The bed was very comfortable and the property within walking distance to great restaurants and shops.

This was one of the best dart board picks we've ever done. A spur of the moment decision to visit Solvang for the weekend and we wanted to stay in town within walking distance to everything. Mirabelle is a charming little inn with a lot of amenities, and perhaps the best is they also have a Michelin star restaurant on the premises! Staff is very nice and super accommodating, the inn is well appointed, and this time of year it was all decked out for Christmas. They offer free WiFi and a free continental breakfast The restaurant offers a three or five course dinner that is superb. Reservations are definitely recommended for dinner, as we missed out on our first night. Highly recommended!!

This was an extremely positive experience for us. We staying in Room 9 which had a view of the mountains .The room was clean and had a working air conditioner. The decor was lovely and quaint . We ate at the restaurant First and Oak connected with the hotel. It was dynamite. Also the Inn is very close to the main drag in Solvang and they offer a free wine tasting coupon. There are a few things you should know about the place : there are no phones in the room, there are stairs to climb but there is a working elevator if you require it, you can hear people above you. None of these things bothered us because it's like a Bed and Breakfast. Also people complained about the price point but anywhere else was a good $150-200 more per night. Way to go Mirabelle. We are definitely coming back.

We had a very nice stay at the Mirabelle inn which is really a bed and breakfast. We stayed in room nine which was very nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. It's a very quaint place. I would say it's like a boutique. The one negative I would say is that it's no frills and what I mean by that is no coffee maker, no phone in the room and the walls are very thin which means you hear everything. The room is very clean which to me is very important. I would stay there again if I was in the area.

We were disappointed with Room 11. The bathroom was somewhat in disrepair, with broken tiles on the floor and in the shower. There weren't any pictures of this bathroom online for good reason. I expected better at this price point (about $300/ night when we stayed). We booked room 11 because it said it had a separate staircase so we thought there was a chance it might have outdoor access which would have been a bit safer due to covid. I double and triple checked that the room was on the third floor so that we wouldn't have trouble sleeping at night from noisy neighbors above us. Unfortunately, room 11 has an interior door on the third floor, but the room itself is down a flight of stairs and actually immediately below another room that is truly on the third floor. We had someone staying above us who wore heels that were super loud late at night. The flooring must have been really thin because we even heard the cord from their phone charger moving on the ground when they would plug it in. I wouldn't have minded, if the listing had disclosed that the room wasn't actually on the third floor. We got very little sleep. There was also an odd picture of kittens with red eyes at the top of the stairwell. Interesting decor choice.

Stairs to room 5.

Perfect stay in Room 5. Each room is individually decorated. It was quite warm outside when we stayed, but our room was a perfect get-away from the heat after a long day of site-seeing.

We came to the Mirabelle Inn for an overnight getaway to Solvang and I was very pleased with our stay. This is a nice little Inn conveniently located about one block away from the main street in Solvang. You can park your car at the Inn and everything is within walking distance. We stayed in room #8 and it was very lovely and well kept. The bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub and was very spacious. This room does not have a shower, but there is a handheld shower head on the wall that you can use to bathe. Everything was very clean and there were plenty of towels. In the afternoon, they set up wine and appetizers to enjoy, and in the evening, they had tea and cookies set up in the reception area. I really liked this and thought it was a nice touch. I liked taking a cup of tea and some cookies to my room to enjoy the rest of the evening. Your overnight stay comes with free breakfast. The cake and fruit were delicious. I was not too happy with the breakfast choices of oatmeal or frittata. Neither appealed to me very much. I chose the frittata and it was just okay and a bit under cooked. But really that would be my only complaint. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There is parking behind the Inn in a small lot. I would definitely recommend the Mirabelle Inn to anyone looking for a little weekend away!

Bathroom... definitely don't want to even shower in it!

