I forwarded the email. It was just 1 page attachment that I needed to print. She printed the paper, and I thought it would cost $0.25 to $0.50 tops. October 2, 2023, I took 4 images to Minutement Press in Kelso for printing. Correct scaling of the images was critical. After several excuses, the prints were finally completed after 17 days. Later, I realized that I needed to make corrections to one of my schematic images. I took the updated image to Minutemen Press to have it printed in the same way as before; by scaling a virtual ruler in the image to appear at 1:1 scale. I sent the new file to them and paid at 9am November 8. Before paying, I explained that the image needed to be scaled so that the virtual ruler in the image was printed at actual size. He acknowledged my instructions, then I paid. He told me the print would be ready before 5pm, but it wasn't. I waited until the next morning to inquire. When I arrived at 10am, the print wasn't done. Samantha said I could return after a short time and the print would be ready. 45 minutes later, the print was not done. I waited about 10 minutes more, and I was given the print. I looked at it carefully, and thought it might be under-scaled, but I wasn't wearing my reading glasses so I wasn't sure. I asked Samantha if she could get a physical ruler and see if it matched the the ruler printed in the image. She did so, and she told me it matched perfectly. She said, "We didn't scale it." I was a bit confused; I said, "If you didn't scale it to the virtual ruler in the image, how did it come out to be the right size?" She replied, "Just a lucky guess." That reassured me that it was done correctly, so I took it home. In my studio, I noticed that the print was in fact under-scaled. When I put my physical ruler against the ruler in the print, each printed inch was about 1/16th inch too short. That meant that over eight inches, the image would lose 1/2 inch of its size. Over a length of 16 inches, it would lose a full inch. This discrepancy would've been disastrous for the prototype I'm making; I'm glad I caught the mistake before I started cutting expensive materials to the wrong sizes. At noon the same day, I sent my courier to return the bad print and to request a new print be done at the correct scale. While my courier was in the shop, I called 'him' on my phone. Our conversation was interesting; 'He' refused to acknowledge any mistakes were made by any employee, and he didn't apologize. 'He' told me to scale the print correctly there would be an additional charge of $10.00. I asked him why he hadn't charged that fee when I paid. I reminded him that before I paid, I had told him the print needed to be scaled to make the virtual ruler within the image life-sized; I reminded him that he had acknowledged that instruction at the time I paid. When I reminded him of these facts, he immediately became defensive and rude. He said, "No, you told me the ruler would scale automatically to the right size", which isn't true. I never said any such thing. My courier called me to tell me that she had demonstrated the size discrepancy to him, and he attempted to blame my ruler for the mistake... My courier paid the $10 fee for me. Then she measured the new second print, and told 'him' that it was still not correct. They did a third print, which was identical to the second one. He informed my courier they wouldn't do another. My courier told them the third print still wasn't accurate, but he refused to do the job a fourth time. My courier said jokingly, "Well if it's not done right you'll get the customer's wrath." He replied, "If he comes down here and gets violent we'll call the police." My courier quickly said, "He won't do that. He's not that type of person." Then he said sarcastically, "Oh he's SO manly." So at first he fears that I might come do violence against him, (over a printing error) and then he tries to insult me because he's told I'm NOT the type of person to get violent? That exhibits insanity, or stupidity, or both. I don't remember this boy's name, but he was dishonest, irresponsible, unprofessional. He also seemed impaired in some way, perhaps with drugs or alcohol. His speech was slurred, among other signs. He should not be working in a position which requires clear communication or professionalism with the public, because they won't get it. As for his inappropriate comments about me, I attribute that to being young and dumb. I've come to expect such behavior in this area from kids who act, dress, and speak like 'wannabe gangsters'. I suspect he had some trouble with the law, he was forced into a recovery program to avoid jail, and he was given a job at Minutement Press as part of the deal. Am I getting warm? If he is the manager of that shop as he claimed to be, I'm Elon Musk. I won't do business with MP again. I'll go to actual professionals who hold to the business practices described below: (From the Minutemen Press website) "We are a locally owned and family operated printing business that takes great pride in providing great professional courteous customer service." Ok, now I have all this stuff how do I get it to southeast Idaho in three days? Enter Minuteman Press, an everything you need in one place shop for printing, graphics and shipping. Tucked away in a strip mall with a BiMart and a several empty stores lies this little gem of a place. Sometimes you just don't think that the US Postal Service can get the job done, after all it is Government subsidized, so you turn to Fed Ex or UPS, well Minuteman does both. I asked if they could print a document that I emailed to them and if it would "break the bank." She said yes they could do that and that it would NOT break the bank. The 1-page document was printed and I gasped when the lady said it would be a $6.75 "HANDLING CHARGE" plus 49 cents for the printed document. I asked, "seriously," thinking that she was joking. She said yes and also added the sales tax. I shook my head in dismay and disgust, paid the OUTRAGEOUS charge, and vowed to myself that I will NEVER DO BUSINESS with ANY Minuteman Press again!!! I went in with a 24 page booklet for a graphic design portfolio and was promised it would be ready by the following afternoon. Came back the following day, and upon looking at my pages they were printed out of order and mixed up... I told Alyssa ( I believe her name was) and she was immediately going back to the machine to fix it for me. Also, I had brought my own paper with me since it was a heavy card stock, but they insisted on using a similar card stock they had on hand instead of asking for more of my paper (big plus in my book, good customer service moment) Their rates were AMAZING, a similar shop in portland quoted me over 5x the price. Because of Alyssa's act of kindness, I was able to keep my son out of a terrible situation. I found out on (extremely) short notice that I had to print and fax very important information to a facility my son is at. If I didn't get it in, my son was going to be stranded 6-1/2 hours away. Just stopped by to copy 4 pages. B&W copier was just mystical. (You have to write down beginning number and ending number for them. Also, you have to load the paper for them. The 8 1/2 X11 drawer was full of blue paper, but machine said "empty". I needed a certificate printed from my phone. They charge $6.95 to print an electronic file. I'll drive a little further next time to go to Fed-Ex/Kinkos. The employees weren't very personable or helpful either. read more

