Very average, you can try if you don't have any options. Biryani was good, although it was a wrong order. I ordered lamb and they prepared a goat biryani and insisted it was the right order. Garlic naan was the worst garlic naan I ever ate. Tiny pieces of garlic you can see but can't taste. Website says they have 10% discount with phone orders but when you go to pick it up, they refuse saying they forgot to change the website. They're selling halal food but doing haram business. My daughter and I stumbled upon this restaurant after we found out the sushi spot was closed but we were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was very clean and seemed new. The wait staff was very attentive and the food came out quickly. We ordered chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, garlic naan and rice. The chicken was tender and the sauce was smooth and slightly creamy. Although it lacked a little depth in spices, it was still very tasty. I loved my palak paneer, it had medium heat and had a good amount of paneer. The naan completed the meal perfectly. We ran out of rice and they gave us more without extra charge! Also the entire restaurant feels like you're at home or at families home nice lighting great music and very very clean bathrooms were tidy and stocked . My friends and I were heading home on the train after a late afternoon Mariners baseball game when we decided to get something to eat. I wanted to find a restaurant that was near the Capitol Hill train station. I found this restaurant on Yelp and it was about a block away from the train station. One of my friends is vegan and my other friend is a vegetarian and the menu offered something for everyone! My friends ordered the Baingan Bhartha, garlic naan, Tikka Masala with tofu, two bowls of basmati rice, while I ordered the Mattar Paneer on the mild side. I can't eat spicy foods, but our server informed me that I would be missing the taste of the spices, which is at the heart of the dish. He talked me into changing my order to medium spice level. When my dish arrived, I took a small spoonful of sauce and paneer and added it to my rice - it was delicious! I'm glad the server convinced me to try the "medium" spice level - it was favorable and the paneer tasted fresh! I usually order Saag Paneer, but this wasn't on their menu. The Mattar Paneer dish was in a tomato sauce and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the lightness of the tomato sauce and the flavors of spices in the sauce were so good! At the end of our meal we had leftover Tikka Masala tofu, my tomato sauce, rice and garlic naan. My friend took the leftovers to eat for lunch the next day. We were glad we found this restaurant and it being so close to Capitol Hill station makes it so convenient to return and try more dishes. read more

I stopped in for dinner and ordered the following: - Samosas - Butter chicken - Plain naan - Paneer naan * SERVICE * The guys that run the place are kind and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The food was also quick which made our visit that much better because we were HANGRY! * FOOD * You really can't go wrong with naan. Like many other Indian spots I've tried, the naan was delicious. The paneer naan was good, but not my favorite. The butter chicken was so tasty but I felt like it was missing something. A hint or punch or kick of something... it was buttery, for sure, but I feel like it needed something to balance out that buttery-ness. Maybe some citrus or spice to cut through it a bit. Nonetheless, it was good! The samosas were sooo buttery and I loved it. Even though the restaurant wasn't crowded when we walked in, they were swamped with a bunch of take out orders. Stopped here for the lunch buffet on a Sunday. The restaurant space is nice. It's inviting and clean. The food was okay. The butter chicken was the highlight, and it was excellent. The tandoori chicken was dry. The other dishes were good, if pedestrian, versions of classic dishes. Service was friendly and helpful. I have lived by this place for a while, but had never stopped in. The lady who threads my brows is Indian and highly recommended it. So naturally, me being a foodie, I stopped by, and am so glad I did. First off, the customer service was exceptional. They were very nice and kind. They have a buffet that runs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. It is delicious. I had the buffet and had vegetable rice with chicken curry and butter chicken. I also had their salad and the pickled carrots. It was all delicious. The buffet also includes Naan that they bring out to you. The food was very fresh and just the right amount of spice. They continually checked on me and asked me what I needed. After the meal was over, they even followed up with me to see how I enjoyed the food. That was a nice gesture I appreciated. Also, when I checked in on Yelp, a 15% off coupon appeared, however that coupon cannot be used with the buffet, but I was okay with that. Still, check in and you may get a coupon. When my order was out, I just grabbed it and left, not checking what was actually inside. However, after a few moments, I decided to look because it seem pretty heavy. My order came in 4 containers! 2 rice container and 2 curry container! It was a lot of food! I'm not sure if they made a mistake or if that's just their normal portion but I was able to have that meal for both lunch and dinner and still have leftover rice! The basmati rice was really good! It was smooth and has a nice flavor. The curry was filled with chicken (did not skimp on that) but didn't really taste the mango in it. They didn't include any sort of chutney to moisten/flavor the meal. Also I found it odd that there was a whole portion of broccoli and carrots ... in Indian food? Never seen that before. This place was a little disappointing for takeout. Maybe it was the items I ordered, but I couldn't really enjoy the taste of the dishes. I ordered the Baingan Bharta and Spinach Garlic stuffen naan through Doordash. The naan was soggy and had clumps of garlic on top. It was stuffed with spinach, but I wasn't even sure whether I was eating naan or not. Maybe I should have ordered the regular naan, but I expected a bit more if it was a unique dish that isn't usually there at Indian restaurants. I ordered the spicy Baingan Bharta and it wasn't spicy nor did it have the right taste. That didn't feel like I was eating eggplant curry either. I think they may have burned the curry a bit as eggplant is hard to cook, but it was unfortunate that I couldn't at least taste a bit of it. Ordered a samosa and Fish biryani on doordash. First, they messed up the spice level in my biryani as it was supposed to be really spicy. Second, the biryani wasnt exactly biryani but more like rice and fish cooked together, thats not a biryani man. Takeout is quick and fresh. I got the mango chicken curry and the mint naan, which was delicious. It was a bit pricy but it's definitely more like two portions in one anyways. I am updating this review. I had a very bad experience with takeout, including very burned bread and chicken that tasted bad, pungent and off, and some bad customer service in response to these issues, which I posted about here earlier. The meal was bad enough that I did not eat any of it but threw it away and ordered something else. The manager immediately reached out to me after my posting here to offer a refund, apologize and ask for a second chance. I understand that kitchens can get overwhelmed and sometimes things can go wrong. I appreciate the generous response.
