Roma Avocado Toast, Bacon & Berry Jam Biscuit, Caramel Macchiato with Almond Milk

Miranda's Cafe is the definition of a hidden GEM! I made my first (of many future) visits while attending SXSW spring of 2022. This quant little cafe is tucked away inside your average looking office building and is 100% worth the morning stop! I ordered the Roma Avocado Toast and the Bacon & Berry Jam biscuit! Oh my goodness! Both items were AMAZINGLY delicious! I'm a huge fan of breakfast and it's the meal I am most particular about since it starts my day off. I also ordered the largest caramel macchiato they had and sat down to enjoy my breakfast. Miranda's Cafe has ample room to sit and enjoy some quiet time before a busy day, or a peaceful lunch during a crazy one. Now for MY most important factor when eating out, COST! Miranda's Cafe is right up my alley with being very cost efficient. I live a "5 star rating, 1 dollar sign cost" lifestyle, and Miranda's is precisely that. On my visit I was lucky enough to have Miranda, Jose, and Greg serve me. I also learned Miranda's Cafe opened in 2020, yes THE 2020. So like all of your local restaurants, they are trying their best to make it through to the other side and become a lifelong success. Next time you need a quick delicious bite in downtown Austin, make the stop at Miranda's Cafe. Great service, great environment, and great FOOD!

Service was good. But... latte luke warm not much flavoring. Biscuit sandwich was blah! Honey pack when I opened it looked old.

Their fried chicken sandwich was audibly crisp with fresh tomato and lettuce that I made two meals out of. To end the perfect meal... my husband actually coordinated with staff to create "Gender Reveal" pancakes! I didn't realize what they were until I got to the yummy surprise! Their cream is delicious! The pancakes were soft and sweet! The experience, unforgettable. It brought happy tears to my eyes and we really appreciate the thought and care put into our day. We will DEFINITELY be repeat customers!

I ordered the migas, and the amount of onions in the dish was overwhelming--so much so that it felt like I had ordered a plate of onions rather than migas. The masa cakes were definitely the standout item and were absolutely delicious. However, the rest of the dish fell short. The sauce was extremely rich, making it difficult to enjoy or finish the meal. That said, the restaurant itself is adorable, and our waiter was fantastic. The service and atmosphere were both great. While this breakfast wasn't a hit for me, I'll still return and stick with favorites like the fried green tomatoes and taquito salad, which were excellent during my previous visit.

Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend making a reservation since it tends to get pretty busy, especially during peak hours.

They specialize in crepes. They have a handful of small tables as well as couch seating. You place your order at the counter then the staff brings it to you once it's ready. I ordered my go-to drink, an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon as well as their Lox n' found croiffin. The latte was great. The Lox n' found croiffin comes with a toasted croissant roll, smoked salmon, ricotta, avocado, arugula, capers, pickled onions and dill. I added an egg for an additional charge of $2. This was a beautiful and tasty sandwich! It was very filling, too. I highly recommend checking out this unique spot!

It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. The menu says it also comes with a side of roasted potatoes, but mine didn't come with that. The sandwich was delicious and filling, so I definitely didn't need them, but I do feel like I didn't get what I paid for.
