The nurse practitioner that I saw (Leema Mathews) was wonderful. She spent more than 30 minutes…read morewith me, and was kind, respectful, and thorough. In addition to three tests (Flu, Covid, and Strep), which all came out negative, she checked my lungs, my lymph nodes, etc. etc. She took the time to explain (and print out) what things I had been doing that I should continue, what I should change (and why). She also wrote out a scrip for an anti-biotic, for me to use just in case the new treatments do not have any effect after two more days. She even sent a scrip to my regular pharmacy for some things that are available over the counter, in case that would help me to get them with prescription coverage. So, overall: a great experience while I was feeling pretty crummy. She was professional and empathic. Much more than at urgent care locations, such as Carbon Health. My new go to plan will be to avoid "urgent care" places and go to CVS minute clinics instead.

A mild case but the big "19" indeed. Where did I shove my stash of masks? What previously agreed to holiday mirth will now be foregone with (almost) regrets? I can't say I'm that broken up about it. It's a Dickensian Christmas for me, sipping soup swaddled in some moth-eaten blanket. Is that Jacob Marley I hear jangling up the stairs. Humbug. Oh yeah CVS, they were swell. Five easy stars.

My daughter also received her meds from this location soon after being seen by the doctor and the doctor was very detailed in his explanation.

If you're seeking quality medical evaluation, DO NOT go to this facility. Two weeks ago, I visited…read morefor an uncomplicated UTI and was prescribed antibiotics. Given my history of recurrent UTIs, I went to urgent care immediately after taking Pyridium, so my symptoms were very mild. On the fourth day of my antibiotic course, this facility FAILED to follow up with me regarding the urinalysis and urine culture results to ensure my symptoms were improving and the prescribed antibiotics were appropriate. Unfortunately, my condition worsened compared to the first day, so I called them for a different antibiotic. It was confusing why I had to physically return for a new prescription when all they needed to do was adjust my medication and send it to my pharmacy. The front desk insisted that I still needed to come in. If they needed to collect a specimen again, that would make sense, but changing my antibiotic should have been straightforward. I called and waited over two hours for the nurse practitioner to return my call. They finally got in touch two days later, which was already the sixth day of taking the initial antibiotics. Who the hell wants to take antibiotics for almost two weeks? While the NPs and MDs are busy seeing patients, the front desk lady should facilitate communication between patients and medical professionals rather than jusy relaying messages. I am also a nurse with experience in hospitals, urgent care, and private practices. I can confidently say this place ranks among the WORST in professionalism I've been.

This review is solely for my experience at the hospital with a hiring event being held here…read more The exterior and interior of the hospital is gorgeous! They have a large parking lot that seems to fill up so although I lucked up and was able to get a good spot, I can see at times it may not be as easy to do so. The security guard at the entrance of the hospital was so pleasant yet thorough. I wish I would've gotten his name because he was just that good and deserves kudos (middle aged tall brown skinned man) . He spoke to everyone who entered, walked them through the process for entry, re-checked numerous bags and did all with a smile. The hiring event was towards the back of the main floor and was very organized. The Penn Med staff hosting the event were all very friendly and informative and I was able to make a few key connections I can work with and hopefully build a partnership with for the sake of employing Medical Assisting graduates .

I'm obviously kidding but the enrire process from admission through discharge was as seamless and transparent as humanly possible at the intersection of Big Medicine, Big Pharma and Big Legal. Compassion and understanding reined no matter how many questions or concerns were raised. The nursing staff was uniformly excellent as was the pre-procedure parade of doctors and technicians. Like I said, it ain't a weekend in Vegas but all things considered, it probably cost less. Five easy scalpels.

Dr. Regan is wonderful--I'd give her over a 5 star review if I could, she's the best! She was very attentive, kind, and explained things quite thoroughly to me. I came in saying I thought I had bronchitis, and as it turns out, I had walking pneumonia! She was very patient and took her time trying to assess what was going on, and I'm grateful that she didn't just dismiss it as bronchitis. I'm also not local to the area (was just visiting family and happened to get sick), so she was careful in explaining next steps for when I return home. The front desk staff was fine. She wasn't outright rude, but seemed annoyed every time I asked a question. They also charge $2 a piece for the thinnest, flimsiest disposable masks ever, in addition to a $3 credit card fee. It's 2023, in what world would you pay for a doctor without a credit card??? Being that this is an on campus location, I found that kind of exploitative, hence my 4 star review overall.

InFocus sent my COVID/flu testing to Acutis Diagnostics, which is out of network for my plan. That was not disclosed upfront, and I later received a lab bill totaling around $1,400, with $181 listed as my responsibility for the COVID/flu tests. This is exactly the kind of situation patients try to avoid, and it feels inconsistent with the intent of the Federal No Surprises Act and NJ's out-of-network consumer protections. Patients shouldn't have to interrogate a provider about which outside lab they use to avoid a surprise bill. If you're insured through the NJ State plan, ask in writing what lab they use and whether it's in network before any testing. I won't return.
