I came here for dinner with one of my friends recently and had a great time. With two locations in the city, Ravagh serves phenomenal Persian food with amazing service. My friend and I got their dark meat chicken kabob with rice, and another portion with salad. Both portions were huge and the chicken was probably some of the juiciest I've ever had. Truly phenomenal, and I will have to come back to try more.

I've frequented the Ravagh in Roslyn a lot but have never been to any of the other locations. After frequenting this location, it's nice to confirm that their food is great all around. My favorite dish will always be their lamb chops/lamb shank but you can't go wrong with anything here. If you haven't tried Ravagh yet, what are you waiting for :).

I was working late one evening and ordered the chicken shish kebab dinner through DoorDash and it arrived still hot which is always a plus. It was a large portion of protein and veggies. Everything was cooked well and charred just right. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I could have probably saved some for another meal too, but I was starving. I look forward to dining in person!

Some of the better Persian food I've had in this country. We split an order of the fesenjan, the kashk bademjan, and the chicken koobideh kebab, which was more than enough good. The pita bread was great, and fesenjan was perfect, the kashk bademjan was scrumptious, and so was the chicken koobideh kebab. Couldn't ask for anything more, huge fan of the place! We got a table for two quite easily, but it was packed and it felt like we got lucky getting a table so quickly. Will for sure be back!

The staff are friendly and koobideh kabob is good but I certainly don't recommend sultani with "barg kebob". I have tried it twice and both times very hard , chewy and burnt on corners. The inside is pretty but unfortunately no sound isolation and is super loud and irritating for someone who doesn't live in NY.

One of the very best places to eat Persian food. For NYC food scene, this place holds up to high expectations. Persian cuisine is hard to get right on the spot and this place delivered it graciously. Went back another time when I was in the area. Highly recommend. Great service and great ambiance.

Ravagh Persian Grill is a pretty crowded and well-lit restaurant. Unfortunately we were seated right by the door and the winter breeze in February made it less pleasant as the door opened and closed frequently, but it was still a positive experience overall. We ordered Babganoosh for an appetizer and Salmon Kabobs for entrees. The portions were huge and neither my friend and I could finish. We had the chocolate cake for dessert but it was mediocre--not chocolatey enough and the texture was off.

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate a belated Eid. The service, appetizers, and entrees were really well done and tasted fresh/seasoned accordingly. We ordered: Hummus Babaganoosh Labne Lamb Koobideh Kabob Koobideh Kabob Salmon Kabob Shrimp Kabob French Fries Ghourmeh Sabzi Khoresh Fesenjan Baklava Faloodeh Space can feel a bit cramped if you're coming with more than 2+ people but the ambience is very intimate and the quality of the food speaks for itself. Can be hard to find but it's around the corner of 7-Eleven!

Delicious dinner! Easy to walk in on a weekend evening for 2ppl. The baba ghanoush was a great way to start the meal, and the barg (steak) kebab blew me away - so good! Portions were generous as well. The rice I could live without, but I was more focused on the beef - the star of the show....

Can't go to NYC and don't try a Persian restaurant. Ravagh not only didn't disappoint but it was excellent, cozy vibes, great customer service and amazing joojeh kabab. Stuff was very professional and friendly Highly recommend.

Happy palate! Amazing, delicious and healthy food! The hummus and flat bread are a perfect combination. The kabob and steak are very tasty, tender, juicy and go well with the cucumber salad. Moises is the best! Wonderful people.

ESRA was wonderful. She seated my friend and me right away and gave us a table we loved. She patiently explained the menu and was so warm and welcoming that we decided to come back again on the spot. The lamb with eggplant was delicious. The salad is refreshing. I had Persian tea, which was refilled for me to take with me. Love the place, the food, the warm service. Go eat here and ask for Esra. She will make you feel like you came home.

Great food, great ambiance and fairly quick service for peak dinner time. When you go, prioritize the stews with rice. The stew with pomegranate was absolutely amazing. The grill mix platter was good. Glad this is another halal meat option. The baklava was amazing and the saffron ice cream was good. Overall, solid Persian food that gives a decent amount of food and the price reflects being in Midtown. Would recommend!

    Does this restaurant serve alcohol?

    They do.

Is this only takes out and delivery or do u have sit down also I cant seem to make a reservation for dinning in?

They have a seating area. You can make a reservation anytime.

    Is everything hala?

I am 100% certain the beef is Hala

    Is it still byob?

