This has nothing to do with their work, it's probably fantastic. But to want to charge me for a plug on a nail in my tire for 40 dollars is grimy, cause I'm a female is wild. My husband is a mechanic and I'm no sucker. I get maybe 25 dollars cause "inflation", but man that's just outrageous and disrespectful to my kind. I reluctantly pulled up since my usual spot Azteca Tires on San Fernando is closed today dec 5 Friday, they charge me 10 bucks and I tip the dude 10 dollars anyway cause I'm a good tipper. Our GMC started smoking/ the check engine light was flashing on the freeway and we happened to find Miranda's by chance. They were able to take us right away despite being late on a Saturday. Our mechanic Juan was amazing. He was honest and straight forward. He kept us updated throughout the week he worked on the engine and sent us photos of anything worked on. The shop was recommended by a friend. Wanted a quote to repair a damaged rim. The owner was very friendly. He gave us a quote and offered to repair a minor dent. Very reasonable quote. Came here because I needed a used tire because the place I go to down the street was closed. When I arrived the guy there was helpful and didn't have my right size tire but said he would call his other shop down the street. When I asked for the price at the location I was at he said the guy was already on his way. Then this tiny man arrived in a tiny car with two used tires, I said I only needed one, and he said I could choose either one. When I asked for the price he told me $70. I told him I was looking to pay about $40 which is what I normally pay for a used tire at the place down the street. This got the tiny man riled up and told me that these are the prices because the rent prices are high in the area and that those were prices from a long time ago. When I told him I just bought a used tire for that price a month ago at a shop a few blocks away he walked away. He then returned two minutes later to tell the guy that originally helped me to kick out a customer next time that asks for a used tire for about $40. Not only was the tire overpriced, but the response was rude and unprofessional. I ended up going about a mile away to get what I was looking for at another shop for a good price and respectful professional employees. read more

I stopped at this shop to remove a nail from my tire and I was charged $40 . Most of shops charge an average of $20. It takes, literally 10-15 minutes to patch a tire! The guy told me , I needed new tires asap because my tires were not reliable anymore . I went to two other shops after I visited Miranda's tires and they told my tires were perfectly fine. Went in today to just put a new tire on my rim since I got a flat . Ask how much to switch out tire since I brought in a new tire and wheel off the truck already and was told $20. After tire was changed in like 10 min the guy say it's $40. After I told him you told me $20 and there no way a 10 min job should cost $40 he started getting aggressive towards me . I highly recommend you avoid this shop at all cost if they would do something like this over something as small as changing a tire out. When I say that I've passed Miranda's thousands of times, that's an understatement. I live over the hill just a few mins away and have always seen Miranda's. Recently we took in our m240i to get a wheel lock off that a previous tire shop butchered, they were able to get it off as the other shop couldn't. We thought we'd bring the car back since they did such good work getting the lock off, to have them mount and balance and align a new set of Ray Volk wheels for the same car! We ran into some fitment issues, to cut a long story short, the $4500 wheels we just purchased were NOT gonna fit on the car LOL. Now that's a bummer... the master fitment guys worked their magic and when I say this car is sitting nice and feeling nice... I mean it. Probably the only m240i running 9.5in volks all the way around here in socal . Everyone at Miranda's is top notch, super knowledgeable and super friendly. I will no longer be going to my long time regular tire shop that I and my family have been going to, and will now be going to Miranda's! Thanks again you guys! read more

I have been here before years ago.. They use to be be owned by a nice husband and wife .. now they changed hands.. they Tried to upsell me .. from a patch to a whole new tire. Wouldn't let me leave until I paid them 30.00 just to check and to tell me that they couldn't patch it up because they didn't have the equipment to patch it up .they could have just said that from the beginning . Shop Lady has a horrible attitude and IS money hungry. We called the shop and got an estimate over the phone, then we told her we were on the way. We got here ,we tell her we are the ones that were just on the phone and reminded her on the price she had said. When they placed the tires , she hiked the price and when I told her that was not what we agreed on. She told her men to take the tires. Placed my old tires without air and told me to leave. These clowns charged me $25.00 to patch up a tire and still had the audacity to ask for tip. To top it off they told me I needed new shocks and new brake pads on all 4 tires (I had recently changed my brake pads so I knew they were just trying to rip me off). My car is less than 3 years old and has very low mileage. Save your time and money go to a place that's not trying to rip you off. read more