Poorly run, disorganized, dirty, un-friendly and expensive. Tried to order business cards, envelopes, stationery, and printed reply envelopes. I gave up after 3 tries in 4 months, they couldn't get it right even with samples I supplied. I never thought it would get this bad when I first changed my address. Hate to change my address again, not good for my customer relations and always lose some clients when I change but this is getting ridiculous. My family's business has been coming here for years but the last few times we have placed an order it gets forgotten about and not filled until we call back and ask them if it's ready. We have always been happy with the service but lately it just seems like they don't have it together. This is the first time that I have ordered from this store. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a store. The size of lettering on the business cards was so small you could hardly read the name and phone number on the card. When asking how come a store would print 1000 cards that were not legible I was told that this was my fault and that I was an idiot by the owner of this Minuteman Press. She actually got up into my face I took out my phone to record the situation because I needed document that this person was coming at me. Very "fishy" service.... My office fax went down and had to use their fax service. Sending fax to an 800 (aka toll free aka free) fax number. When asked why it was $8.00 to fax 6pages to an 800 number he chose to argue with me that 800 numbers are charged as long distance on fax machines..... Which their not. It wasn't about the money but the attempt to pull the wool over my eyes. I won't use these guys again and advice is ask a descriptive total before you pull your card out. read more

I needed 600 double sided full bleed flyers in a 24 hour turnaround time and these folks delivered! Good quality on the cardstock and everything came out perfect. Pricing was pretty awesome too. Will definitely use you all again for my local printing needs. I love how I have the option of either emailing or uploading files directly to your website. Their followup was timely, streamlined. I purchased a video card on OfferUp, the guy selling it is the owner of the shop. I thought it was strange that he was selling the card on OfferUp, since he had a shop & strange that he didn't want to meet at the shop. But I brought a 1080ti @ $700, took it home, turned it on & it fires up. I shut it down & turned it on the next day, it works, I got to update the driver & it crashes, with black screen. I try to get ahold of him on the app, he won't answer. He ignored me for 10 days, then finally answers & tells me to bring it by his shop. The he said he can't get it to show a picture, I told he that this was the problem. He offered me to fix it. I was like, how is that fair, so he offers to fix it for me, for free, 3-5weeks & gave me a receipt It's now been 8-9weeks, while I called every week or so, far an update. Was told it was done on the 5th week, but no pickup date available, kept calling. Today he answered, said he lost my number, lost his copy of the receipt. Even thought he has my contact info from OfferUp, text, calls & receipt. But no contact, now the card is defective, he is accusing me of tampering with it, & refuses any compensation for the fraudulent product. I still have my copy of receipt. He was quick to point blame at me & even quicker to deny responsibility for it. He gets $700 for a brick he sold me. If you look through the bad reviews of the company, the owner replies with Grammer & responses of a high school drama queen. Very childish for a grown man. This is the worst experience, the only thing the can fix is basic repairs, as they had me wait for hours to be seen, & I watch the "repair" service they offer. He was so patient with me, especially since I requested several.... several changes throughout the process... He never once made me feel bad for the umpteen million change requests I made :) Not only did Adam have superior customer service but so did Kathy who each time I called, gave the utmost, upbeat, enjoys her job, customer service. Recently I used Minuteman in Vancouver to do a business card run for my business. I was quoted the rate for the order at the desk. I agreed and was provided an invoice which I paid. I was told it would be about 5 biz days until they would be completed. Two days later I received a phone call that they were ready to be picked up. When I arrived the cards were ready as ordered however I was presented with a bill for an additional $95. When I questioned why I was paying the additional funds I was told that the bulk of the charge was overnight shipping per box which a) was never mentioned and b) was admittedly added by the owner of the establishment after I made the initial order. I paid the invoice because I needed the cards for an event. Since, I've spoken to management looking for a refund for the non authorized overnight shipping charges. Management defers to the owner who will not refund the amount after admitting that she added the charges on her own. I've also made requests to be contacted directly by the owner but have yet to receive any correspondence. I've done business with this co. for a decade prior to this incident. At some level the previous loyalty and support , I feel, should count for something but it obviously does not. I'm appalled at the unauthorized liberties taken by the ownership/staff and further lack of customer service to mitigate their mistake. I warn all considering using this business to think twice. There are many competitors out there which exceed the quality and customer service of MMP. Do yourselves a favor and find them. read more

My first experience with them in January 2014 with business cards and matching letter stock was great. They had good customer service and seem to care about what they were doing. I had another experience with them in May 2015 for a program and the customer service was poor/fair. They did not get back to me when they said they would with a quote. I followed up a week later and got a quote. The back and forth with the graphic person would fix one problem only to have another problem. At one point he told me they could not do what I was asking, which was pretty simple spacing issue to get everything on one page like I had it in MS Word document I provided. I had put in too much of my own time to walk away, so I just dealt with it. Then I needed pages for custom book in June 2015 with the same font. Literally just a short phrase at the top, lines on the pages, and column so the pages could be folded. The bookbinder I hired had to go in and work with them, because the graphics person and I were not able to get on the same page (no pun intended). I wish it was like it was back in the winter/spring of 2014. I think they lost a couple important staff members since then. read more
