick. I'm sure that's the majority of their business...sick people. And my past experiences had all been positive. However, I did expect a wait when I checked in today in Cave Creek at Dynamite and Tatum. After checking in at 11:10am the computer indicated I'd have an 83-minutes wait. Okay, and I expected that as it's the flu season. I left and returned 80-minutes later at 12:30pm to find that I now had a 61- minute wait. By 1pm (30-minutes later) that was whittled down to 53-minutes! I killed time inside the store and received a text stating that I had 30 more minutes seeing others who had arrived after me and were each consecutively seen. Then while wandering around the medical person said she'd be another 30-minutes because she was due for lunch. So now after receiving notice of an 83-minute wait the display indicates I have another 10-minutes. In addition, I saw people who had been canceled and were Re-added to the roster ahead of me. I tried to discuss the matter with a CVS supervisor, but he quickly separated himself from MinuteClinic stating that they run their own business inside CVS. Morale of the story...don't go to MinuteClinic expecting quick service, accurate notice, or that you will be called in order. read more

Do not waste your time or money here. I know my body, I get a sinus infection in the spring and fall every year. My doctor in my home town always gave me an antibiotic and cough medicine to help me sleep at night. After I paid $80, the doctor diagnosed me with "allergies." It doesn't take a genius to tell me what I already know! They were updating their computer system and the nurse was way more concerned about learning that then taking care of me. When it was all said and done I basically had to ASK her for some cough medicine because my cough keeps me up all night. And sadly, whatever she prescribed me isn't working in the slightest. I would suggest taking your money and business somewhere else! read more

Was told by Carmen, Patient rep, that MinuteClinic is NOT a part of CVS. the do not file under prescription drug coverage. I was referred to the MinuteClinic on Lamar, (not the pharmacy) by a pharmacist at CVS at Parmer Lane, Austin since they did not have the Shingrix (shingles) vaccine. I paid $179. Turns out my prescription drug coverage DOES cover this vaccine. MinuteClinic won't file prescription coverage. I now have to file the paperwork for reimbursement. Will not use MinuteClinic again and am considering moving my prescriptions to Walgreens. read more

Tonight I arrived 10 minutes after closing time but was still served by Gloria, a very caring and professional nurse practitioner. She had seen me last week and though I was not yet completely well, she didn't insist I see my own primary care physician. She spent a minute or two with me and, in doing so, helped assure a speedy recovery (long story short). I highly recommend this clinic, and especially, this lovely lady. read more

Called to ask what time they stopped seeing patients, was told 7:30. Got there at 7:17 and was told the stop seeing patients at 7:15. Told the nurse I called ahead and was told to head on over. Pointed to the sign that stated the establishment's hours (until 7:30) What a waste! read more

I think MINUTE CLINIC staff.can be very insensitive ..I signed in as walk in , the automated message said that I have @46 mins before my time..took literally a sec to bathroom to put water on my hands..the NP called immediately saying she has to take the people that just signed in...I told her I was literally infront of the door..the other people were actuallyholdingthe door for me saying, " they are waiting for you"...I had the NP on the phone telling her I wAs there at the door, guess what, she said only I'M SORRY..AND CLOSED THE DOOR...amd the other people walked in...I have good insurance..I AM NOW GOING TO ANOTHER FROM NOW ON..DONT GO HERE... read more

Took mother to CVS Minute Clinic for UTI issue. Labs were sent out and then lost and it took two weeks and two days to get feedback that she had an infection and she should be treated. And this was after several phone calls and being on hold for 20-30 minutes each time. read more

Totally incompetent. Unable to look up records already in the system, so created a new record for existing patient. Then, refused to accept or even enter secondary insurance (TriCare) into the system and demanded the full co-pay for primary insurance that secondary would have paid. Kept making errors on entries even after being repeatedly corrected. Finally, took 90 minutes to perform a simple check for strep throat and never performed a throat culture. Previous experience with other locations was good. Will never go back to this one and strongly recommend nobody else use it, either. read more

Minute Clinic- sounds promising, fast, and healing because . . .well. . . that's what the name promises you. Although they are conveniently located within a pharmacy that can get you your medication processed roughly in 15 minutes while you shop for red bull and As Seen on TV wonders, the clinic is not as magical. This minute clinic can provide you with a city clinic experience by having you wait for an hour and half for your name to be called even though you are conveniently the only person on the waiting list. You will notice that, although your small ailment (which are the only health related issues you can be seen for here) takes about 5-10 minutes to diagnose, your visit takes about 30 minutes. Why is this? Well because she types as you wait in an awkward silence for about 20 more minutes. They do accept multiple health insurance, but I would advice you to wait and take a few hours off from work to go to your Real Doctor and stay away from this location until they can find someone that can expedite your health services and keep true to the name. I would have gladly accepted the experience if I were in a long line or if their name was Hours Clinic. read more

I rushed to get there. I got there right at 7:30 - and the clinic was already closed. I knocked on the door and a lady opened the door. I told the lady I just needed a quick strep test. She said they were closed and I was "WAY LATE".... and I should have gotten there at 7:15. She was very unfriendly. It burns me up when a person is so rude to another human being. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

They have posted hours. We showed up 45 minutes before the closing hours -- no one else in line. They said they actually close 15 mins before the posted hours to do paperwork. I'm sorry, but posted customer hours are open hours, not your paperwork hours. Woman just wanted to go home early. read more

Horrible service. They tell you it would take one hour when I came back at the time texted to me within timeframe they went to lunch. I signed in at 1:48 pm and the machine told me it would take an hour. I received a text to come back within 30 mins and went I can back after 30minutes they told me the staff went to lunch. read more

Their website hours say they are open until 5:30 on Saturday. I come in at 5 pm to see a sign on the kiosk that says "WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING MORE PATIENTS TODAY." When I asked the nurse practitioner Gloria about it, she said they accept walk ins until 5:15. "Oh great, then we're not too late?" I ask. She says, glancing at my feverish child, "You are, I'm in with the last patient and it's going to take me until 5:30, you can come back tomorrow" and so helpfully refers me to this thing called the emergency room. I guess Gloria had a hot date, I mean, after all it was Saturday evening. Please save yourself a terrible experience and go elsewhere. read more

I needed a TB test for a job so I came to this minute clinic. There was no line, and I waited for less than 10 minutes. My only complaint would be that it's a little pricey- $28 for the initial test and another $28 for the reading. read more
