I'd remodeled my guest bathroom and kept the original tub while retiling the surround. The tub originally had a half shower door, that I'd had removed during the remodel, so the tub definitely had some marks and years of wear and tear. My parents had used their local Miracle Method and were happy with the results and I decided to use them too. John came over and walked me through the process before starting. I am so happy with the outcome. My tub looks like new, shiny white and any imperfections are gone. I felt like the price was very reasonable. Altogether I would definitely recommend for refinishing older tubs and resurfacing of countertops in situations where installing new countertops is not an option. This is an established company with proprietary method for refinishing. They did a thorough job and were able to substantially improve an older tub with some serious rusting issues. They have also revived older countertops. I would knock-off a fraction of a star because I had hoped that they would do a slightly better job of filling and smoothing the older countertop before refinishing, but would still recommend them. Have a conversation about the price before closing to make sure it makes sense for you. read more

Wow, what a wonderful experience! This is the second time I have used Miracle Method to refinish my tub and both times have been great! Brian, the technician was friendly, considerate, clean and intelligent.. He got the tub refinished in no time with no mess. He explained the process to me very clearly. This was so much easier than having to redo or replace my old tub. Now it looks brand new and will last at least another 10 years. I highly recommend this company and the process. I had the bathtub and new shower door put in in June of this year. It was a very old bathroom. They did an incredible job in a dated house where nothing is easy to improve on. Miracle Method refinished our kitchen sink in May. The sink was no longer available and replacing the counter for a new sink wasn't an option. I purposely waited 6 months to post a review as I wanted to see how this would "wear" being used daily. I must say it looks as great today as the day it was refinished! We had Miracle Method of Chicago resurface our tub in 2017 and it still looks fantastic, however, we have not used that tub often. They said never to clean it with bleach products, but we should use Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner with a soft sponge. We would definitely consider using their service again if needed. read more

I initially gave you 2 stars, but I took one away because you lied three times in your post. If we are going to post reviews, let's tell the truth and get everything out in the open. You did send a technician back out to remove and replace the caulk. Why? Because the first job was awful. You didn't mention in your post how bad the caulk job was. It took your second technician a full 8 hours to correct the first mess. I will now post pictures which I decided to hold back initially. You saw these pictures when we first discussed the negative issues. The shower door which I bought was one of the best that Creative Mirror had to sell and they installed it perfectly as they do all of the time. You know their reputation, it is impeccable! Your first lie ... the shower door is about 14 years old, not 20 as you indicated, but it is still in perfect condition, absolutely clean and worked absolutely fine before your employee removed and replaced it. When it was initially removed and replaced by your employee, the front door hit the front vertical rail every time when we tried to close it. Your second lie ... I DID NOT remove and replace it before your technician's second visit. I did have to adjust the vertical rail so the shower did not leak and all I did was remove one screw and realigned the rail so it closed better without the glass door hitting the rail. Removing one screw at the bottom of the vertical rail was a far cry from you indicating that I removed the entire door. As a matter of fact, you came out and I showed you exactly what I had to do to stop the glass door from banging against the vertical rail. The third lie ... you said that Creative Mirror would not come out to align the door because it was far past warranty. What I did tell you was that Creative Mirror indicated that they would not come out to correct someone else's mistakes. They indicated that I should have called them to remove and replace the door initially. Their exact words were "we don't refinish your tub, so don't have a refinisher install our shower doors". Also, when we talked about the conversation I had with Creative Mirror, you said that you could have them come out if you told them you would pay for their visit. So, how did that communication with them go? Or, am I correct in saying that you never tried to contact them to do anything to make it right? I'm sure you have insurance, so why not try to do what was right to a customer who you charged $990.00 for subpar work? I would enjoy having them out to look at what your company did because it still doesn't close properly. Or perhaps you can tell them that they didn't install it correctly like you mentioned to me once. Tell them that and let me know what they say, I guess I will have to talk to them again and see if they will come out to make the repairs. Here is a lesson ... when a shower door is installed, you first align it properly BEFORE you caulk the rails. When it works properly, then you caulk it. I can guarantee it wasn't done that way. I will also mention that the face of the tub was never wet sanded or buffed out properly and there was a corner that was never even refinished properly. And, there is a big drip inside the tub where the coating was sprayed on too heavily. I guess you would have repaired these issues, but I dread the thought of wasting another 2 full days for the repairs and one day drying time to correct these. I've wasted enough time. But, then again, maybe I should have you out to hold you accountable. The pictures will give others something to think about if they want to hire you. If anyone thinks that these pictures represent professional work, then that is up to them. As for me, my expectations are much higher. read more

Dave installed a CleanCut tub cut-out for my bathtub so I could get in easier. As a senior with arthritis, this is a HUGE deal. It even looks good! Eric resurfaced the tile in my bathtub area. It looks gorgeous, like a totally new tub area. Now I'm thinking about having them do resurfacing in my kitchen ... I'm very satisfied with the work done. I cannot speak to the quality of Miracle Method's work. The reason for my one-star rating is because the estimator that came out to look should have told me that the fiberglass shower pan was cracked too far for it to be repaired by Miracle Method. After giving them a huge deposit to do the work after the first look, I was informed on the day of the job by the service tech that it was impossible for it to be recoated due to the huge crack. Half of my deposit was kept even though no work was done. Be forewarned - Miracle Method can recoat surfaces to look better cosmetically, but if the surface is cracked to the point where water has invaded the subfloor it is time to tear it out and replace with new rather than expecting a Miracle. Read the fine print and ask whether or not a deposit is refundable if for some reason the work cannot be done. read more

