I stopped by Miracle on Main Street during my visit to Kansas City in December 2023. It was a pop-up Christmas bar open from 4:00 pm to Midnight. There was Christmas music playing and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation playing on the television screens along the bar. The workers are friendly and happy to take photos if you ask. My hot buttered rum served in a Santa mug was warm, strong, and rich - just what I needed on a cold winter night after having dinner. If you are downtown by Crown Center and Union Station during the holiday season, this is a fun pop-up to visit for drinks and appetizers.

Miracle is now closed for the 2019 holiday season, but still had to get my thoughts out there for when it inevitably returns to cap off 2020. Miracle is a little like the movie A Christmas Story -- fun, but a little overdone. Vibe: I like the old vintage Christmas decor, and the over-the-top lights and vibe. It could stand to have the regular house lights toned done a bit as it felt a bit sterile. Our service was not very good, but it's hard to blame an individual, they were simply understaffed. Place was packed, but energy was kinda low. Drinks: Big time swing and a miss this year. I don't know if I remembered them differently, but these were all just A-OK at best, and priced like they were top notch. I think most have said it, but if you're just going for a festive good time and not overanalyzing the drinks, you'll have a lot of fun. The ideas of these places is spot on, but it feels like maybe they've jumped the shark a bit in my opinion. Charging people nearly $20 a head just to make a reservation to pay $12 a drink? That's a naw from me dawg. More and more of these pop-ups are coming to town, such as Sippin' Santa Tiki inside Julep in midtown, and those will catch my attention more for 2020.

The secret is out. Everybody's favorite Christmas bar is back in business. So, bust out your ugly sweaters, your tinsel and your myrr and frankincense, it's time to celebrate the season. I noticed this year that the venue worked on maximizing its space. The tables and chairs were moved to allow a little more standing room and also to make it a little easier to walk around. Nice touch. I was a little bummed the drink menu wasn't updated. It was the same as last year. Service was also a little slow. I think another bartender and another server might have helped out. Last, but not least... this is a popular spot that will reach capacity quickly. Please plan ahead because there will be a line at peak times.

There's 3 of these pop up Christmas restaurants in the KC area. My youngest daughter who is 19 has a birthday in late December so it's always a struggle trying to keep birthday and Christmas separate. We still keep trying. When this showed up the family thought we have to go for her. First, everyone needs to know you have to have reservations. By having reservations you have to do it on line and there is also a $17.50 charge per person. What do you get for the 17.50 you might ask. NOTHING!!! ( i guess that's your entry fee) my husband says it's a cover charge. But the 17.50 doesn't apply to a drink or food. It literally just lets you walk in the door! Maybe I need to get out more, but that seems crazy!! The drinks were good, but not very much in them. I'm not a bartender but the drinks we had were barely 4 ounces and 15.00. Which is just a bit pricey in my opinion! We had tater tots they were amazing and a cheese pizza. Tater tots were amazing and were 10.00. Pizza was a Tony's pizza and was 16.00! It's definitely a place for atmosphere!! It didn't disappoint! They have the movie, "A Christmas Story" playing on several TVs. Great for Instagram and her Snapchat! She loves Christmas so she absolutely loves it.

I feel bad for giving it two stars but genuinely it didn't stick out to me. For starters there was a $17.50 cover charge per person. Our drinks were alright, two came out right away and two came 25 minutes later. They were also out of a few drinks. We ordered food which was good for what it was. Our bill for 2 drinks and two orders of food was around $70 not including tip or adding In our cover charge. It was a cute setup but overall wasn't impressed with how much it cost. It was nice though we got $10 vouchers to come back and try Rockhill grill!

Enjoyed great holiday drinks at Miracle at Rockhill Grille, a holiday pop-bar in the Crossroads. Miracle started at a NYC bar in 2014 and has spread to 80 cities, including KC. Nonstop holiday music, festive decorations, plus spirited drinks, makes for a great time. In the photo with the two mugs, we try from left to right, the Jingle Balls Nog, the Bad Santa and the Run, Run, Rudolf. Prepare to wait in line outside as they limit the number inside. We went on a Monday, a week before Xmas, and it took over 30 minutes even at 5pm. Fortunately the weather wasn't bad. Unless you're there at the 4pm opening, dress appropriately.

What a wonderful time of the year! The mine moved quick and once in the I was blown away by the amount of decorations! Truly feels like you're in a winter wonderland. The drinks are a bit expensive about $12-15 per but they use J. Reiger whiskey. These pop up bars are popping up all over for many different holidays. They're definitely a must for any holiday season and this place is no different! We had a a really great time.

We loved our visit to Miracle! Both the food and drinks were delicious! We got there at 3 and waited outside for about 15 minutes before we got in. Once we got in, we found a table and our service was fantastic! I recommend the tater tots and the Brussels sprouts salad. My favorite drinks were the run run Rudolph and the Christmas carol barrel.

While the price wasn't ideal, it also wasn't unexpected. It's not a cheap night out ($10-$14 drinks or a handful of $6 beer options) but if you're all in on Christmas music, movies and decor - you'll love the experience! Servers and bartenders were great, line moved quickly and we managed to get a table for our group. Everyone like their drinks and their food. Couldn't make it a regular part of our winter season from a budget point of view, but definitely worth an annual visit! Had a blast with friends last night and would definitely recommend!

The Miracle at Rockhill is pure Christmas magic! Every detail is over the top Christmas tacky in the very best way possible. It's like going to the best Christmas party in town. The drinks are good - I wouldn't say they were the best I've had in town, but they were all tasty and the ambiance top notch. My best advice is to show up when they open because it fills up fast and some in our group had to wait in line!

Nice theme but horrible drinks! Limited menu, poor service, and awful tasting drinks. Should be advertised as the Grinch experience.

I am still genuinely befuddled at this Friday night dinner experience…read more I came in for a celebratory Hurricane since I'd heard these were great (and we loved their cocktails the last time) and a bite. The place was pretty empty which was unusual; the last time we came in I think was in December and it was slammed! It turns out they aren't serving alcohol right now (apparently an ownership change? I didn't get the full scoop) so that was the first let-down. So fine - I'll just have a bowl of the gumbo. For $29?! And some biscuits. The gumbo comes out in a cracked bowl with a cracked plate underneath and the 3 little crawfish on top are refrigerator cold. Granted, the actual gumbo was pretty solid with the right amount of heft and spice and depth, but even then the rice had some hard pieces in it like it was old. The biscuits aren't anything to write home about and the butter is just meh. I wouldn't spend my carbs there. On top of all that, the waitress literally couldn't be bothered that I existed. I had to pry to get a drink menu (which is when I found out they weren't serving any), I couldn't get any eye contact from her or any kind of friendliness, she asked me if I wanted them to "heat it up" when I told her about the crawfish, and then brought my bill when I hadn't even finished dinner without bothering to ask if I wanted any dessert. And on top of that, there was no mention at all about the dinner issues or any apology whatsoever. I don't need or want a meal comped but for over $40 for a bowl of gumbo and some biscuits (+ tax, tip, etc) I at least expect some acknowledgement or "hey, here's something nice we can do for you". We really enjoyed the last time we were here and this was a genuinely jarring experience compared to that. The place looks pretty rough right now - maybe this is one of those places that has the right vibe in the dark, but nothing felt right about it today, and I'm afraid I can't (won't) recommend it again.
