Alot of places, especially trending ones like this one are strictly hype. I will say, everything about Sei Less was divine. The ambiance, the food, the service, the drinks. I took my cousin out for her birthday back in April and I we were not disappointed. I hadn't even finished my meal and I already said I was coming back. We had the salt and pepper shrimp, black prawns, shrimp fried rice, and bok choy to share. the portions of rice are hefty enough to share, but if you a big dawg help yourself to the full serving. We had the Vanilla Creme Brulee for dessert which we shared and it was just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. Nothing was overpowered. Like I said, i will be back at some point. The food was fresh and good quality. They get two thumbs up from me!! If you love Asian cuisine, you will not be disappointed! Next time your friends ask if you want to go eat somewhere, Sei Less!

My cousin told me about this restaurant and based on the reviews that I saw on here, Google, and Instagram, I was down to try. When it comes to ambience, this place checks off every box. I loved the decor, lighting, furniture, and music. It's very spacious, and I really liked that they have separate areas for dining, large groups, and if you want do hookah. Our server was great and tried to accommodate as best as he could. We were very disappointed with the food. I was bummed they were out of the oxtail eggrolls. The items we ordered lacked flavor and just didn't hit. We ordered the chicken satay, the peanut sauce was a bit too thick and in our opinion didn't compliment the chicken and the chicken tasted pretty greasy. I ordered the shrimp dumplings and really enjoyed those. I also ordered the sea bass. It was a bit bland and the rice that was served on the side was hard. My cousin enjoyed the spice kung pao chicken. For drinks, we ordered the sidecar and lychee martini. I thought my drink was pretty good. If I'm ever in the area again, I think I would try it again just to see if I didn't choose the right options.

All you gotta do is, SEI LESS!! *Floetry cadance! OMFG let me start by saying how amazing the service was! They knew what I needed before I even asked, my cup was empty never, they kept the Shirley Temps coming! For starters me and the Mrs dined on some perfectly executed ribs and oxtail egg rolls. Food was so good I wish I can eat it in a never ending time loop! Better yet in boomerang fashion so I can eat the same bite over and over and over and over. For the main I had the filet mignon beef and broccoli, meat was so tender it slid down my throat effortlessly no freaky! Ifey had the lobster garlic noodles in their special Sei Less! The romantic ambiance and vibe really made the food taste that much better, and made me a little frisky! Good food just does something to me! To end the perfect meal we had the Yuzi cheesecake! Zero complaints! Sei less left me speechless!! Go now!!!!

It's restaurant week in nyc, and that means of course to try some really expensive Asian food lol. Seiless is the newest hotspot in the city, and i can see why. First, the ambiance in this place is super gorgeous! Talk about instagram and tik tok favorable. They had so many places for photos for your timeline. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. 10/10 for decor alone. The service, at the bar.... I give them a 6/10 for bar service. I was awaiting my friend to join me so i sat at the bar for about 20 mins, and it was the hardest time trying to grab the attention of the bartender. She was chatting away with her people, and didn't really notice me until i had to physically wave my arms in the air for her to serve me. Once my friend arrived, i went to the hostess to inform her of my parties arrival, and not so long after she whisked us to our table. Our server was amazing for the table. He was very attentive. He made sure to check in on us a few times. We were heavy in girl talk so he was polite to not interrupt but also to move things along as they should. We ordered strictly off of the restaurant week menu. Which has some good options for $45. We ordered the chicken satay with peanut sauce, fried chicken wontons in sweet chili sauce, for appetizers. For entrees, we ordered the Beijing chicken with candied walnuts, and the black prawns which were in a black bean sauce. It also came with a side of white rice each for both, and for dessert we both ordered a crème brûlée. For drinks, which are $22 each, we had a lychee martini and a lemon drop. Both of them were great. All in all, i enjoyed my time here. The food was good, the chicken was crispy, and the chicken satay was nice and flavorful. The dessert was awesome. That was mine and my friends first time having that and we enjoyed it. The drinks were good too. We stuck with 1 drink each. We were heading for drinks later that evening that we already pre purchased. So $22 for each drink wasn't happening. Super cute spot tho. I'm giving it a 3.5/5. Will i return again, i feel like once you been to one, all the rest are truly the same. Same food, same cute vibe. Essentially, the same menu, so i might end up at panda next. You never know lol. This place was SO GOOD! From the ambiance, to the presentation, and most importantly - the food and portion size. DEFINITELY going back to Sei Less the very next time I'm in NYC. The service was also quick and friendly, capping off a great night of even greater eats.