I used this company in the past and the salesman was fantastic. We called to get some work done in my new home and to our surprise he was no longer there. The salesman they sent was friendly enough, he arrived to the appointment late. He provided a quote for the work we wanted done. After a week we decided to gut one of the two bathrooms and called back for a revised quote. He was slow to respond at first giving unrealistic pricing then completely stopped responding! We've even called the main office and to date no response! Very unprofessional! Maybe swamped with work which is great for them now but certainly doesn't help get new or return customers. read more

We are so happy with the resurfacing job on our tub. It was really stained, partially painted over and just ugly. We thought we'd have to pay thousands for a new tub and we were concerned about removal since it was the original tub and huge - how the heck would we get it out the door let alone down the stairs. Contracted with MM March 2018 for resurfacing vanity and shower enclosure plus custom shower doors and grab bar install in our master bath. Sales and resurfacing good. Scheduling for shower doors and grab bar install was not. Began to notice the surface on the vanity cracking at the base of the backsplash behind the sink. Eventually, it chipped away, leaving a 1/4 inch seam about 10-12 inches long. Contacted MM and was told WITHOUT inspection this was not adhesion issue and was not covered by warranty, but considered "damage," possibly from "leaning" on the vanity. Sent photos of vanity and again was told MM was not responsible, but would repair @$95/hr. with mutually agreed total $$$ "limit." Next option suggested by MM was DIY "colored caulk" which I assume voids worthless "limited" warranty. Did my own research and acquired a DIY kit for color match. Bottom line is MM is a franchise and this particular outfit does not stand behind its work. Given the "warranty" covers only "adhesion issues" for five years and considers product failures "damage" at owners' expense, the application by definition is cosmetic. Perhaps adequate for a rental property. But if your intent is to remain in your residence, a high probability of repair/replacement costs in the long term. read more

I use yelp all the time -- but this is my first post because I'm very unhappy! I really wanted to like this service. My coworker had her tub redone by a competitor of theirs and it turned out great -- I liked that this gives the look of a new tub much quicker! I interviewed three different places that would sand and paint my tub -- and this was the most expensive because according to the owner they spent extra time to make it look new. The job he sold me on was supposed to keep my kids out of their tub for only two nights with three days of work that included touching up shower caulk and grout and spraying it with polyurethane so we would never had to scrub grout again. A day and a half later the grout was untouched -- but sealed and the tub did not look do good -- but they called for the payment. We had the owner return who swore it was a new guy error and that he would come in and show the guy how to correct it. Scheduling snafus and ineptitude on their part (which we were blamed for :-) has kept my kids in my bathroom for two weeks instead of two days! I think it looks worse now. We 're gonna hire professionals to retile. Don't make the same mistake I did!!!! read more

I had a small job. A single cabinet door which had melted thermofoil on an edge. I wanted the thermofoil redone. I met David who explained that wasn't something they did but he offered to try and find a replacement door. I left the door with him with low expectations. David called me back with an idea to strip the remaining thermofoil, sand and paint the door. It was 20 years old but they matched the aged white perfectly. I couldn't be happier. While I was there I looked around the shop. There are so many things in an older home which can be refinished and brought back to life... bathtubs, old sinks, tile walls, floors and countertops, not to forget cabinet doors - all look like new again. It's a $ savings but it's also nice to preserve original fixtures. I'll be thinking of other projects to do next. Highly recommend read more

I could not be happier. It looks like I got a brand new kitchen and bath. Nobody would be able to tell it was not genuine granite. Plus, your technician Eric was friendly, courteous, and professional. Everything turned out perfectly. He warned me of the things he wasn't sure he could repair without any flaws but when he was done, no flaws were seen. I spent the time he was here in the basement out of his way. I didn't lock my jewelry cabinets and even forgot I left my purse 5 feet from where he was working. Unfortunately, this is an issue with having some workers in the house. Not with Eric though. What drew me in was the guarantee on their craftsmanship. The technicians name is BRIAN. Upon his arrival he explained the paint would be removed, bathtub resprayed and the next day he would return to buff the tub and regain its glisten. I couldn't be any happier. If I could give this a 0-star rating, I would. My husband and his sister called these guys to do work on their dad's house and it turned into a nightmare. The product on the bathroom tub turned out fine, but we used this service to also paint kitchen cabinets. When the guy was "done", there were paint drips everywhere and the cabinets looked unfinished. Not to mention, some cabinets were put back upside down! We could have done a better job ourselves and apparently we should have! Fred, the owner, was called in and agreed that it was not up to par so he had his employee come back ... THREE times! And he kept locking himself out of the house. When we came back to check on the work, the back door frame was completely busted out! Fred denied his employee would do any wrongdoing but begrudgingly fixed the door frame. It looks sketchy at best and will need another look. We have not asked for anything free; simply wanted this work to be done in a timely and professional manner. This company missed the opportunity to make things right on many occasions. We've also called Fred numerous times to get the copy of the house key we lent him, but he has not returned our phone calls. To add insult to injury, a family member of mine knows an owner of Miracle Method in Michigan who reached out to Fred. Apparently he thinks we're exaggerating things and the door broke because "it dragged on the ground". I could provide photo evidence that it actually never touches the ground the way it sits in the frame. The only way it could have broken the way it did, would be if the door had been locked and then forced open. I also have plenty of photo evidence of the horrible paint job done to the cabinets. I understand that some customers can be complete nightmares who actually do blow things out of proportion. I've worked in customer service my entire working life. The treatment we've received from Fred and his "best employee" has been appalling and personally insulting. I don't usually write reviews but when mine and my family's integrity is called into question, I just can't stand idly by and keep quiet. read more