I am going to let you in on a little secret…read more... Yeah, I'm going to share with you what i THINK is the best kind of getaway, well, at least in my humble opinion. It's the kind that doesn't abruptly end, but it just sort of.... keeps on going. Let me explain. Have you ever gone on vacation and said to yourself, or to your spouse or even to your kids.... "Gee, I could have really used one more night" Or Let out the exaggerated (Ughh)... "I don't want to go back to work tomorrow, I wish we could just extend our trip by just one more day" Well... On a recent trip with my family, We INTENTIONALLY did just that. My wife booked us a 2 night stay in Paso Robles at a beautiful boutique style/chain hotel. (The Ava Hotel in Paso) (Check out my review for the deets) Usually, when we do these short, weekend trips, I work up until the day of our trip and then go back the very next day once we return... But, NOT THIS TIME! Yeah, This time, my wife intentionally told me, let's book one more night on the way home from our trip in Paso just to break up the drive home and enjoy one more day off of work and time with the fam. Heck, I've got loads of PTO and who wants to be at work anyway, so it wasn't too hard to twist my arm on this one. And just like that.... Solvang, Here we Come! Yes, the cute, quaint town of Solvang is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway or even just for a one night stay like we did. Of course, my wife, the Queen of finding the best places to stay/eat... (AND I AM THE ONE WHO IS THE "ELITE" haha) booked us a room at the Landsby hotel and it was nothing short of a treat. Here's why: The Landsby is more than just a room... Inside of a hotel... Located in the heart of this Danish town known as: SOLVANG It wasn't just, "let's build a hotel where the people can stay and explore the town while they are here". At least that's not the impression it gave me! Instead, The Landsby has a Charm about, it has Character and most of all it gives you the impression that you are in a modern-day Dutch village. But one of my favorite parts.... The Room Key, keyword, "KEY" Yeah! The room key is an actual Key!!! A metal, lock and key, just like the good 'ol days! Ain't no digital, pre-programmed, modern day, technologically advanced system like every other hotel does it.... And I liked it! And to match the old school style key... The t.v is in black and white, the internet is run on dial up and the telephone is a rotary dial..... JUST KIDDING!!!! But wouldn't that be cool! Aside from the small town European vibe that the exterior of the building gives you, once you step inside both the hotel and then your room, you are immediately transported to a place that feels welcoming, familiar and most of all comfortable. Because this was a short stay (just a one nighter) we didn't take advantage of the amenities like we normally do, but next time we will. A lobby bar (our favorite place to check out), an onsite restaurant (Mad & Vin which loos really good), an outdoor courtyard to sit and relax, and complimentary cruiser bikes to explore the town. The Landsby is Pet friendly, so definitely check out their webpage for details for your furry friends. So....... Now that I've let you in on my little secret, I don't want you to keep it that way! Spread the word! Pass it along! Tell a friend! Come check out the Landsby in Solvang!!

Check in process can be challenging. They text me the same day of check in to ask me for my email and a credit card. I was not comfortable replying as I thought it might be spam. I waited until I arrived. I had to call a number, and provide my credit card for incidentals over the phone. I was hoping they would have a check in machine similar to vegas hotels since no live staff. It was pretty loud to hear as another group was trying to check in too. I am giving a 3 due to service. The balcony door's lock was not working. I text them when we checked in to report issue with no response. The hotel room was beautiful and pleasant. I loved the nespresso coffee, the lounge area. They also had a reading lounge. Everything was artistic with great color, very new and clean. Another issue I had was that I booked through a 3rd party and prepaid room when over night I received an extra charge notification. When I called in the morning around 6:30 am I was advised no manger was available until 7 am and someone would call me then. I waited until 7:30 am as no one called me I called again. I was advised they were having systems issues with their app. Since it was a 3rd party the app was charging me the 3rd party charge. Which was $50 less what I paid to the 3rd party. I advised them I had already prepaid. They advised me they would release hold in 2-3 days. I called the 3rd party to advise the above. They called Winston staff as they shortly after sent me a text. I do believe Winston was in error to charge me while I had already paid the 3rd party. The funds were released the next day. Keep an eye on credit card notifications if stay here. Other than the above issue and Check in service I would stay here again. The room was comfortable with the exception of the balcony door not locking.

We had to call several times: For more towels, for more instant coffee (there's an electric kettle in a small kitchen with a microwave), and to figure out how to work the TV (which had a box literally hanging off of it and dangling down the wall), apparently not an uncommon issue since there's a note saying to call before 9 pm if the TV won't work. We also had to specifically request the breakfast and 2-for-1 wine tasting coupons advertised. That said, each time someone helpfully turned up (or offered to do so). But each time it also felt like the bare minimum (how many towels do you want; how many coffee packets?) Also had ants in the kitchen and had to text several times to get that taken care of; returned to a room smelling like unpleasant disinfectant and ... ants. Room was otherwise clean and cute. Bed was big and comfortable. Sheets / linens somewhat basic but not at all bad. We were in No. 2, which had a nice sitting area and lots of light if you don't mind everyone walking past on the street seeing you. I don't know what they were doing above us - one can only imagine - but it went until well after midnight and started up again around 7 am. Tromping and banging that made our whole room shake a bit.
