    Came here to celebrate my birthday and everything was 10/10. Alejandro gave us an excellent experience from the moment we arrived, the service was attentive and welcoming all the time. The food was amazing, the fish tasted incredibly fresh and everything was perfectly cooked. Thrusday 6pm not crowded at all. The drinks were also really good, but the EROS cocktail was definitely the best one, not overly sweet and you can actually taste the liquor, which we loved Everything we ordered was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for having a relaxed conversation without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by noise. Definitely a place we'd come back to.

    Loved the vibe of this restaurant. As soon as you step inside you feel like you're somewhere in Europe or the Mediterranean. All the food was delicious! Our favorite was the Naxos crisps - fried to perfection with a sauce that was amazing! Cocktails were delicious as well. Definitely a great BK find! Service was excellent from all staff. There were live dancers that kept us entertained all night.

    Naxos really blew everyone away and I've been ranting and raving about my experience there! Gabriel was our server. He was lovely and helped us navigate the menu, making some suggestions of what to order. Every single dish was incredible! The seafood was very fresh. The lamb melted in your mouth. The Aegean heat was one of the best drinks I've ever had. The entertainment and decor of the space was stunning. Naxos is a bit of a splurge and they are sticklers about reservations, but absolutely worth it!

    This is a beautiful restaurant. There was clearly a lot of thought that went into the design. It is clear that the intention of the space is to be a Restaurant and transition into a lounge based on the seating. The staff were good. Food arrived in a timely manner Drinks were delicious I recommend the Eros dart if you like a spicy drink. Starters: grilled octopus, saganaki, and Portara ceviche. All were good but the ceviche could've been better. Branzino (lavraki) was delicious! I was also told the scallops and risotto- Htenia was tasty.

    Naxos offers a beautiful blend of Greek inspiration with a Latin twist in a space that feels modern, elevated, and thoughtfully designed. We started with the Thalassa salmon tiradito and oktapodi (octopus) both fresh and well-balanced. The Anra pita (lamb empanadas in puffy pastry with mojo verde) was rich and comforting, while the Htenia stood out with perfectly cooked sea scallops over creamy risotto and oyster mushrooms. For drinks, we tried Poseidon's Breeze and Theseus Escape. Both were flavorful, refreshing, and well-crafted, though on the lighter side alcohol wise. Great for sipping and enjoying the flavors, but don't expect to leave with a buzz. Dessert ended on a lovely note with the pistachio tres leches, a delicious and creative twist on the classic.

    Made reservations for 3 on a weekend for 5:30pm. Restaurant is very spacious, has good ambiance, it can get a bit dim. There is a photo spot right by the restrooms by the alcove. Honestly, photo spots are everywhere in the restaurant. For appetizers we ordered tartar: the chip was too thin to hold everything but it does not affect the taste of the dish. Ceviche: it was more than we expected and tastes really fresh. Octopus: it was just one tentacle, not a fan but one of my friend loved it. The texture was like chewy chicken breast. Hummus: it was good!! It would be nice if they warmed up the pita breads. We also got greek fries on the side. It was thick and good! For main dish, we ordered halibut and lamb chop. Halibut comes with fingerling potatoes and tomatoes. Lamb chops was three pieces and it comes with a half lemon with rosemary as a decor. As we were about to pay, we noticed that they already included tips in the bill. Make sure to check the bill before paying extra!

    If you're looking for a beautiful dinner spot in Williamsburg, Naxos (right across the street from Fushimi) is definitely worth checking out -- just manage your expectations if you're going on a Thursday expecting a full-on "ladies night" vibe. We were under the impression that the place was fully booked because Resy showed no availability the day of. Turns out that wasn't the case -- I called and was able to snag a reservation pretty easily. When we arrived, there were a few tables celebrating birthdays and some date nights happening, but plenty of open tables as well. It wasn't dead silent, but it also wasn't the lively, packed energy we were anticipating. The music, however, was great -- a mix that matched the Greek and Latin fusion aesthetic perfectly. Let's start with the ambiance: absolutely beautiful. The space feels upscale yet warm -- soft lighting, earthy tones, elegant décor that makes it feel like you're dining somewhere along the Mediterranean coast. It's a stunning setting for a date night or celebration. Now for the food -- which truly delivered. We started with two rounds of the Ero's Dart cocktail. It's fruity upfront with a subtle spice that sneaks in at the end -- refreshing, slightly flirty, and easy to drink. That said, the drinks were served in what felt like half-filled glasses, which was disappointing considering they're $20 each. For that price point, you expect a fuller pour. For appetizers, we ordered the Naxos Crisps and the Horiatiki Salad. The Naxos Crisps were addicting -- thin, crispy slices layered with creamy spreads and bright Mediterranean flavors. The texture contrast was perfect: crunchy, creamy, and slightly tangy all at once. The Horiatiki Salad was incredibly fresh -- juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, briny olives, and thick slabs of feta that were rich and creamy without being overpowering. It was dressed simply but perfectly, letting the quality of the ingredients shine. For mains, the standout was the Stefado -- chef's kiss. The meat was unbelievably tender, literally falling off the bone, slow-braised to perfection in a deeply rich, aromatic sauce with warm spices and a subtle sweetness. It was comforting and flavorful without being heavy. You can tell it was cooked with patience and intention. We also ordered the Kotopoulo with a side of asparagus. The chicken was juicy with beautifully crisped skin and seasoned all the way through. It had that perfect balance of char and tenderness. The asparagus was cooked just right -- vibrant green, still slightly crisp, and lightly seasoned to complement the dish rather than overpower it. They didn't have the N.Y. Strip available that evening and were offering Wagyu instead, which was a noticeable swap. Not necessarily a bad thing, but something to keep in mind if you go in expecting specific cuts and price point. Service was truly one of the highlights of the night. Matthew and Ela were amazing -- attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made us feel taken care of without hovering. Just a heads up when reviewing your bill: there is an automatic 18% guest gratuity already included. You're absolutely welcome to tip more (which we felt Matthew and Ela deserved), but be mindful so you're not surprised. Also note that tips are shared among the staff and don't go directly to your specific waiter or waitress. Overall, it was a great experience. The food was flavorful and beautifully prepared, the ambiance was stunning, and the service was top-tier. We just wished the energy in the room matched the vibe the space deserves. If it had been a bit more lively, it would have been a perfect night. Still, definitely a spot worth trying in Williamsburg.

