This is a good station, has a lot of access, easy to get into and out of, good lighting, car window washer squeegee and lots of access for diesel and regular fuel. They also have a full car wash. Inside has all one could expect for a mini mart. The pricing is what one would expect from a Shell. They do have some pump screens that have been broken for a while. I finally got to do my car wash on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at around 19:30. I got the best ($10) car wash and it took me about 7 minutes to get it done. For those who never have done a car wash at this Shell (and this is for most Shell gas station except for the one off of Mira Mesa Blvd and Flanders/Camino Santa Fe intersection) this is what happens. First, you buy the car code either by pumping gas (some give you 10 cents off/gallon) or by machine by driving up to the car wash station. Once you buy it or enter code if you bought it at the pump you drive your car forward. Before you do that, you should push your side mirrors. Once you reached the point of where the front wheel drops, then you just leave your car there for a good 7 minutes. When it is done, the light turns green, it makes a noise to tell you to move the car forward. You want to move slowly because you want the air to blow on your car. There is a timer and you get about 1 minute and 30 seconds to do that. That is it. I liked how there was no one behind me at that hour. The car wash does a very good job of cleaning your car. It cleans 99.99% of your car though because there might be a few areas where you will have to use a towel yourself to remove some stains that the car wash was not able to. The car will not be 100% dry either, but I would say about 90-99%. Also on the drying part, this one did a good job of sensing my car because sometimes it auto turns off when I drive up halfway because my car is slightly lowered than a regular car. Overall, I was happy and satisfied. It made my car clean. Also made it easier for me to clean the window glass. I was able to see everything. It is a bit noisy if you wanted to hear your music while doing a car wash. I had to turn my volume up a bit louder than normal just so I can hear my tunes. read more

This location is actually at the corner of Miramar Rd and Camino Ruiz. Compared to other Shell locations, this is one of the better ones: Large convenience mart. Ralph rewards. The gas pumps work faster than normal. More space to get in and out. There are less pumps here, but it wasn't busy during Friday rush hour. Prices are just a little bit higher. read more

The staff is good, the place is clean. The only problem I have is there are a number of beggars asking for cash when you pump gas, and it makes the area feel unsafe so I make sure all my doors are locked. I assume the employees cannot have the police remove these people, so I feel bad for them because it makes customers uneasy and it's not their fault. And these are the same people asking for money, so it seems to be their job instead of a real need. I offered to buy gas for the guy once (because he said he needed money for gas) and he refused, so I assume the money was for something else. read more

Same story as Sarah J. Got gas and purchased a car wash at the pump. Drove up to wash and after realizing that it was not a touchless wash, took the ticket inside to refund. Asked the guy working(Gary) if I could get a refund and he told me I should talk to the manager. I asked him how I should do that and he was bothered that I hadn't just walked away. He responded with open frustration that I would have to come in at 7am. If he had just told me "no" I would've left but after that I wasn't really having it. Me: What's the managers contact information? Gary: I'm not gonna give you the managers home phone number! Me: No problem I'll find it myself (googling on iphone) Gary: Did you just want a refund? I might be able to take care of that. Me: You just told me the manager takes care of that. Gary: I'm trying to help you out but you're giving me this attitude! Me: Don't worry about it, I'll have the manager take care of it. Gary: Are you gonna let me help you?! Me: Take care of it then. Gary: Well I'm trying to but you keep-- Me: Are you going to do it or not? At this point Gary stopped talking immediately and processed the refund within 1-2 minutes. He even told me "Thank you, have a nice day" in a pretty nice tone as he handed me the receipt. Everything else was as expected from a gas station. I used Apple Pay to buy a Charger that I was being chargered over 30$ which is ridiculous, so i changed my mind and asked to cancel the transaction, and he said he refunded it but when I got home I noticed that it went through without being cancelled. now i have no charger or 30. Lots of space to go in and out, very clean, modern looking, convenient, close to stores and as others have mentioned, seems that the pumps here work faster! Yes, little pricier that other gas stations, but seems to be a common denominator in Shell. Watch out with rush hour or you will have to be doing queue for a while. read more

Tried to fuel up here on New Year's Day and the pump wouldn't start. I headed in to the food mart to notify the attendant that pump #2 wasn't working and they fired back with "its premium only". When I asked if all pumps were affected he answered back with a very snarky "they're all connected" reply. I promptly left and decided never to come back. Poor customer service and a shitty attitude are a way to lose customers. Off to something better. read more

It's Shell guys. Yes, they're known for higher gas prices, but personally I believe they have higher quality. Beyond their gas they actually have excellent customer service. They recently upgraded their coffee to Coffee Bean and added better varieties of tea! Also, they have a fun whip topping machine. read more

