We stopped to watch our team's football game on our way back to New York City and we treated with racist comments and disrespect from the patrons and bar owner. 5 Stars for service. The portions were huge (go hungry). We had wings & chips (w/ cheese & bacon). For dinner- the chicken Marsala; grilled chess & tomato soup. (Plenty came home with us.) They even sang happy birthday to my friend for his birthday- with a candle in the choc molten cake. *I brought my service dog & first they mentioned they might have to move us (outside w/ a heat lamp). I mentioned the law and that was the end of it. I mention this because they were so kind and accommodating. They didn't know the law and adapted. My dog laid under the table the whole time. I had been humiliated earlier in the day by the manager of another restaurant. This was the exact opposite experience. Our first visit to your new location was this past Friday and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. Our waitress was attentive and professional and very, very personable. The salads and the pizzas were excellent, and we were pleased to note that the on-duty manager even stopped by to inquire how our experience was. The pizzas were hot and delicious and served very quickly - even though it was Friday night and packed. The only thing I'd say wasn't a complete hit was my vodka martini. It arrived as a very dirty martini with an excess of olive juice. But in the scheme of things, it wasn't a total evening killer. Just please give your bartender a nudge that their are purists out here who notice these things. Please also consider an awning over your front door for inclement weather. Used to go to Mirabella all the time at the old location when I lived in Saugerties, and liked it...reasonably priced eats and the place to go for cheap beer and pizza slices in the area, as well as good Italian dishes. While nothing amazing, it always was decent. Went there the other evening with my boyfriend and got boneless wings, a slice of pizza each and a beer on the way home from a wake. The wings (we'd asked for them medium sauce) were really VERY spicy (while we usually enjoy some heat, this was overkill for a Medium sauce)..enough that we had to ask for extra blue cheese to help cool them down. This was tricky as trying to get our server's attention was difficult, although once we did she promptly brought more blue cheese. The pizza on the other hand was horrible! Cheap cheese, almost no sauce and underdone to the point of being inedible on my part. The beers (draft) had gone up in price substantially as well, although there was a nice selection of them. We were sorely disappointed and quite honestly don't know that we'd give them another shot. Sad that moving into a bigger nicer space means that the quality of the food has to suffer to this degree. read more

Wife and I went there for some dinner. I got the bacon-blue-ring burger with chili cheese fries and the wife order their weekly special of chicken cordon blue sandwich. She got a salad instead of fries and it was the size of a full size side salad as opposed to a tiny one other places throw together on the side of an entree plate. Rather impressed with that as well as the awesome amount of bacon you get with the burger. Everything had great flavor and food came out really fast even though it was packed on a Friday night. This place has really gone downhill. It used to be one of the best bars to go in the Village for food and drinks but you can tell the quality of everything has decreased dramatically. I normally stick to beer when I get a drink so it'd be unfair to judge based on their drinks... As for food, it's pretty terrible now. They used to have delicious pizza but lately I've found the sauce to taste bland and tinny and the cheese is poor quality and barely palatable. I've ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup a few times but the last time I ordered it, the sandwich itself was awful and sopping in grease. The soup was so salty that after one spoonful, I pushed it away. The whole meal left me feeling ill and unsatisfied. The establishment itself is pretty filthy and I'm not quite sure what's going on as far as the decor - sports bar meets license plate art display meets restaurant? I certainly wouldn't consider it very family friendly. I find that when you're going here to sit down and enjoy a meal, you aren't quite sure where to go once you walk into the main/bar room. The whole layout is a bit off. They used to run good specials, especially during football season but I'm not sure that they do that anymore. It's a shame. My husband and I ventured up to Saugerties tonight for some outdoor dining at Diamond Mills, but after a looooong, awkward wait to be seated, we left and decided to try this place. Our initial contact was with a sweet young hostess who explained that they had just gotten slammed with business, so our waiter might be awhile. Nice of her to let us know, and we were seated immediately. Our waiter arrived promptly, and while a little harried from the rush, he still managed to take our order and deliver our meals in a perfectly acceptable time frame. As for the food, our house salads were large and quite good. My husband was happy with his zuppa di pesce, and my cheese ravioli was good as well. We were especially pleased that they had Montepulciano by the glass for my husband, and an interesting black cherry mojito with fresh raspberries for me. An interesting cocktail menu and wine list are always a plus. We were too full for dessert, but we left happy, and probably saved $100 by coming here instead. We mentioned to our waiter Michael and the young hostess that we'd left the other restaurant and were pleased to stumble onto Mirabella quite by chance. Their grace under pressure and attentive customer service went a long way toward making our dinner out a success tonight despite the sorry start elsewhere. Inside music blaring is obnoxious. You need to decide whether you're a restaurant or loud bar. No table inside was tolerable The outside seating was great, despite it's in the alley. Even a weak house or garden salad includes a minimum of tomatoes & cucumbers or it's NOT a house salad - its a Caesar salad with different dressing. Don't offer a choice if you don't have one. And don't add the grated cheese to my Parmesean. That's my role. And wait staff should ask if I want more (I had too much already) Service was initially good. But became pushy to flip the table though it was not busy at all. I wanted to relax and enjoy myself Overall I'd consider returning. But I found these things quite obnoxious. read more

