I showed up 10 minutes early. I checked in and took a seat. While waiting a nurse came out and seemed to be flustered, there was an issue with another patient's birthdate, delaying their visit. She seemed very flustered, this was even more apparent when she was asking for my ID, if I checked in, and if I had a confirmation number. I pulled out my phone to show her and she took it out of my hand... She verified and I was called back at 1:10 for my 12:50 appointment, And told me it would be a flat $140 since I was paying out of pocket, this confused me since on the screen above the check in kiosk it shows the rates of service. It clearly states "minor illness $99-140". Since I'm there for an ear/sinus infection, and not yet examined by the doctor I asked how she knew I would be charged that amount. Maybe I am missing something, I am there for treatment not to be a detective. not a big deal, yet. She takes me into the exam room to get more info, still flustered and agitated. You can tell by her voice, no big deal, I work in the service industry. I get it and am somewhat empathetic. She then asks if I smoke, I say I used to. Every follow up question is just in a tone. Then she asked if I drink, I said occasionally. She asked Beer or wine, and I responded yes. This annoyed her, I guess I should have just said both.. The next question was about the frequency, and this question was delivered with extreme annoyance in her voice and attitude, as a paying customer this is where I decided to match her energy. I responded in the same tone. This is when she kicked me out of the exam room for "safety"..., NOT THE OFFICE!! This is important. I did not raise my voice, cuss, bring in race, sex, gender, politics, nothing. As she walks out to the now empty waiting room with me, I politely ask for her name so I know who I should complain about. She refused to give it, THIS IS IMPORTANT. I am now back in the waiting room for about ten minutes. This room is filled with signs such as "Patient Rights" and "Minute Clinic Policy". Under the policy is a code of conduct. It states people who engage in profanity, racism, sexual harassment or over all raising their voice should be subject to be asked to leave. I did none of these things. Therefore I did not violate a code of conduct and now know she was just done with me and refuse to help. On the "patient rights" poster it states very clearly that we the patient have the right to know the identity of all parties who treat us, doctors AND NURSES. So her not giving me her name was against her company policy, and violated my rights. At this point I start audio recording everything in my pocket, and the nurse locks herself in the open exam room. The practicing doctor, AKA, the supervisor came out to talk to me, Grace Dada. As she greeted me I asked If i could talk to her, I showed her the signs and expressed my concern with the treatment i received. She apologized and said she would be able to help me after her lunch in 1 hour. It's 1:30 now, my apt was at 12:50. WHAT?! She said she did not have an appointment on the books, so I showed her my email and confirmation number "3KM79Z5". No appointment. At this time I believe that the nurse deleted my appointment on the computer in the exam room. I then asked if it is common practice to accept appointments that come in before lunch hours and make them wait through it, thus making them miss their work, she shrugged. This is just me done with the experience and questioning the overall integrity of this practice. Okay.. Now Im recording and I am keeping my voice at the same register this ENTIRE encounter. She asked me to wait in the office as she went and got someone, this turned out to be James with Target security. He comes over and we all talk, I show him the posters, describe the situation that's happening and clarify with Dr. Grace several times. "You are not, nor have you asked me to leave as the supervisor, correct?" She said yes. I told her, okay then you did not bring James for a trespass situation, may I ask why he is here? "She said, " I don't think you are a liability, but I don't know what SHE will do. She could come out here yelling or angry or who knows what." Yes she said that. "So James is NOT here for her, not me?" She confirmed. I said, okay. She then offered to treat me as long as James stayed there, I said James could come into the exam room for all I care, just an ear/sinus infection. As Grace is treating me, TWO police officers come and knock on the door... They allow the exam to be completed... I asked Grace if she called, she said no, and again confirmed I did nothing to make her feel threatened. I then went to talk to the cops, explained everything and none of it mattered. Grace and NURSE CANDICE GURROR hid in offices as the cops wrote out a criminal 1 / 2

Due to circumstances, I ended up at Advance ER and came away extremely impressed with the staff and facility. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Facility, Return) Atmosphere - I was immediately greeted upon walking in and directed to sit in a very nice waiting area. While this is a full emergency room, I felt like I was in a nicely decorated doctor's office. It made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. 1 Star. Service - The staff went above and beyond. I explained my situation, provided my ID and info, and the helped me throughout the process including assisting with paperwork. Each of the nurses on staff were also helpful, treated me with respect, and the whole time I felt very at ease. 1 Star. Facility - This is the most impressive part of Advance ER. It's like a hospital floor, with a nursing station and examination rooms. Also, they can do everything on site, like imaging, blood and urine work, and more. This makes it very convenient because I didn't have to go to different offices. Everything I needed was done at Advance ER. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes (actually No, because it means something happened to me ). But Yes I would recommend Advance ER to anyone who wants a one stop shop to get a checkup/imaging/prescriptions, etc. all in one place. 1 Star.

Which means...I am sick quite a bit and at least once a year, really sick. This week has been my week. I was turned away by another doc-in-a-box, not due to any specifics minus me rolling sans-spleen, but I was referred to CityDoc by the previous location. I pass it everyday on my way to work and it seems pretty new. I called ahead thinking it would be a long wait in a waiting room full of coughers and hackers. Not the case. They said come on in. Despite some sidewalk construction going on outside of the building, its an easy get-to. The waiting room is clean, spacious, and much to my excitement...was empty. I was greeted promptly and filled out the usual paperwork. As soon as I turned it in, they were calling my name to go back to a room. The nurse was really friendly and nice, obviously taking into account that I was ill. After the vitals check I was led to a big clean room where a small flatscreen tv was playing a movie. I waited no longer than about 10 mins total from the waiting room to actually having the doctor walk in the door. I was seen by Dr. Bailey who was very nice and took her time asking questions not only about my health but about me in general. Made me feel relaxed. I was in and out with some meds, and a shot...boo, but I was headed out with a total visit maybe all of 30 mins. I highly recommend CityDoc. I frequent these types of places and hands down this was the nicest staff, most through exam, and easiest doctors visit I've had to take on. They accept most insurances which makes it easy on us all. Good stuff there, CityDoc.

Then explained as soon as the insurance paid them, usually in about a month, Citydoc will reimburse me. That didn't happen. Be carefull with this organization; they are obviously very dishonest!
