Came here for my sisters birthday dinner this past weekend and I was so happy with this place that I feel like I needed to write this review ! We came in on a Saturday party of 5 people. We. We're accommodated to better seating in the VIP section. This is definitely a picture/aesthetic place where everyone wants to take pictures so just be mindful. Our waitress was super helpful. Even the other waitresses in the vicinity of our table were nice my sister needed a fork and she didn't hesitate to grab one even though she wasn't serving our table. The drinks were strong I had two Hennessy side cars. Not really a hookah girl but my sisters enjoyed it. Now the food !! Bussssin. I was so suprised. I had the Alfredo with shrimp! So good made with two sauces. My man had the lamb chops and he was raving about them so much he wants to go back. 10/10 The music was so good as well they played 2000s - now hip hop r&b. Pretty easy skip. * Dips (4/5): Actually pretty nice! Will get again. * Truffle fries (4.5/5): They did a good job with these. Rich, crispy, and probably one of the safer orders. * Wagyu burger (4/5): Actually not bad. Small burger, but cooked to taste, and the fries were good. I requested jalapeños, which of course never materialized, so I ate blander than intended. * Lamb chops (2.5/5): Surprisingly off. The flavor profile felt amateurishly imbalanced, which I really wasn't expecting from a place like this at a price point of $46. * Mira Honey (2/5): Very pretty presentation, tasty enough, but weak. And $26. At $20, fine. But if you're charging $26 for a cocktail, light pours are just sad. Overpriced. Good young folk partying at dinner vibes. Mira was probably my least favorite hookah lounge that I've been to in Manhattan. I actually really liked the hookah, but I just wasn't impressed with the crowd or the overall ambiance. Personally, I prefer places that feel chill, social, and personable, where people are actually interacting and enjoying themselves. Here, I felt like I was in a room full of influencers. A lot of people seemed more focused on taking pictures of themselves, their food, and their hookah than actually living in the moment. The whole experience reminded me of being in a Drake or Rick Ross music video. That may be exactly what some people are looking for, but it just wasn't my speed. One thing that really annoyed me was that after 10 p.m., they don't serve tap water and only serve bottled water. I know paying for water is common in parts of Europe, but that is not something I'm used to in the U.S., especially at a lounge. The waitress wasn't totally knowledgeable of things on the menu in the sense of have not tried a bunch of items, but her service overall was good despite that. Loved Mira for the food and the ambience, but let's get into the service. Came here for a birthday dinner. We had set a 10 PM reservation and when we got there, they were overbooked. We weren't seated until 11 PM after going back-and-forth with security to find a table for our party size. I can't say the security, we're trying their best that night to be accommodating to everyone as tables became available. As soon as I was seated, I immediately put in my food order and everything came out relatively quickly. Ordered drinks for the table were all light and refreshing. We got a Bronzino 10 out of 10 salmon seven out of 10 lobster ravioli 9 out of 10 and the short rib pasta eight out of 10. We also ordered a hookah that lasted so long. I don't remember the last time. I've ordered this and it lasted all night. Not sure if I'll be back but everything that they did have to offer was great. read more

This seem to be a great spot but I'm not sure it's best for large groups. We were a group of about 18 on a Saturday night at 8pm celebrating a friend's birthday and our seating was pretty cramped. The tables are small, and the had other tables staged in the middle of the floor behind us. So between that and people passing by, it wasn't the best. They serve hookah and although we wanted to order it, I advised against it because where were we gonna put the hookahs when we were already cramped as is and the tables were small for all the food we wanted to order. We even scaled back on the amount of food we ordered because of the space issue. They do have a "VIP" area in the back, maybe there would be more accommodating to big groups? Not sure, it wasn't in eye view and security definitely had it on lock. The service was pretty quick and efficient despite it being really busy! Drinks: prices are def on the expensive side. Average cost of a cocktail was $26. Drinks we had and recommended: Mediterranean spicy sunset, velvet lychee, and Sidecar. Drinks we had and don't recommend: caribbean dream. Food: definitely the best part of the night and made up for all the other shortcomings. Would definitely go back to explore some more menu items. Everything I had, I'd recommend. I came here for my bestfriend birthday, and the ambiance was clean fresh and smells amazing. They seated US in VIP so that was a plus. The waitress told us about the meals and drinks and which ones she recommended. I got a strawberry marg, and a wagyu burger and it was amazing. Mira is a cute spot with nice decor in midtown. Perfect for a girls night out or date night. I came around 8pm on a Thursday and it was decently crowded. There was good music playing, but not too loud where you couldn't hear someone talking. This place has the absolute BEST hookah. It is soo smooth and lasts forever. They have a pretty decent food menu, although we only got the truffle fries and hummus trio with pita bread. Both were great! I believe later in the evening they have a DJ. You could skip this one! - Mussels: Absolutely delicious! The sauce was the star again, served with garlic bread. Salmon: A must order!!! Perfectly cooked with crispy skin, served with asparagus and rice with a sweet curry/coconut sauce that was spot on. The cocktails are excellent--try the Mira Honey, it's so good! So struggling to give a bad review because service and ambiance was amazing but I just looked over the receipt and they charge you sales tax on the tip. Such bullshit, they're basically pocketing an extra 9% on your tip. The prices are high and tip is automatically set to 20% then charge an extra 8.75% on the tip? Mira was the perfect spot for our girls' night out! I came here with four friends to celebrate a birthday, and from the moment you walk in, the vibe is chef's kiss. By the time we were leaving around 9 PM, the place had really picked up and we noticed a small line forming outside. There is a two-hour table limit, which I thought was totally fair given how busy it gets. Now let's talk food and drinks, because everything was GOOD. For drinks, we ordered the Espresso Martini, Mira Spritz, and Velvet Lychee. Three of us had the Mira Spritz and thought it was refreshing and tasty, but not necessarily out of this world. HOWEVER, the Espresso Martini and Velvet Lychee were a huge hit--one of my friends loved the Velvet Lychee so much she ordered three , which says everything. For appetizers, we shared the shrimp lava, falafel, and calamari. All were yummy, but the shrimp lava was hands down our favorite( so flavorful and delicious.) For entrées, we ordered the salmon, lamb chops, and Alfredo pasta. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. My salmon was AMAZING, paired with a pea cream and crispy elements that took it to another level. So, so good. Babylon did great rebranding as MIRA. All of the staff is amazing - no attitudes, you're not rushed out and they communicate! Drinks are really good and very affordable + quality hookah. It can get very packed on Saturday nights - with a wait of 30/40 minutes just to get to the bar - but it's worth it! Music is good and the place is beautiful! The overall service fell far short of what would be expected at that price point. At one point, a family member wanted to take a few photos on the decorated staircase. We had only been there for about a minute when a gentleman who appeared to be part of the security staff approached us and told us that we could not block the staircase. While I understand the need to keep walkways clear, the interaction felt unnecessarily abrupt given how quickly we were trying to finish. The prices were crazy for what we got, the half chicken was a tiny piece with a soup of olive oil and two slices of cherry tomatoes. It was also dry. The pasta was fine but the portions were ridiculously tiny. We then tried to save our meal with the promised highlight of house made gelato. It took us twenty minutes to get two small scoops and it was icy. The flavor was good but the texture was awful.