My husband and I came here for our 1 year wedding anniversary dinner and we were both satisfied. We had a reservation for 8pm and were seated immediately. It also wasn't crowded, but it started to fill up a bit as the night progressed. The ambiance is upscale chic and they had 90s-2000's R&B playing which is right up my alley. I also appreciate that the volume was at an appropriate level to allow for table conversation. We started with the "Sei Less Drink More" cocktail (very passion fruit forward) and cucumber cooler which my husband ordered as a mocktail. The drinks were pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. For appetizers, we had the tempura rock shrimp and Peking duck spring rolls, which were both really tasty. For the main course, we had the lobster fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and black pepper steak. All were flavorful, but my only gripe was that my steak didn't come out super hot like the other items. Within a couple of minutes it was barely warm. I also felt like the sauce was a bit thick for my taste. Our waiter was attentive and personable, which was nice. This restaurant is expensive and gratuity is included, so no extra tip is necessary. Overall experience was good, but it's a one and done kind of place.

The drinks were excellent -- I had an espresso martini with Baileys and it was perfectly made. The yellowtail was fresh and good quality, though it wasn't served in the typical ponzu-style sauce I'm used to, so it tasted different than expected (not bad, just unexpected). The spring salad was delicious, and the chicken lettuce cups were amazing -- definitely a standout. The rock shrimp was also delicious, and both the fried rice and lo mein were very good. I wasn't a big fan of the fried dumplings; they didn't have much flavor in my opinion. I also ordered the filet mignon -- it looked more well-done when it came out, but it was actually cooked perfectly medium to medium-plus. Overall, a great experience with a few highlights and only a small miss.

The food is great! I enjoyed the proportions and the ambience is enchanting. If you enjoy a good authentic Asian meal I'd checked this place out. The service is great as well the waitresses and waiters as well as a host are all very nice and welcoming. This place is a bit pricey though. I didn't even get a full course meal yet my meal came up to $310 . It was worth the experience nonetheless.

This place is one of the few places in NYC right now that is actually worth the hype. In terms of the location, it's weird because it's not where the GPS will tell you it's actually around the corner. Of course there is like no parking you will have to pay to park in a garage however the ambiance inside is so cute. Love the decor you have to go up a few steps though since the restaurant is upstairs. Everybody was attentive and nice from the waiter to the hostess. Loved the Saketini drink and all food was fresh. They even had creme brûlée and the salt and pepper prawns were amazing. I will be back!

Love sei less. It's always a vibe. The food is great and the drinks are top tier. I'm always going to get the lychee martini. It's creamy, balanced and worth the calories. The lemon drop my other go to was good as well. The chicken satay I'm always going to get because the peanut sauce is gonna do it for me every time. Sei less is perfect for all occasions !

The dumplings were melt in the mouth. The music straight up set the mood .The service was excellent. The lo main was sweet to my liking so the server immediately changed it for another dish . A banging spot in midtown Manhattan that is open till late.

Okay, I'm going to give a heads up that I have very few pictures to share, because when the food came it was The Hunger Games, y'all. Went with a group of 14 or so, and we sat in the side room that was big enough it could have likely seated up to 20 or 25. This size was perfect. After cocktails, we shared a bunch of different appetizers -- chicken satay, a variety of dumplings, spring rolls. Everything was excellent, although I will say I didn't love the chicken satay. It was breaded and the peanut sauce tasted more buttery than peanutty. Don't get me wrong -- I still ate it, I'm not an ANIMAL... So it was good, just not what I was used to. Main courses? Two words for you: SESAME CHICKEN. This is not your average, hole-in-the-wall, Chinese takeout place sesame chicken (which is still pretty darn good) -- it was light, the chicken was tender, and the sauce had something addictive in it, not sure what it was, but I couldn't stop eating it. We also had the pepper beef which was excellent -- again, extremely tender beef, with a sauce that had a lovely kick to it. I had only a little bit of the noodles and fried rice that were circulated. I was definitely getting my protein on! Find a way, somehow, someway, to save room for dessert. How can an Asian fusion restaurant also be an outstanding bakery? Not sure whether they get their desserts from outside or make them themselves, but again, we circulated two platters of small desserts that they cut up for us so we could have a small piece of each. Cheesecake, strawberry tart, creme brûlée that was more like a cross between cheesecake and a traditional creme brûlée, and a magical chocolate THING whose name was, I think, "Oh my god this is so good." I cannot wait to return to this restaurant. It's an oasis of deliciousness with a speakeasy feel. Highly recommend!

