I visited Virginia quite a few times in the past and found her to be pleasant and relatively easy…read moreto talk to in in her office at Edmonds. However, I became concerned with her techniques and general beliefs and decided to look into her background and experience. What I found was upsetting. Apparently Virginia is a good friend and former event organizer of Tacoma's own JZ Knight, inventor and channeler of Ramtha. Who is Ramtha? Ramtha is a 35,000 year old Lemurian warrior who battled against the Atlanteans with his army of 2.5 million warriors. Right. Okay. Hey, Tacoma needs something to call its own, may as well be a cult leader! Virginia invited JZ to NY for some good old fashioned Ramtha channeling and then made the trek out to WA to follow her (Google JZ Knight Gini Hashii for 'A State of Mind, My Story'). Okay, so Virginia has some odd beliefs, no harm, no foul, right? Unfortunately she seems to be a believer in some of the more disturbing teachings of Ramtha and uses these in her counseling. Ramtha pushes that bad things happen to people who don't try hard enough and that the mind can conquer all. When JZ's first husband (out of 5 or 6) died of HIV, JZ remarked "Well, that's okay. It's what he chose!". This is the same husband that forgoed treatment for years because of the belief that Ramtha would heal him. So, according to JZ, laziness, not HIV, killed him. Virginia works these beliefs into her practice and has made statements that indicate she has little use for western medicine and science, that all that is needed is the power of mind and new age healing to treat horrible illnesses. No traditional treatment needed, just positive thinking. In fact, the right attitude can keep you from getting cancer in the first place. Sound familiar? This isn't to say that Virginia is wrong for everyone. As I mentioned earlier, she's energetic, she can be friendly and has a good sense of humor. If you are a new agey, alternative therapy type or are familiar with and comfortable with Scientology-like cults, she's probably a great match. For all others, I'd advise caution.

They…read morehad tests done both medicated and unmedicated for his ADHD to help his prescribing docs too. The testing was given in small chunks and split up over a few weeks to not stress my son. They were patient and accommodating. The results were a tremendous help as he entered middle school. The tests results alleviated the IEP staff from having to "figure out" how best to help my son. I had been told by my the pediatrician that the testing would be expensive and not covered by insurance. Given the in depth nature of the testing and the incredibly detailed and comprehensive report I received in return ... it was worth the price. AND it was covered by Blue Shield Insurance, who paid for most of it. I highly recommend Dr Oram and his staff for this type of comprehensive testing. I didn't know how much I needed to know, until they showed me. I feel armed with the right information to advocate for my son as he continues his education.

"Dr. Andie" had a tech call us with the results that Sara's hematocrit was 12 because she had a dinner party to attend (5:45 pm...). She said she wasn't able to "access" Providence's information, so it was not her issue anymore...Hmmm... it makes you wonder, doesn't it? If she had spent a moment actually trying to diagnose my daughter, who had ulcers running from her esophagus to her upper intestines due to an obstruction, rather than trying to get us to hire her buddies who wanted to put her on anti-psychotics because she believed her grandparents were angels...I kid you not... I should be thankful that the Board made her take classes to address her clear deficits in dealing with people with disabilities and the elderly. I am saddened to realize this is an arrogance within Dr. Andie that will never be settled by a couple of classes and a paper or two. If you, your child, or your parent are perfect, if any of them are completely without issues...she might be fine...God forbid this woman is ever called to be a true doctor...Oh, here is a fun fact: Everett Clinic would not allow me to leave a review......Again, I stand by my first review. May God watch over whoever she treats... Here is my original review: This doctor poses a danger to her patients. She almost killed our daughter. No, I am serious. Our daughter almost died because of Dr. Andie's wrong-minded, judgmental, and insufficient medical care. Instead of trying to root out the reasons why our daughter, who has a genetic disability, was losing an incredible amount of weight, she decided this fragile person was everything from psychotic to simply overly defiant. And, just to be clear, Sara has been healthy throughout her life. Sara was admitted to Providence Hospital in Everett, WA, on July 2nd with massive bleeding ulcers. Her hematocrit level was 13. She spent eight days there. It was touch and go. Dr. A never even checked on her (at least according to the doctor herself; she said she didn't see any need...). She even had a tech call us and tell us our daughter "needed to be rushed to the hospital before she died"...Dr. Andie was (at 6:00 pm) apparently "off work and has her own life." That last part is what she said to me directly when she finally agreed to meet with me (20 minutes only, must have all questions submitted ahead of time). Okay, doctors deserve time to themselves, I agree. But, why not have the on-call doctor call us? Why toss this on a person who shouldn't have to be put in this position? She has lied, insinuated, attacked, and misled every step of the way. To her, it is all CYA. I do not say what I am saying lightly. I also have turned her in to the Medical Board for review, which they are following up on and have now interviewed me at length. As I said to the gal who called me from the Medical Board, I don't have to have a doctor pat my hand and say nice things only. I need someone who will do their due diligence and work for the better health of their patients. That is NOT Dr. Lesowske. Please, please do not use this doctor. Andie has been one of the best doctors I have ever had. She has always taken her time to understand…read moremy issues and never makes me feel rushed. I feel like she has taken the time to help both me and my family and we are all grateful for her. Between myself and my girls we have had a wide range of issues from diabetes, physical pain, mental health, and gender issues and she has been willing to take the time to help us or refer us for all of them. She gets busy but is always available and always answers her messages in a reasonable amount of time. Even through COVID she has kept up with our issues. It's always a pleasure to see her and she values everyone's time. She is normally very prompt and on time in her office so when the rare occasional backup occurs you know it's because she is dealing with something important. I've been to other doctors offices where it's the norm. Being part of Everett Clinic the general phone tree can be a little cumbersome but if there is ever an issue the wonderful office staff is extremely helpful. Andie's assistant Katie is also great in getting everything ready for your appointment including reviewing history and vitals every time to make sure the records are well kept. If she is taking new patients I would highly recommend her as I have many times. I drive 20-30minutes to make sure she is my PCP.

My PT, Lindsey Knox, wanted to send me to a specialist for an MRI despite improvement in my injury after 3 weeks of treatment. When I asked "Why? I am improving?", I did not get a straight answer, just more pressure to see a specialist. When I went to my primary care doctor for a second opinion, they did not believe I needed an MRI because I was improving. It seems to me that Lindsey was trying to get me to spend more money and/or benefit from a referral. I cannot trust a facility that puts that before patient care. - Lack of transparency in billing. I received a bill in the mail nearly 3 months after my treatment in February. By then, it had a 30-60 day "late charge". I had also already paid through my HSA in March. This is unacceptable for two reasons: 1. Even if I hadn't paid yet, you cannot send a bill late and then charge the patient for a late payment. 2. I had already paid online through my HSA and many of the itemized charges there were different than those displayed in the mailed bill. I think some of the issues may be because Summit Rehab contracts out their billing to another company, leading to confusion.
