It doesn't seem that long ago that MinuteClinic was only good if you needed a flu shot or had the…read moresniffles. Since then, they've been steadily expanding their services to become a full blown primary care facility. What sets them apart from similar places is that they offer appointments 7 days a week with the option to do virtual visits for certain issues. The onsite pharmacy makes it extra convenient if you need a prescription filled after the appointment. So now that I have gotten the positives out of the way, it's time to talk about why I'm giving them 3 stars. First of all, there's no way to choose the provider you will be seeing. Basically, it's whoever is on duty. There have been times when I've seen genuinely caring, wonderful people, while other times I get treated like a number or worse. If I'm already feeling bad, the last thing I need is a surly, judgmental NP snapping at me! Also, in the past they would do blood draws, if necessary, during your appointment. But for some reason that was discontinued. These days they make you go to an outside facility, like Quest, for any blood work, which of course requires a separate appointment. The majority of my visits are for the sole purpose of getting a refill on a medication that I take on a regular basis. I'm always told before I leave that it's been sent to their pharmacy. About half the time though, I discover later on that the pharmacy never received it. I don't know if the providers fail to send prescriptions sometimes or there's a computer glitch or what. All I know is that I have to track down someone to resubmit it. Although things may be unpredictable and inconsistent here, it's not to the extent (yet) that I wouldn't come back.

Andrew is the worker here and he was absolutely amazing. He was so patient and thorough. He completed my physical, vaccines, and my first TB test. He made sure I had enough copies and always asked if I needed anything else. I needed one more vaccine that they didn't have in stock and Andrew went above his job to help me find somewhere that did have it in stock. He even wrote the number and address down since their sister clinic was closed that day. I had several return visits due to getting my TB read and my second step TB. Andrew always greeted me with a smile even when he was swamped. No matter how many people came in, he always kept a smile on his face. I will forever use Wellness mart because of how easy they made things. Or I should say Andrew made things. You won't be disappointed if you need anything that wellness mart offers.

Now I have to restart the entire testing process. I work in a retail pharmacy store very similar to CVS so I know how these stores work and I have never experienced such a lack of customer service before. Told me it would take 30+ min for x ray results for something that wouldn't address what was wrong anyways... so i asked if she could call me to go over it when she gets them so i didn't have to wait uncomfortably any longer. I guess that was too much to ask considering the results were uploaded in the portal signed and reviewed within 15 min and yet i never got a call and was always just put on hold immediately when i would call.... clearly my impression of the staff and doctor were pretty on point with their lack of follow up and CARE!
