I'm a sucker for desserts with alcohol in it: King's Hawaiian's Havana Square, Dolce Monachelli's Italian Butter Rum cake & Haagen-Dazs' Rum Raisin immediately come to mind. My mom picked up desserts from Mirabelle and I was impressed with the selection of cakes that she picked up from this cafe. I liked them all especially the hazlenut, but the Amaretto cake was the one I'll get the next time I am in town! It was creamy and flavorful without having an intensely almond taste that can taste fake (like extract) if done incorrectly. I love almond and the flavors here were perfectly balanced. Not overly impressed so far. We opted to sit in outside seating and someone advised us that it would be 10 minutes until ordering. We saw several servers come and go from the area and we had to flag someone down a few times to clear the dirty table and be able to place our order. Since ownership changed a year or two ago, Mirabelle is open for dinner. They also have live music Friday and Saturday nights. The outdoor seating is really fun and inside has a European cafe feel. We also pick up cakes and pastries here for our house parties. The cakes are possibly the most outstanding thing here. It's a great place to brunch as well. Negatives are that the coffee isn't that good and some of the dinner dishes are a bit bland. Also there isn't a drink menu so you have to go inside and actually look at the drink selection in order to figure out what you want. Service can be very slow sometimes. Overall you should definitely check out this restaurant. I will definitely remain a regular. read more

This place has been a hit or miss for me. Being a major pastry junkie, I came here several times for their desserts. I pretty much have tried every single cake/pastry they had to offer. The pastries were about average, not the best I've had. I would say the macarons (not macaroons) and the circular ding dong covered in ganache were the best out of their selections. The cakes were on the dry side. These are the cake slices they have in the glass, not the cakes itself. I haven't tried buying an entire cake yet. Well, one slice would be moist, but then another dry. I gave them several chances by tasting different ones on different occasions, but the majority of the time, it was disappointing. I do have to say their savory seafood crepe was phenomenal !! I wasn't expecting that at all. Now THIS is what savory tastes like! The crepe itself was on the thicker side, but it went well with the filling. It looked like it was wheat, which would explain why it was thicker. Even though the sauce was so rich, I could still taste hints of the shrimp and crab. And there were chunks of seafood, not itty bitty pieces. BF had the tuna melt, which was also surprisingly yummy. Must be all that butter they grilled the bread on. Yummo, but I could make this at home. The caramel macchiato was cafe-worthy. BF had the latte, which wasn't so great. Possibly because it came unsweetened and he didn't know how to flavor it. I would def come back for the food. But overpriced for the dry cakes and +/- pastries, give or take. It is quite hidden spot and car wash next to it can get a bit noisy. Ambiance overall is good. 5/5 Service 3/5- I was greeted and offered service right away. Server didn't seem very friendly but the cook was. Serving time was average as typical restaurants. Food 4/5 I tried the classic Benedict. I wanted to replace the bacon. Substituted didn't seem to welcoming. I'm glad I went for it. It has a lime taste to it, crunchy and very tasty. Potatoes where deep fried which I was not expecting . So first of all I love their desserts! I usually go for a cappuccino and a cake. On the off chance that I get breakfast it's always been tasty as well. My only issue with them is service is SO SLOW. I always have to go inside to request a check or some sort of other item. It is never too busy when I come but staff still seems overwhelmed. But I absolutely love the cafe otherwise. All told my bill was $75. The girl at the counter saw that one of the ghost cookies was broken amongst a ton of pristine iced cookies in the display counter. She gave me a bag with a broken cookie and I was buying them as gifts for my boyfriends kids. The food was tastier than average but I just was so turned off that after paying for all that food, I could tell the front desk girl wanted to get rid of an item that wasn't pleasing for them to display by selling it to a customer instead. I've been here several times, the food is amazing. Not many restaurants can perfect hollandaise sauce but, Mirabelle's does. It is creamy not to lemony and perfect. Another amazing delight is their coffee and desserts. My favorite is their lemon blueberry and my daughters is red velvet.. They have outdoor seating and the booths glide. They are covered so the temperature does not get to hot.. My daughter had her birthday party here a couple of years ago and they were extremely accommodating.. The wait staff are rude. They are very slow and do not apologize for the wait . The food is ok but not worth waiting an hour from the time one orders. There are a lot of nice places to eat in the area. I don't need to eat at Mirabelles! My husband and I were invited by the owner to return and give the restaurant another chance at giving us a nice meal with wonderful service. Today is Friday and we arrived at 12:15. The owner and the chef came out to greet us. We were given the meals of our choice and drinks. The server was very friendly and followed up on our meal often. This place has potential and I'm sure some have had enjoyable experiences there, however, this was not the case for us. We made a reservation for Mother's Day brunch. We had three young children in our party of 7. The tables rock but many were broken, including the one we sat at. They don't offer any kind of kids meals and they charge a fee for kids to split an adult meal. After 45 minutes of waiting for our food it started to get chilly, there was a big empty table inside so we went in and asked if we could move to that, they said yes. After we got all of our drinks, things, and kids inside someone else came over and said we couldn't sit there and offered us a table for four.....for 7 people. We moved back outside and our food came 1 hour after we ordered it. Eggs Benedict was good, pancakes were a bit dry, and the bacon was fried to a crisp. I assume they were understaffed, the waitresses were snappy with each other and it was overall not an enjoyable experience. We sat without drinks for majority of our meal. Staff did seem nice, it was just chaotic and I wish they hadnt offered reservations if they couldn't serve us in a reasonable time. By the time we left the large table inside was still empty. I may try again in the future, but not any time soon. read more

Really enjoyed our lunch here today. One walks in and sees a plethora of delicious looking pastries and desserts. For lunch, I ordered the make your own crepe. I felt kinda bad, because there is no way someone as skinny as me can finish one of these. It was ginormous. The filling was fresh, and the cheddar cheese was melted....and actually tasted of cheese. Good spinach, and the turkey inside was not dry. The whole experience at Mirabelle's is awesome, from the swinging bench seats outside, the staff and most importantly the FOOD! Our little family stops in for breakfast most of the time but we have also had lunch there enough times to know that all of their menu items are impressive. We hope to make it for dinner once the weather warms up. The baked goods and cakes are incredible. We always get a cake from Mirabelle's if we are having a party or a large family dinner. They also have individual slices available which my wife loves. If you haven't been, you don't know what you are missing out on. I don't let why there are so many negative reviews of this cute cafe. The employees were very helpful when I asked questions due to my food allergies. I was pleasantly surprised they had several gluten free options. I ordered the amaretto almond white chocolate cake. It's a good size and I feel like it is reasonable priced. I wasn't too sure about the texture on the first bite but I ate it anyway and thought it was good. It wasn't too overwhelming in almond flavor too. He would comp us a free pastry if we wanted it. What crap service is this. Rude, unapologetic, and the mgr wouldn't even give me the courtesy of speaking with me. Never going again. I cannot understand how any restaurant could consider a wait like that normal. Two people from the large group (maskless) walked in front of me (within a foot of me) to check out the food case. Then one of them went behind the counter to work - and did NOT put on a mask.
