The drinks were really good, but the food was a bit disappointing. They were out of the Parmesan chips and the ribs, which we were really looking forward to. Our server also forgot our wings, and the deviled eggs weren't very seasoned. The steak was extremely peppery, almost overpowering. Overall, the cocktails were the highlight, but the food definitely needs improvement.

My usual go to spot for the holidays - great for drinks, not great for food. Stopped in here recently and was disappointed with the meal. In the past I always looked forward to eating here. Sadly, will only come back for the drinks The drinks are delicious and served in fun cups! The Mac and cheese was bland. No taste at all. The buns (my favorite from last year) lacked flavor as well. The sauce was non existent on the buns. Super disappointing. Overall good spot to grab a fun holiday drink. Make sure to make a reservation!

Food was surprisingly awful, inedible chicken wings, tenders pierogies were filled w what seemed like box liquified mash potatoes, awful dry tenders, nachos cheese tasted awful and presentation was very sloppy. Drinks nothing special, over priced , only glassware and table ware was cute. Servers didn't care enough to ask why didn't eat food. They were attentive and polite otherwise. They were tipped well enough only because were nice. Our whole party couldn't believe we needed to book this fiasco months ahead of time only positive was the kitch decor. The ambiance is cute for a Christmas meet-up, I suggest to speak up if you receive awful food. It was bad even for bar food.

My boyfriend and I stopped in on Christmas Eve. The decorations were very festive and fun. We had the koala-lalala and the brix city ipa. My cocktail was strong and my boyfriend enjoyed his ipa. I also tried the t-Rex drink. This one had whisky amongst other things. It was good and strong. I didn't love it but I'm also not a big whisky fan. I really wanted to try it because of the mug. Parking can be tight since it's on a main road. But there are side streets

What a fun and festive experience! There really no better way to get into the holiday mood than to have dinner and/or drinks here. The decor is so magical and really transports you to a cozy winter wonderland. It's a bit difficult to get a weekend reservation during this time of the year but I was able to book a few weeks in advance for a group of 5. Keep in mind that there is a time limit of two hours if you come here on a weekend because it gets super packed. We sat in the dining room area which was separate from the hustle and bustle of the bar and while it wasn't exactly quite, it was intimate enough that our group of 5 could hear each other talk. The drinks are really creative and they taste great. I absolutely love the glassware that they give you with the drinks, it adds so much to the festive mood. While the food is certainly not the main event, most of the items are decent, elevated bar foods. We started out with the cheese board and fondue and I had the cauliflower tacos as my main course. I've never been to Cowan's before but I really like some of the other restaurant in the area managed by the same group so would definitely want to check it out even when Miracle on Centre is no longer there.

Just a great place to be happy and enjoy the Holiday spirit. My girlfriend and I truly enjoy visiting (all year round).

Great little local joint. Christmas transformation makes your heart feel real good. Go !!

    Christmas miracle!!

This is such a great idea. I wish they did more of these. Cowans is already my favorite bar but at Christmas is became magical. Beautifully decorated and music to theme I felt transported to the north pole. Great signature cocktails. My personal favorite the koalalalalas. Great idea and I hope it's back for next Christmas .

The reason I give it 3 stars is because I don't think they've ever gotten my food order 100% right. They make a tasty burger, but they always forget at least one requested topping on the burger. The menu says "lettuce, tomato, and onion on request" and even though I always request all three, I never get all three. If I ask for a different kind of cheese, I get American anyway. A lot of the time my receipt will have all of my requests on it, but the burger doesn't match. Also, they seem to have downgraded their onion rings. The old ones were awesome and were a major selling point for me as an onion ring enjoyer. The new onion rings remind me of Burger King. Overall solid spot with a nice Irish pub vibe. Waitresses are mostly cool and friendly.

My mom and sister arrived first and were sat at a table. There was an empty table for six behind them. I was running late from the Newark train station and even though there was an empty table for six next to my family Annette told them they needed to move because "the entire party" hadn't arrived. My family offered to order since I was on my way and had texted my order, but Annette said "that was not the rule" and my 96 YO disabled mom could sit in a bar chair and wait. My sister explained that my mom couldn't get up into the chair to which Annette responded "I don't care. Those are the rules". Everybody else we encountered were all very pleasant. One other employee came over to tell us not to take it personally, "because she's like that to everybody". On the way out one fellow (he might've been the manager) said that she "was in charge of the kitchen." If that is the case, they would be best to put her in the kitchen and lock the door and not let her intimidate and harass customers, especially 90 six-year-old disabled women. She was in my opinion, a miserable, angry hateful womaAs far as the food. It was solid. The Chicken Savoy and the salad were good. The eggplant parm was different. The Italian bread was surprisingly poor. With all of the great Italian bakeries in the area they could easily upgrade the bread. We are one and done. Life is too short to ever have to encounter the vortex of misery that inhabits the kitchen at the Belmont Tavern. Enjoy your visit but best to call ahead and pick a day when Annette is off.

It's got that cool gastro-pub feel where you can sip a cocktail at noon and no one judges you, in fact, they encourage it. Now let's talk about the real star of the show: the Breakfast Burrtios! We ordered them, and let me tell you, this wasn't some dainty little wrap. This was a full on, two hands required, no talking for five minutes situation. Packed with all the breakfast essentials and wrapped up like a gift to humanity, it was hearty, flavorful, and exactly what brunch dreams are made of. Every bite basically said, "You made the right decision today." The rest of the menu has all the brunch classics with a fun twist, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked like it deserved its own photoshoot. The drinks were flowing, the crowd was buzzing, and the whole place had that contagious weekend energy. If you're looking for a brunch spot in Belleville that delivers great food, good vibes, and a breakfast burrito that might require a post meal nap, The Whiskey Priest is your place. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much when I ordered the Manhattan on their menu. They offer your regular bar food like wings, mozzarella sticks, and burgers, but also salads made with actual mixed greens and not just iceberg lettuce. Their fries were good, as well as the quesadilla, chicken fingers and steak salad (although crazy spicy so beware). The bartenders were so friendly, it must be a good place to work. I ordered a chipotle burger, but I'm not sure that's what I received. The burger I got had onions and what I think was American cheese. There was no chipotle taste to it. It was delicious nonetheless though so I would be interested to see you with the chipotle burger itself tasted like. I was also disappointed that they did not have the death seat burger. Apparently they only serve it once a month on Wednesdays and you have to look on Instagram for one that is. I shall go back for that one day.