Sei Less had been on my NYC dining list for a while because I always hear the rapper Fabolous rave about it, so I had to see what the hype was about. Ironically, Fabolous and Maino ended up dining there the same night, I was just missing Jim Jones and Dave East! Maino was generous to take a picture with my friend I started with the French Kiss cocktail, and it definitely lived up to its name, it was strong in the best way. The lobster spoon, lobster mai sui, bok choy, and fried rice were all delicious, with every dish well-seasoned and flavorful. Service was a little on the slower side, but the food, atmosphere, and unexpected celebrity sightings made up for it. If you're looking for a trendy NYC spot with great food and a lively vibe, Sei Less is worth the visit. read more

I had a great experience at Sei Less! We were seated immediately, and our server checked on us frequently to make sure everything was perfect, which it was. We ordered the chicken satay, beef, shrimp, broccoli, rice, and salad. Everything was delicious, and the food came out quickly. The chicken satay especially stood out. It reminded me of Philippe Chow's chicken satay, which is a huge compliment. Between the attentive service, fast kitchen, and flavorful food, this was an excellent dining experience. All I can say is WOW. A friend of Joe's recommended Sei Less, as they know he loves him some good Asian fusion. We arrived a little early for our reso but they promptly seated us. The restaurant definitely has a cool vibe and is very clean. Our server, Ivo, was amazing from the start; prompt and friendly service. For starters we shared the oxtail spring rolls, spare ribs, and lobster spoons. Joe said it best when he said "I don't want any other oxtail. The spring rolls were tender and flavorful and I loved the dipping sauce they came with. Those ribs?! *chefs kiss* we must have made a scene while eating them because as another table was leaving, they stopped to ask us how the ribs were and the regret they had after seeing them arrive at our table. Now, those lobster spoons?? Mm mm MM! The beurre blanc the lobster sat in was buttery and super tasty, but that wasn't even the best lobster dish I ended up having. My our entrees I got the Sei Less Signature Lobster Noodles and Joe got the Filet Mignon and Broccoli. Good lord those noodles were delicious. They used thick udon, the WHOLE lobster, and the sauce that everything sat in was so rich. I also couldn't get over how beautiful this dish was. Joe's filet was exactly what you'd expect; tender and full of flavor. This is what you wish they could serve when you order beef and broccoli at your local Chinese spot lol! & you know we always have to end with a little treat. We kept it modest and went with the yuzu cheesecake served with a lychee ice cream. The lychee ice cream was such a nice mild balance to the richness of the cheesecake. There was also a yummy brittle served with the dessert that gave a nice bite to the whole dish. Simple delicious. I know this will not be our last visit. It is 6 am the next morning as I write this, and all I can think about is getting to my leftovers later today! read more

I dined here on a Sunday evening with a large party. We were given a private room. The restaurant is very large with various seating areas. For large parties, family style menu provided. If there are any allergies present, a separate service will be cooked to accommodate. Food choices were good a flavorful. Good drinks and fast service. Very accommodating read more

It was difficult to find the entered but once we got in the space was beautifully decorated ans romantically lit. Went at opening on a Friday night while visiting friends . Jennifer our server was spectacular, kind, and knowledgeable with recs. We had two issues with the food that the manager handled with care. The duck spring rolls were my favorite! Sei Less has a nice ambiance and is definitely a more high end/pricey place. I got the hot and sour soup to start and it was good and came in a large quantity for an appetizer. It tasted really good with white rice. The vegetable spring rolls were okay and not very crispy, I wouldn't get them again. The edemame was really good. I also got the vegetable dumplings and veggie Lo mein. I was happy with the amount of vegetarian options on the menu. The Lo mein was pretty good but I didn't love the dumplings. Beautiful restaurant where you may spot a celebrity. Food and service were really good and prices and portions were actually proportionate in my opinion. Kung pao chicken w/jasmine rice-menu says with peanuts (traditional) however it came out with sesame seed glazed walnuts which was different for me, but a nice counter to the spice of the chicken. Really tasty, just a smidge salty Lobster spring rolls-really delicious King crab fried rice-delicious but king crab was a little hard to find and overall a smidge salty Shrimp lettuce wraps-delicious and didn't skimp on the shrimp Will most definitely return 9/10 read more