Hi, We now have our liquor license and outside liquor is not permitted however you can bring your own bottle of wine if youd like for a small corkage fee.

Did you receive your liquor license yet?

I went there 3 weeks ago and they did not have the license at that time.

    Is it a BYOB?

Since we did not obtain out liquor license yet, you can bring alcohol with you. This will be in affect until our liquor license is approved. I hope this was helpful.

The staff is so friendly and so many persians were there, I was quite pleased at that! You don't typically walk into any restaurant in Chelsea/Flatiron and find that half the people or more in the restaurant are of that culture (unless we're talking cheeseburgers or wings here). Their wine list is extensive and interesting. They don't have everything on it, but that's okay, we had a fun Artadi wine from Spain - a winery we've been to, which was what I was going for on the list. The cocktails didn't speak to me, but that's okay, persian cocktails can be great or confused. These seemed more on the confused side. The fresh herbs were served as an app, and they were great. Just like my grandma always has on her table. The feta stuffed dates were fantastic, again a nice treat that reminds me of something my grandma might serve me. The labne was stellar with pita bread, and the kashk e bademjan was really good, though not like any I've made before. But that dish can be wildly different anywhere you go. I asked for Tahdig and got some, but I got ghormeh sabzi dolloped on my tahdig which was interesting - like ghormeh sabzi nachos. I do wish the ghormeh sabzi was better. However I may just be extremely partial to our own ghormeh sabzi at home. The cornish game hen kabas were out of this world! sooooo juicy! Definitely worth a visit - you'll enjoy it - but I don't know if tahdig and ghormeh sabzi here are the way to go.

After making the reservation, I peruse the menu picking the daisy deciding what to eat. On this visit, Chef Ayesha was here and I had the good fortune to speak to her and shake her hand. Shukette Cherries was new on the menu and had oomph with a tangy marinade of lime, cilantro and serrano chili. The Pea Party 4.0 of snap peas, asparagus, pea shoots and snow peas was a bright chlorophyll color and tasted refreshing. Egyptian spiced chicken wings were simply mouthwatering. Dipped into a ramekin of white harissa flecked with sumac, this sauce is divine. I had a non alcoholic summer drink that Joseph had recommended. At Shukette, the server will tell you if one has ordered too much which Vladimir did. It's easy to get full quickly which happened to me and I could only manage three wings. When Vladimir came to ask if I wanted dessert, I requested a wheelbarrow instead. He giggled. My desire is to eat at Shukette once a month and so far it has been a dream come true. Highly recommended.

It was a little hard to hear and converse at times as it gets crowded, but the food was delicious and there are really unique items on the menu. Food: The duck shawarma was one of our favorites! The lamb and scallops were also flavorful and tender. The dips were delicious with the pita, but I wish the serving size for the dips were bigger. The fries were great - well seasoned! Also recommend the milky pudding, it was a nice refreshing way to end the dinner. We were lead upstairs to a table. There were 7 of us The seating was cozy but not cramped. We started with 7 family style small dishes: Hummus with Falafel Pops (chickpea purée, tahini, falafel, olive oil), Spring Burrata (roasted cherry tomatoes, toast, basil oil), Hamachi Crudo (passionfruit vinaigrette, citrus zest, cucumber, mint, sesame tuile), Scallops (carrot puree, serrano pepper, brown butter sauce), Tenderloin Skewer (zaatar chimichurri, fresh herb salad), and Shiitake Stuffed Grape Leaves (tomato coulis, yogurt foam, herbs). Everything was delicious. The hummus was well seasoned the falafel had a nice crunch. It went well with the warm puffy gyro bread that came to the table. The burrata was wasm and creamy. I love the vinaigrette on the fish. I ended up eating most of it. The scallops were the sweetest, most tender ones I have ever had. The tenderloin skewers were tender and well seasoned. I liked the grape leaves but the rice consistency was very soft almost mushy and you can barely tell there were mushrooms. There was barely any mushrooms flavor. Next we all chose an entree. I got the duck breast, my husband and daughter each had the beef tenderloin. The duck breast was smaller than i expected. The skin was nicely seared and very crispy but boy did it give my jaw a workout. It was done medium rare. It was juicy but tough. The small beef tenderloin was tender and smoky. The waiter poured the sauce over the tenderloin for added flavor. Finally dessert was a fruit plate with ice cream and pudding. The fruit was fresh and the flavors of the ice cream and pudding unique. It was a nice end to a good brunch. The price was a little expensive at $85 a person.