Came here to have the psi on my tires adjusted. The guy originally told me the price was $25 if my tire needed to be patched. No repairs were made, only air was put in the tires. When I asked the price, only as a courtesy, because I've never been charged to put air in my tires, I was told the price was $40. When I question the price, they then told me he misquoted the price to patch the tire, because my tire is 21" it should have been $40 to patch it. They totally tried to take advantage of me because I am a woman, little did they know, they only screwed themselves out of more business. At the end of the day, I won. I was going to bring my other vehicle for major repairs and routine maintenance, but they showed their asses over $40, which I'm sure would save me a whole lot money in the long run. read more

Had an accident near the exit of the 110 freeway right across the street from the shop. Ran something on the road. Never found what it was. But it ripped my tire and my rim all the way around. Walked over to the shop. Told them what happened. They acted pretty fast at assisting me. One of the guys went with me to help me change the tire and put the donut to drive it out of the freeway and into the shop. The rim was totalled and they ordered me a new one. They said it would take 3-4 days and that they would reach out to let me know when it arrived. This happened on a Tuesday. Saturday came didn't hear back. I called the shop Monday and there was no answer. I finally pulled up and they did have it. So just don't rely on the phone communication best go in person. Other than that they replaced my wheel and installed the new 2 front tires I bought else where for a $30/tire installation fee. $40 bucks for getting me out of the freeway. And $450 for the rim. Got the work done for me. Will be bringing in my bfs car in to replace his tires. read more

Please save your money and time. Had went in for a quote to get my lug nut fixed after it being broken at a tire shop they wanted to charge me 120 when I had the part in hand. Made up an excuse that they'd have to re program my car brakes completely. 100% money hungry, I asked him how much it would be for the computer and told me 170 an hour to reprogram it and later went onto say I'll cut you a deal and do 110 and hour. My workers aren't doing anything but working on our cars. Right when he said that I knew he wasn't a real mechanic. If you have any problem with your vehicle please take it else where. read more

My car's suspension broke off right down the street right before they closed. I was desperate to not leave my car on the street so I left it there with them, since I couldn't make it all the way to my mechanic. They were trying to charge me $800 to replace the suspension and another $100 for "diagnosing" the problem... AKA just looking under my car. I came right before they opened the next day to tow my car to my mechanics and they were insisting that I pay the "diagnosis" fee or overnight storage fee of $160 Then they told me they would've just left my car on the street in front of the shop if I didn't want work done to it but they never even told me that, otherwise that's what I would've done. They didn't want to give me my car back unless I paid at least $100. They also never gave me a receipt and only accept cash which seems like they're just trying to squeeze people dry. My own mechanic even advised they were overcharging. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place. read more

I flew to LA to buy a car from a tow yard. They had forgotten to mention that the brakes didn't work and suggested I make an 8hr drive using the hand brake as needed. I asked for directions to the nearest brake shop and they sent me to Miranda's. I explained my need to drive far north and they immediately dropped everything and put two guys on my job. The plot thickens. I don't mention i'm a fair mechanic as I watch. They determine they can't get any pressure to the brake calipers, fearing the lines are plugged. Car sat for 15 yrs. They pulled the master cylinder and showed me the old brake fluid was now a brown cement. Visions of having to pay for new lines, and rebuilt calipers amounting to $1500 was possible. End of day, they pushed brake cleaning fluid into the lines, and hoped it might flush in the morning. Got another room for the night. End of story is they removed 4 soft brake lines, cleaned them and blew out the hard lines. Lubricated the calipers to make them work, and installed front brake pads. Bill? $560 Oh, knowing i was traveling, they filled it with diesel for me. Nice honest guys! Juan and Jose are the best. I would know the difference. read more