Came here with a friend for dinner and a little celebration--per usual, he picked the spot (and did not disappoint). I arrived a bit ahead of our reservation, so I grabbed a seat at the bar to wait, sipping on a beer. Once we were seated, our server greeted us right away--friendly, attentive, and efficient. Now, onto the good stuff: the food was absolutely delicious. The standout for me? The Short Rib Bao Buns--perfectly tender meat wrapped in pillowy-soft buns with just the right balance of richness and flavor. Everything we ordered was thoughtfully prepared, and what really impressed me was how clean and light the dishes tasted. Given the fusion-Asian influence, I expected heavier, oil-forward fare--especially with the fried items--but that wasn't the case at all. Each dish was flavorful without feeling greasy or overdone. The space itself has a cozy, intimate vibe--ideal for date nights or small group dinners--and the playlist added a nice touch to the overall ambiance. One heads-up: they include gratuity automatically in the bill, so keep an eye out to avoid double-tipping (my friend almost did!). The food at Sei Less was yummy. I went to Sei Less during lunch time and ordered the New York week lunch special $30 meal. An appetizer and an entree. I ordered the chicken wontons and the vegetable lo mein. The textured of the chicken wontons were crispy, just to my liking. The vegetable lo mein had lots of vegetables which I greatly enjoyed. The service was great. It wasn't busy as the weather the day I went wasn't the greatest weather day. I would come again to Sei Less, yummy food and beautiful atmosphere. 10/10 restaurant recommendation read more

The food was delicious! I would definitely be back! The wait to be seen once seated took a while. My friend had to get up from the table to go get a waiter to take our drink order. Then, had to get the waiter again to come take our meal order. Aside from that, the food was great! The vibe was dark with nice music. Great for a date. read more

i have been wanting to patronize this restaurant for some time now as it has seem to be the "it" spot since opening. But, unfortunately, I was disappointed. I made a reservation for an early dinner before a show on a Monday night. As expected, the place was pretty empty. It was a tad bit hard to find as the scaffolding obstruct any view of the restaurant. There was a very small sign on the building that indicated to us this was the right spot. We were seated immediately and our waiter was there to pour us some water and service us. Food- 3/5... for the price paid, I expected more on the portions chicken wonton - 5/5 Filet mignon with broccoli - 2/5 (filet was tender but it stops there. The sauce used was very overpowering. So much so I could only eat two pieces of meat and two piece of broccoli. Kung Pao Chicken - 2/5 - definitely not enough POW in that chicken. Vegetable fried rice- 4/5, really good Drinks - 5/5 Had a Sidecar and it was delicious!! Service - 4/5 Though the service was top notch, i was confused on why the waiter brought out a sparkler in a cup for my birthday because we opted out of dessert. My friend took me here for restaurant week and to celebrate my birthday still. It was so nice and clean as it was my first time at the restaurant. The menu was limited but it was good nonetheless. My food was absolutely delicious. I went in for an early solo dinner for my quick trip to NYC. I ordered the salt & pepper prawns, veggie lo mein, and broccoli. It was all divine. Came here Thursday night for an early dinner with my coworkers. I've been wanting to check this place out for a while because of all the great reviews, and I'm glad to say it definitely lived up to the hype. The vibe was super cute, the food and cocktails were on point, and the service was great. The only thing that really missed the mark was the sweet and sour chicken, it was honestly so bad we had to send it back. But everything else we ordered was amazing, so no complaints there. It's definitely an upscale spot, and I've heard they do enforce the dress code, especially on weekends. I'd totally recommend it for a date night, it gives off that sexy, grown-up vibe. We decided to try this restaurant on a Friday evening around 9PM. There is street parking across from the restaurant and a parking garage directly next door to the restaurant. Arriving, there was a bouncer or security (?) out front who quite literally did nothing. He was leaning up against the door and barely made eye contact. Did not even pretending to enforce the dress code or appear to care who/what we were doing. I asked "is this Sei-Less?" as there were no obvious signs at the entrance and he respond "yeah", grudgingly, as if we were interrupting his evening and still not looking at us or even opened the door for us! Totally unprofessional and a little shocking for such a seemingly "upscale" place; so -1 star for that. Ambiance: dim-lighting, romantic but I can see this being a good spot for a girls/guys night. They played a lot of Hip-Hop and Afrobeats which seemed like an odd choice as the vibe is certainly more upscale/romantic than bar/lounge. However, the general crowd is early to mid-20s. I did see some older patrons but definitely catering more towards the college-age/GenZ/Millennial crowd. Many empty tables, but a lot more people started coming in around 10-11 PM. Food: Delicious. That's it. Delicious. We had the Shrimp and Vegetable dumplings. Shrimp dumplings had a large amount of shrimp inside, the dough was just right. Vegetable dumplings were a vibrant green color with fresh, crisp veggies inside. Then we got the Kung Pao chicken which had a great amount of white meat, crispy batter and the spice was just right in my opinion. Sweet and Sour chicken was also good, not too sweet with fresh fruit on the plate. Vegetable fried rice was flavorful and just enough to split between two people. Same thing with the Lo-Mein (we added almost all the protein options) and was absolutely delicious. Nothing was too greasy, it was just right. Drink: I just had the Lychee Martini. Beautifully presented but admittedly surprised at the creamy/milky texture. I don't recall them being so milky at other establishments? But it was okay - I've had better. Decent amount of alcohol. Service: Attentive, fast, friendly. We never found ourselves looking for our waiter - he was always right there and just in time to clear the table, fill waters, etc. The lovely ladies at the front of the house were a delight to speak to. Couldn't complain at all. All of the staff (except the bouncer/security guy) were welcoming and seemed genuinely happy to have us. I want to Sei Less for restaurant week with my friend. I actually loved the food. The drinks were OK, but they weren't bad. My waiter was nice. I had the vegetable lo mein chicken satay, which is always my favorite and she had the Kung cow chicken and we both just shared with each other just so we put all taste how it was and we had the crème brûlée as for dessert. I had a good experience. The music is good as well. I just hate that they would circle around the table to pick up the plates, so that kind of felt like we were rushing to eat to give them a plate the ambience is really nice. Sei less is definitely the spot, & I know people be hyping it up cause the celebrities be out there but they definitely do hold their name up. Came back here after visiting last year for the first time. We loved it last year. Good food and service. This year a little different. Food was ok ( not as good as we once had ). But the service was awful. We came here for our 28th wedding anniversary because my wife liked it so much last time . We ordered apps. Got 1 refill on drinks which we had to flag them down and ask for . We were there for almost 1hr and 30 min and our waiter had still not come to ask if we wanted to order entrees . After waiting and no one coming back we flagged someone down to get our bill and we left and ordered pizza. Huge disappointment and can say we will def not be back. I order from Amber 2-3 times a month and keep coming back! Especially love their specialty rolls, which are inventive, delicious, and filling. Love having this place in the neighborhood!