    Interior

    Food was amazing, very beautiful interior my server was Segundo 10/10!! Would definitely recommend for birthday

    The problem with these new establishments is that they are money hungry and make everything an issue. It was my birthday and I booked a reservation for 4 people. I got there 10 minutes before my reservation time and was told that they cannot sit me until the entire party is there. Mind you it's just FOUR of us and they were five minutes away. Anyways when everybody arrived they still took a while to seat us even though it was a Wednesday and NAXOS was empty. Only two other tables were dining. I am a licensed baker and made my own cake they stated that there was a $7 PER PERSON "cake cutting fee". Definitely not for a cake I slaved to make the morning of my special day. To me that was insane so I put the cake back in the car. Then we were taking pictures and a Hispanic man (I'm not sure if this was the manager or supervisor) came over with a nasty demeanor and told us verbatim that "this is not how they do things here, they do business first and how we have to order our food before taking pictures". Now I could understand if it was the weekend and the restaurant was packed so the kitchen was backed up or going to close soon but none of this was the case. It was 7 pm on a Wednesday be so forreal. That turnt me off so badly that I left and went across the street to fushimi! Had a lovely time, amazing service and no "cake cutting fee". The decor is nice inside but not worth it for the poor service and attitudes you have to deal with. Please learn how to interact with your customers, have some empathy and decorum.

    Second visit and I couldn't be more disappointed. The service was lackluster and the food was decent at best. While the appetizers were okay, I ended up ordering the branzino which was extremely dry and over-cooked. To make matters worse, the waiter initially brought an older menu with the incorrect prices so imagine my surprise when the bill comes and my entree is $16 higher than the listed price. The entire ordeal left a very bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately, this will likely be my last visit.

    What a stunning addition to the Brooklyn dining scene. I came here last night with a group of 10 to celebrate my sister's birthday, and everything was amazing from start to finish. First, the ambiance and architecture are absolutely beautiful and really set the tone for the evening. Despite us being a larger group and the restaurant being packed on a Saturday night, the service was prompt, attentive, and seamless. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Every dish that landed on our table, from appetizers to main courses and dessert, was executed perfectly. I highly recommend making a visit here. It's the perfect spot for celebrations, group dinners, or a special night out.

    The aesthetic matches the taste here as both are amazing. The service was exceptional. I left here full and satisfied and would definitely come back.

    This place opened around two months ago so it's still fairly new. The service was top notch and the food was great too. They even had belly dancers perform and they went around the entire restaurant being interactive with the diners. They had coat check at the front too. When we arrived around 8pm, the belly dancers greeted us. What you see from the outside is totally different from what you'll see in the inside. It has a very spacious interior and it felt like you were transported to Greece.

The pita chips were crispy and nicely seasoned with herbs, while the moussaka was rich, hearty, and packed with layers of bold Mediterranean flavors. The crispy fries with garlic oil were another hit. The cocktails were creative and impressive, and we ended with the Galaktoboureko for dessert. The creamy semolina custard wrapped in phyllo was delicious, although a little sweet for my taste. Next time, I'd probably go for the Loukoumades with Nutella pistachio sauce instead. Athena is a quaint little place with friendly staff like Stavros (I hope that's how he spells it). For an appetizer, we ordered the dip trio with hummus (which was so creamy and delicious), spicy whipped feta, and tzatziki, which was honestly the star of the trio. Stavros was also kind enough to bring us more pita bread to finish our dips! I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki, and it was amazing. Juicy and sizable cuts of lamb dipped in more tzatziki on top of a bed of fluffy rice pilaf. It's a hefty plate so I only ate about half and took the rest back to my hotel. I hope I can eat the other half before I leave! I'm also hoping there's a place in Raleigh, where I live, that can match this experience. What's not pictured is the baklava dessert, which was quickly demolished by the three of us. It was originally meant for me only, but my partner and his best friend couldn't resist multiple bites. If you love Mediterranean food and you're in New York, add this place to your list. Well worth the trip. And also ask about the "Windex" shots (;

I gave as good as I got -- this is New York where people you yell at yell back -- and he hung up. I cancelled the order. So I suggest that if you want to eat at Athena, go to the restaurant.
