Had tub refinished a few years ago. Looked good initially. Paint started to peel in a number of places about 4 months later. In addition, they painted OVER the caulking where the wall meets the tub. The problem with this is that, if/when you need to repair/replace the caulking along the tub/wall, when you remove it, the paint peels up with it along with a bit more! They should have suggested to remove the caulking before painting. ...and "Yes, you DO get what you pay for." And considering what I paid, I can't be upset enough to only give it one star. read more

I love how my shower came out - like it's a brand new tile job for 1/4 the cost!

I was STUNNED by the transformation they did to my rental property. And even more stunned by how reasonable that transformation was. Reglazing the tub and tile turned a dreary 60's blue bathroom into a clean, sparkling white and inviting room. They also resurfaced the kitchen counter to a stylish, stony grey that totally modernized the look and tone. The crew that came in to do the work were great AND very neat. My wife and I recently bought a house. We desperately needed to update some of the rooms in the house. Needless to say the bathroom was one of our primary targets... The tub was mint green and the soap dish was black... This had to be address before we moved in. Long story short we regrettably didn't do our homework and picked Miracle Method at random. Their worker thought it was acceptable to leave the soap dish sides and bottom black (not once but twice), and multiple areas of the tub still had shades of green coming through. There was a noticeable strip of green still showing which was evidence that he hardly knew how to tape nevermind reglaze. During their first visit they did not properly ventilate their workspace which lead to intense fumes throughout the house. On their second visit the same worker decided to walk off the job b/c I called out the imperfections in his work. On the third visit the worker came with his boss in tow (which i thought i would be in good hands having the owner now do the tub... but...well... not so much). In all it took this company 3 visits to "complete" the project. The final result left major pools of white paint, rough edges, and an overall uneven finish on the tub. This will now cost us twice as much because we will have to hire a PROFESSIONAL company to come in and do the job right. PS- The user comments on the website get filtered. read more

Don't count on your countertops looking like the pictures on the website. They basically just paint your countertops without even wiping the dirt off or fixing any cracks. I was very clear that I did not want any pastel in my finish so I was surprised that (a) they painted over a cracked edge without fixing it and (b) there was a ton of blue in the paint. Went to see the owner, Dave who was eager to make me happy but when he came to my house he said even though it looked blue, it was actually black. (No, if it looks blue, it's blue). He was sorry about the crack and sorry I wasn't happy but made no offer to fix it. It's just paint, folks. Very expensive paint. No miracle here. K.A. read more

They went above and beyond to not only solve the challenges of my particular shower situation with perfect results, but they worked well with my other contractor to find the right answer. Miracle Method issues a 5 year warranty on their bath and tile refinishing....save it because you WILL need it. They refinished my tub and tile walls in early October 2011. On the day of my scheduled appointment they called to say they were stuck on another job and needed to reschedule, which we did. They did complete the job in two days instead of the originally quoted three days, but it has been a nightmare since. In the 5 months since they did the refinishing I have had to call three times for repairs. The first time was for chipping of the newly resurfaced bathtub. The owner himself came to do the repair and the first thing he asked after looking at the tub was if my husband had applied the caulk where the tub meets the wall. It is incredibly sloppy and was just poor workmanship...I could have done a better job myself. He did fix the chips, but told me I would likely continue to have a problem with chipping around the drain because, "it's flush with the tub" (aren't they all?). Not sure why he didn't mention that when he came out to do the quote. The second time I called for repairs (again for chipping) I had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. I scheduled the repair only to be called the morning of the appointment (again) and be told they couldn't make it because he was called out of town unexpectedly. I was understanding of the situation and was promised they would call me to reschedule. A full week passed before I finally called THEM to reschedule. Again, the owner came to do the repairs. When I expressed a concern about the grout in between the tiles at the bottom of the walls beginning to discolor and chip, his response was to "try and live with it," but call back if it became a problem because it is a much more involved repair. Last week I noticed that a large area of the tile on the walls in cracking and peeling off. I again called to schedule repairs and was given an appointment for a specific time two days later. An hour after the scheduled time I called the office and was informed that there, "must have been a miscommunication" about the time frame. Bottom line, do not hire Miracle Method unless you want to constantly be making repairs, each time not being able to use your shower for at least 24 hours. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired and the job they do isn't worth the money. read more

i had my tub and the tile surrounding it refinished about 8 months ago. the tub and tile were in great condition, no chips or broken tiles and grout was also in great shape. we just hated the color (pink). so Dave comes out from miracle method and does the job but not it is all cracked around where the tub meets the wall which i might be able to understand and deal with. however it is also peeling around the drain really bad. this tub is in a guest room that barely gets used. it is ridiculous that it is already failing. so I've been calling Dave for a week now with no response. Ive called him four times and my wife has called as well. i would never recommend Dave for this work. I cannot speak for other contractors that use miracle method but obviously don't use Dave. read more

DO NOT DO IT !!!!! I AM NOT BEING A JERK HERE , THIS IS A FACT . We recently bought a house with a " vintage " 1/2 bath , and decided to remodel it but keep it vintage . The tub is a corner apron tub from 1917 . The fixture is freestanding . Anyway , from the beginning I kinda felt that I was in trouble . We had the entire bath gutted down to framing , and the original wood floors uncovered , brought back , sanded to be refinished later . Even the fixture was removed from the tub . Seems as though that should have made it simple for them . Instead , the original guy that was to paint the tub only put about 8" of paper around tub , and that's it . I asked about this and he said it was not a problem . That resulted in overspray , and even worse " SNEAKER PRINTS " in porcelain on the wood floor . This guy did a horrible job painting . The paint is uneven to my naked eye , and I were glasses . There are large , multi runs on the most visual side of the tub . The paint isn't even smooth . Its actually pretty rough . So then the owner Dave came to " fix " it . Didn't happen . He was there for 40 minutes ( most time spent outside at his truck ) . Came back for a third time to " fix " . NO GOOD ! At that point , I noticed what I think are very small scratches on the very top rim of tub , and pointed it out to him . He said that " no way are those scratches " . Come to find out later , that scratches are the first thing mentioned in the warranty that's not covered . When I asked him again , about the runs , uneven paint and rough surface his response was , " That's It ! " Dave seems to be a decent guy , and seems to be willing to come back as much as needed , but does that replace the poor workmanship . I don't think so . We have chalked up all of the overspray , footprints , and paint runs , as nostalgia . Oh , by the way , he charged more than other guys which made us more comfortable to hire him . Highly recommend that you don't do it . I should have looked for reviews before hiring . They are out there NO STARS read more

We had a very bad experience with this company. They sent a technician who did not know what he was doing, all the material peeled and the owner came back to fix his work and the owner actually made things worse. Over sprayed the material onto our walls, and ruined our bathroom carpet. The ultimately walked off the job without fixing the work. Another contractor now said they will not try to repair his work. Do not use this company! We are currently contacting the Better Business Bureau about this franchise. read more