The lamb was absolutely flavorful and full of delicious spices. This reminded me of what I've had in Dubai. Very rich in flavor and just the perfect amount of spices. But the rice was your average rice. Pita was deliciously soft and pillowy which complemented the white sauce. Chicken was ok. had an OK texture; nothing life changing. lamb was fantastic, and fries were just fries (nothing memorable). For a NYC experience, a 1-time, 50 minute wait is acceptable. And, for $13, that's pretty cheap for the amount of food you get. I would eat it again if the line was 5 minutes. Otherwise, I'm positive you will find similar food/better food elsewhere.

The service was great; they drew the cutest card when they found out it was my brother's birthday and let us bring a cake. And they also offered hair ties to the people with long hair. You order through an iPad which has a beautiful menu.

My wife came from California and visited Sei Less while in New York for Valentine's Day, and unfortunately, it was a big mistake. Despite the website stating a "casual elegant" dress code, about a quarter of the male guests were wearing sports team hats and dressed as if they were heading to the mall or a backyard party. The atmosphere was disappointing, music was blasting, yet awkwardly cut out for several seconds between songs, which made the vibe feel disjointed. Someone should adjust the crossfade settings on their streaming service. As for the food, it was overpriced and mediocre at best. Service was just okay, and the drinks were forgettable. Our two entrées took about 45 minutes to arrive, which felt excessive. The only highlight was spending time with our family who lives in NYC, but the overall experience at Sei Less was underwhelming. When we first arrived, the restaurant was fairly quiet, but it gradually filled up with guests celebrating birthdays and couples enjoying a night out and it's easy to see why. The moment you walk in, you're instantly greeted by great music, an amazing vibe, and incredibly warm and welcoming staff. The food was absolutely outstanding you could truly taste the freshness in every dish. We loved every bite and would recommend it without hesitation: a solid 10 out of 10!
