And the couch is done cushion by cushion and pillow by pillow. Both the carpet and the couch always look brand new after they leave. Larry and Kyle are very professional and friendly, knowledgeable and fair. After reading reviews, I sent a request for information late one evening, and Larry answered within an hour. We set up and appointment for Larry and his son Kyle to give me an in-home estimate on replacing about 500 square feet of old carpeting in two bedrooms and their walk-in closets. Kyle walked me through various fiber and style choices and even helped me pick the color. Larry measured the rooms and gave me a quote for installation, moving furniture, and the removal of the old carpeting. The price was very reasonable, so Kyle prepared a contract for me, he checked with the manufacturer for stock status, and we picked a date for the installation. Since I live in a condo, I needed a Certificate of Insurance to present to the building management company so the work could be approved. Larry sent me one without delay. The installation itself was so smooth. The team, Pedro Jr. and Luis, arrived right on time, moved furniture with great care, took up the old carpeting and padding, and put down the new. The master bedroom is large enough to require seams in the carpeting, and they did a great job. When they were finished, they vacuumed thoroughly and even cleaned the building's common areas like the hallway and lobby to make sure there was no trace of carpet and padding crumbs. They were kind enough when replacing the furniture to allow me to measure carefully and they repositioned the furniture to my exact specifications. I'd been thinking about getting new carpeting for a couple of years now, and it was reading the fabulous reviews for Larry and Kyle and American Carpet that gave me the confidence to go ahead and do it. So if you live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and you are hesitating over getting new carpeting, take the plunge and call Larry and Kyle. It was a three bedroom with living and dinning area about 1000 square feet. He quoted $450 +/- over the phone when he got on site he said he would do it for $438 and said it would take about 2 1/2 hours to complete, the work included cleaning/shampooing all the carpet and cleaning all stains (which were verv small in size). My mother kept a very clean home and the carpet wasn't in bad shape to begin with. Eric said he was finished 1 1/2 hours into the job so I went to look at the work and right away looking to see if the spots/small stains had been removed where we discussed prior to starting and they were still there and not cleaned completely. He did remove rust spots from under the dresser legs in my mother's bedroom that we discussed, but after shampooing rust spots appeared under the coffee table legs in the living room. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with finishing a job earlie if the work is complete and done well, but in this case the worker (Eric) did finnish earlie and the work was definitely not complete. After he left l looked closer to areas of the carpet that didn't look shampooed and they were dry to the touch, they weren't even shampooed. This is why the carpeting didn't have that uniform patterned look to it because it was not completely shampooed. At a cost of $438 dollars divided 1.75 hours (he did come back for 15 minuts to clean some of the spots he missed) that comes to $250.28 per hour! That sounds to me like a great rate, if you can get it do a good job and keep your customers happy. For one more hour of his time he could have done a quality job still put very good money in his pocket and had a happy non complaining customer. 4/30/26

Unfortunately, our very sick dog went…read moreto the bathroom all over the carpet a few days back in the upstairs hall, she had previously thrown-up and we cleaned it by hand, but the spots didn't come out very well. Robert and his brother, Charlie came out to clean the carpet in the hall, stairs, and bedroom this morning! They were very respectful and told me what to expect. Also, I told him that I am very sensitive to scents, and he let me smell the products before he used them to get my approval. The stairs have been dirty for a very long time, and he was very upfront and said it may not look perfect when he is done, but it is so much better. Thank you both for your hard work and coming by so quickly today. I took before and after pictures, but for some reason, it won't let me import them. I will try again.
