Came here for my sisters birthday dinner this past weekend and I was so happy with this place that I feel like I needed to write this review ! We came in on a Saturday party of 5 people. We. We're accommodated to better seating in the VIP section. This is definitely a picture/aesthetic place where everyone wants to take pictures so just be mindful. Our waitress was super helpful. Even the other waitresses in the vicinity of our table were nice my sister needed a fork and she didn't hesitate to grab one even though she wasn't serving our table. The drinks were strong I had two Hennessy side cars. Not really a hookah girl but my sisters enjoyed it. Now the food !! Bussssin. I was so suprised. I had the Alfredo with shrimp! So good made with two sauces. My man had the lamb chops and he was raving about them so much he wants to go back. 10/10 The music was so good as well they played 2000s - now hip hop r&b. Mira was the perfect place to celebrate my girl's birthday. The manager was incredibly accommodating and sent over tequila shots with sparklers for the table, which made the night extra fun. This seem to be a great spot but I'm not sure it's best for large groups. We were a group of about 18 on a Saturday night at 8pm celebrating a friend's birthday and our seating was pretty cramped. The tables are small, and the had other tables staged in the middle of the floor behind us. So between that and people passing by, it wasn't the best. They serve hookah and although we wanted to order it, I advised against it because where were we gonna put the hookahs when we were already cramped as is and the tables were small for all the food we wanted to order. We even scaled back on the amount of food we ordered because of the space issue. They do have a "VIP" area in the back, maybe there would be more accommodating to big groups? Not sure, it wasn't in eye view and security definitely had it on lock. The service was pretty quick and efficient despite it being really busy! Drinks: prices are def on the expensive side. Average cost of a cocktail was $26. Drinks we had and recommended: Mediterranean spicy sunset, velvet lychee, and Sidecar. Drinks we had and don't recommend: caribbean dream. Food: definitely the best part of the night and made up for all the other shortcomings. Would definitely go back to explore some more menu items. Everything I had, I'd recommend. To start I had the grilled octopus and shrimp lava. The shrimp was good but the octopus was amazing! The Avocado Toast had a nice crispy texture and was enjoyable, could just use a bit more freshness in flavor. The Fajitas were tasty but could have used a bit more oomph to really bring them to life. The Caesar Salad looked great presentation-wise but needed more dressing. The Waffle was solid, gets the job done. Service: Great service overall, keeps up well with the high-energy environment. I really enjoyed this restaurant. The service was great and I went on a weekday. I was seated immediately, but keep in mind I did sit at the bar. The ambiance of the restaurant is really great for dates, group dinners and after work meet ups. The decor was chic and calm but still great if you like content and pictures. This is an upscale s Mediterranean escape with a chic lounge vibe, the new hotspot. From the dimly lit ambiance to the elegant decor, every corner of this space whispers luxury. The cocktails rings from $22-$25. The average price of an entrée is in the $30 range. We spent about $176 per person. The customer service was good thank you Alisha for your hospitality.. Celebrities like Cardi B and Shaq have already made their way here and after my visit, I can see why. We came for an early dinner and were blown away by every detail from the cocktails to the entrées. The grilled Bronzino, octopus, fish tacos, and chicken appetizers were our crowd favorites. Although we didn't try the hookah this time, the aroma was so fresh and inviting and it's definitely on my list for next visit. For what it is I would say that this Babylon revamp exceeded my expectations. Its vibey, the staff is friendly, the food was tasty (a tad bit salty but the fish was delish) and the hookah was great ! I wish it had been a bit more charred, but the sauce was EVERYTHING!!! - Calamari: Meh. Nothing special. Served with chipotle mayo and marinara. Eight calamari rings for $19... You could skip this one! - Mussels: Absolutely delicious! The sauce was the star again, served with garlic bread. Salmon: A must order!!! Perfectly cooked with crispy skin, served with asparagus and rice with a sweet curry/coconut sauce that was spot on. The cocktails are excellent--try the Mira Honey, it's so good! Tastes like creamsicle. Hookah here is pricey; we got the Mira Mix with a pineapple head and iced hose for $65. I think it's very strong. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. Overall, I loved the energy and vibe at MIRA. Just be prepared--it's not cheap. For two people, we spent $372! So struggling to give a bad review because service and ambiance was amazing but I just looked over the receipt and they charge you sales tax on the tip. Such bullshit, they're basically pocketing an extra 9% on your tip. The prices are high and tip is automatically set to 20% then charge an extra 8.75% on the tip? I know a handful of places do this and get away with it because few people check but it's not right. It's just way for them to get extra money. Hopefully they see this and change. Mira is a very elevated, low-key hookah lounge with a Mediterranean menu. I had the salmon cooked medium with a caper lemon butter sauce on the side . It was simple but really delicious. The hookah was fresh, and the staff came by often to refill the coal. We ordered truffle fries when the hookah came out, and they were the perfect pairing. Mira was the perfect spot for our girls' night out! I came here with four friends to celebrate a birthday, and from the moment you walk in, the vibe is chef's kiss. By the time we were leaving around 9 PM, the place had really picked up and we noticed a small line forming outside. There is a two-hour table limit, which I thought was totally fair given how busy it gets. Now let's talk food and drinks, because everything was GOOD. For drinks, we ordered the Espresso Martini, Mira Spritz, and Velvet Lychee. Three of us had the Mira Spritz and thought it was refreshing and tasty, but not necessarily out of this world. HOWEVER, the Espresso Martini and Velvet Lychee were a huge hit--one of my friends loved the Velvet Lychee so much she ordered three , which says everything. For appetizers, we shared the shrimp lava, falafel, and calamari. All were yummy, but the shrimp lava was hands down our favorite( so flavorful and delicious.) For entrées, we ordered the salmon, lamb chops, and Alfredo pasta. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. My salmon was AMAZING, paired with a pea cream and crispy elements that took it to another level. So, so good. To end the night, the three of us who originally had the Mira Spritz asked for a pornstar martini (not on the menu), and it was excellent! Such a fun way to wrap up the evening. Overall, we had a great experience. The restaurant is super cute, stylish, and perfect for a girls' night or an intimate date. Bonus points if you're into hookah, they have several options available. Mira Restaurant - Disappointing Birthday Experience I came to Mira to celebrate my 30th birthday, and honestly, I left really disappointed. The food was good and the drinks were delicious -- but everything else about the experience missed the mark. When we first arrived, my group sat at the bar to wait, and they actually took one of our chairs away so someone else could sit. We had a reservation, yet still waited a long time to be seated. Not a great first impression. Once we were finally seated, they crammed all seven of us into a tiny table because they'd clearly overbooked. Service was painfully slow, the food came out cold, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and short-handed. The restaurant itself is very small, and the portions were underwhelming for the price. For my 30th birthday, I expected a much better experience. Mira might be okay for a casual drink or quick bite, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it for birthdays, celebrations, or large groups. We placed our order our server made a mistake with the water order how are we suppose to know it's not sparkling water as requested . We weren't notified about the hookah prices and differences as we are ordering we should be notified there's a price difference the hookah was $80 , we notified the server she just explained everything a attitude , and the water mix up as well she tend to blame us for the mistake . The food was great but the service was so slow we had to keep calling someone over , towards the end the server kept checking up on us the tip was included already in the bill . Overall it was a bad experience with the customer service and overpricing . We loved the music and wall decors the interior design but we won't be back again . read more
