The two caregivers we have had so far were excellent. They both found things to help with and didn't need much prompting from me. I am surprised to see any reviews that are low as I would give six stars if I could. Their intake process was highly professional and their business shows a high degree of organization at all levels. Take it from a very organized retired teacher. Honor is worth checking out and trying their services. Kudos to management and staff .

My only gripe is when the regular caregiver is unable to come. Honor Care doesn't seem to have a backup system in place. So, most of the time no replacement comes or they able to come only at different hours. I could be wrong, but it feels like they treat caregivers like Uber drivers. Instead of proactively having a backup list or making phone calls, it feels like they just open up a slot and hope somebody responds. I could be wrong, but that is the way it feels.

She constantly interrupted us while we were in our room and working. Ultimately she said her mother is in the hospital and she has to leave and she just left! She came to our house at 8 am and left at 8:45 am My husband and I both are working parents and needed someone that day to watch the baby and she put us in a very bad situation. ''Elizabeth'' was the most irresponsible babysitter I have ever seen. She should not be a nanny at all. Obviously she has no interest for taking care of kids.

I learned the hard way, that many caregiving agencies (and their employees) are NOT what they seem; nor as wonderful as they present themselves to us, the family! I don't even write yelp reviews, but this one matters a lot to me!!! If you are seeking a caregiving agency that is honest and displays the highest level of integrity, then I can say from personal experience, THIS is your agency! As anyone familiar with having a loved one with dementia knows, because our loved ones with this disease can't often communicate how they are actually treated, it is VITAL that the caregiving agency we hire - as well as the individual caregivers they send - be the professional and caring company that their brochures always say they are. Even as I write this, I am shaking my head as I remember some of the dishonest and unprofessional agencies/caregivers we had during this time period from other agencies (hence, going through so many local agencies). I was regularly at my aunt's home and very active with her care, but it's almost impossible to accurately know what goes on when we are not there. When we finally (through a referral) came upon Betsy and her agency - everything was different! For three years, we had Betsy and her team in my aunt's home (live-in care), and they were a HUGE blessing! The caregivers were actually trained and it showed in the care they gave, and the quality of the caregivers was MUCH higher than previous agencies. As I have shared with others: As a leader goes: So goes the company. The fact that Betsy has such a high personal level of integrity, she was VERY picky about who she hired. My aunt meant the WORLD to me! I could tell that Betsy sincerely cared about her. She would make unscheduled visits to check in, and she always listened and addressed any concern I had. Even as I write this, I'm smiling as I'm sure I was often a "picky" (to put it nicely), client about which caregivers came to help with my aunt. My questions and concerns were NEVER brushed off, but rather immediately addressed. My sweet aunt "graduated" from Hospice THREE TIMES and was on Hospice the fourth time when she passed away. I was consistently told by my aunt's doctors and Hospice, that my aunt was doing as well as she was because she was receiving such great care!!! Okay, this was too long I know, but anyone who has been in my shoes knows that having an agency and caregivers that you can trust for the best care of your loved one is HUGE!!! She was able to help facilitate an in-home care professional to work alongside hospice in keeping my grandfather comfortable while also caring for my grandmother - the very next day!! My grandfather passed quickly and peacefully after his return home from the hospital - with family members by his side. We were able to share stories, joke, laugh, cry, and say our goodbyes at his in-home bedside. We were able to do this while not having to worry about the intricacies of medication and care of my grandparents - the ability to do this was priceless. We take for granted the little things we do each day - getting food or drink from the fridge, using the rest room, reaching the remote, opening the door for fresh air. Having just moved here, I had no one to stop in or spend time with him. While I could provide all the clinical care with the help of home care, there were many hours left in the day where he could not be left alone. Yulma was a great communicator and fun to be around. She was also sensitive enough to know when to back off and let my husband try something for himself and to step in while keeping my husband's dignity intact. They got along great.