Saugerties is a trip, well worth the hour and a half ride north from NYC. A heady mix of neighborhood, artsy, funky and day-tripper crowds enjoying book shops, boutiques and galleries with low rents and the freedom to play around. Don't pass by Mirabella's - a lively, local color pizzeria with great burgers and a healthy dollop of real folks having a good time. My wife and I stopped there this past weekend looking for a bite and a a sip on our way to New Paltz. Appetizer was crabmeat-stuffed calamari with a sensational roasted red pepper side. My wife had a burger (out of this world blue cheese salad side) and I had fried calamari. Enjoy the people here and don't get too fancy. Wine choices could use some work. Beer list and bar offerings are solid. We ate and drank well for $50 (tip included) and had a wonderful conversation with a very personable server while people-watching. That says it all! read more

My husband and I came here Sunday night for a pizza, when we received the menus I had asked where is your pizzas? Was told we only have pizza on Sunday and Monday nights, was told only had cheese pizzas, we we order a cheese pizza and all I can say is don't waste your money. It was terrible! The crust was a frozen crust, the tomato sauce was straight out of a can, topped off with cheese. When the pizza came out of the oven they sprinkled Oregano in the center of the pie. Disgusting!!!!!! The waitress approached our table, sweat dropping on her face as she asked us what we wanted to drink....no introduction, no smile, no expression. After about a good 20 minute wait of listening to her & the other waitress gossip in a completely empty dinig room, we decided to go to the bar to finish our drinks & decide on another place to eat. Here...the ridiculously bad customer service continued. Long beautiful bar with plenty of space to enjoy your favorite drink. Menu has a great selection of italian-american options to choose from and after having most of this menu I can honestly say they are all very satisfying. Try the "Murphs lame chicken". The new location is awesome I wish the service was as good as good as the place looks, went there for lunch with coworkers we stood around for few minutes until we sat ourselves the waitress was not friendly at all she took forever to ask if we wanted something to drink, tables were sticky after ordering food took about half hour to come out even thought the place wasn't that busy when I got my burger I was less than happy this is by far the worst burger I have had it looked like they grilled it and just threw it in between a hard roll that was far from fresh it was so cold and it tasted like it had been seating in a plastic bag all week the waitress never came by to ask how everything was finally I wave at her and in a friendly manner I let her know about not liking my food she snatched my plate from the table didn't say I'm sorry would you like something else she just took it and left me without even offering anything else all I got was we took it off your bill., this is a place I will never come back just because of the poor service they have the is so many places to choose from Stela's across the street best food and service is great regardless of how busy they are. read more

This reminds me of a trattoria in Rome (the food has that home cooked feel, which is a good thing.) Bar can be a little loud when wanting to eat dinner, which is probably why they are moving into a larger establishment, which I am looking forward to. Went there 10/05/14. Only for a light dinner. Burgers were over cooked and dry. Wings were not cooked well. Milk for coffee was going sour, had to get it replaced. My dish on the table was not clean from the get go. Gave it back but never got it replaced probable because the waitress was too busy in the bar with other customers.Oh I forgot to mention the flies, we could not eat in piece! My Waitress was running mainly from handling customers in bar area to dining room. Service was NOT good. Management seems to be non-existant and or very inexperienced. This was my first time eating at this restaurant and will probably be the last. Everything was going well until my entree arrived. I ordered the lobster and shrimp ravioli. I took one bit of the ravioli and it tasted extremely fishy, like something was off. I had a friend take a bit and she too agreed that it didn't taste right. So I sent my meal back to the kitchen because I couldn't afford to eat any more of it and risk an allergic reaction which I only get from seafood if it's off. My waitress returned and asked if I wanted anything else and I politely declined and she returned to the kitchen. When she returned to my table she informed me that the chef stated that there wasn't anything wrong with that dish and that they were not going to credit my meal. I could order something else to either eat there or take home. When I asked if the manager or the owner was there I was told they were but then when I asked to speak with one of them then they were not there. So I had to pay for a meal that I did not eat and will never recommend to my friends to eat there. If this is their policy then it needs to be clearly stated to the customer before they order not afterwards. read more