The location is only convenient if you are on empty. It is located right at the on/off ramp to Miramar Rd on the 15. I paid at the pump but wanted a soda. I grabbed a drink from the outside cooler and went inside to pay. Clean but crowded and small. The woman at the counter did not greet me, I put my soda on the counter and hander her a $5. With out a word to me she handed me my change. "Uh, have a nice day," I say. She huffs and closes the cash drawer and turns away. My Daughter had to leave her car with a flat tire at the Shell Gas Station at 5:30 am Thursday morning and she called Lyft to get to work on time. I went to the Shell Station and spoke to the very kind Mary Jo and her boss to get permission to leave the car until my Daughter got there after work. They were so kind and understanding. I called AAA and they came out to change the tire. I am so happy to tell anyone who reads this review that kindness is a universal language and always appreciated. Gosh....so, I stopped off here this morning before work to get water. After grabbing my stuff, I go get in line. The girl in front of me had two Starbucks drinks, one of the bottled fraps and and one of the canned drinks. The dude working, I think his name was Gary or Gerry, rang them up at it came out to 8 something. She then told him that they're supposed to be 2 for $4.44. He did something on the register that had to total double twice. She pointed to the cooler, which had two big stickers, in direct sight of the register and said "see". He was being a complete ass at this point and she said even if they don't ring up he still has to honor the price (which is the policy pretty much anywhere). He told her she would have to bring that up with management then she told him he should take the stickers down then. He snapped back at her that he's busy and will do it when he gets a chance. Once she was done, I put my stuff on the counter-(2) 1 liter waters, one sport cap water, and a nesquick-he never said hi or anything, just rang my stuff up, took my money, and said "here" when giving me my change. Not a bad gas station. It is located between Miramar Rd and Camino Ruiz. The only problem I have is that if you're on Miramar heading towards the freeway, you have to make a left on Camino Ruiz and into the gas station and when you're trying to go back onto Miramar Rd, you have to make a U-turn or make a right and take one of these roads which will take to to the other intersection in which you can make a left back into Miramar. read more

I went to this car wash like I do almost every two weeks. I got gas and also got the car wash. I went to the carwash everything was fine as it always is and as the dryer started I pulled forward and the bar came down to my windshield but was not going up slowly as it always did. I moved forward slowly and I heard a loud pop and went on through the dryer. Once I pulled out I pulled over to look at my car to see what happened and the trim around my front windshield had been pulled off. It not only pulled it off but there was also an indention in the frame. You could see where something had actually ground down into the plastic. Obviously there was a broken piece on the roller or something because this is not normal damage. I went into the gas station and explain to them what happened. The girl came outside and took pictures and gave me a property damage report to fill out. She told me someone would be contacting me in the next couple days. The next week came and I never heard from anyone so I called her back and she informed me that the GM was out of town and would be back the next week. The next week I waited until Wednesday and still never heard from anyone so I called her back and she gave me the number of the supervisor but the supervisor and for me that I needed to speak to the GM and gave me that contact information. The GM of course apologize for not getting back to me because he was out for surgery but do not hesitate to tell me that the damage was not covered. He said that some cars just aren't meant to go into the car wash and that there is a disclaimer telling you that there could be damage done to your car. I explained to him I've been through this car wash many times with this same vehicle and that I never had damage done to my car. He continued to tell me that there are just some vehicles that are not meant to go in this car wash. He said the machine have been checked out and there was nothing wrong with it. I asked him if there was a report done on the inspection and he informed me that the manager at the store went out to check it to make sure it was working properly. The damage to my vehicle was obviously done by the car wash but yet they do not want to take responsibility for it. I would not recommend this car wash or gas station to anyone. Their customer service is terrible and they do not stand behind what they are selling. read more

I will not be returning to this Shell, while it's a very nice station and I prefer Shell gas, the cashier who may have been the owner by the way he was talking, Gary, was very rude. First, he saw me and ignored that I was waiting for him and when three other customers came in after me he helped them first. Then cut off the costumer he was helping to complain that he may not be able to take the $100 he could see I had, fast-forward he had no problem breaking the bill so the rude complaint was unnecessary. As I politely reassured him the amount he was counting back to me was correct, he said "that's why I don't normally take 100's" it was $38 and some change. If you can't count that, you probably should not be working as a gas station cashier especially on a road as busy as this. I was a patient kind customer and in no way deserved the attitude and rude comments he put forth. read more

Was charged full price for two king-size candy bars, despite the signs on the shelf that clearly stated "King-Size Candy (Any Variety) $2/3" Was told that the king-size bags (despite being directly next to the sign) 'did not count' for the sale, and was refused both a refund and the chance to switch the bag for one that was counted on the sale. Incredibly rude and insolent employee. Suggested that I come back to see the manager, as if I would return to the store during business hours (taking time off work) over a $1.50 overcharge. Just bought $20 gas and $10 car wash and forgot to pump gas first and after washing car went back to pump and told them I washed car first and they said someone else pumped my gas and I was S.O.L. They didn't care nor showed any empathy or sympathy for me just avoided eye contact and basically said you're S.O.L. buddy...next. I spend a $100 a month plus there easily and will never spend a penny there again. I hope losing a customer who works down the road for life and everyone else I can tell about it is worth the $20. I just went in last Friday and while I was sitting there waiting for the fans to blow off the water, a big piece fell from the ceiling and scratched up the side of my car.
