    Garlic Naan

Fantastic! Hamilton finally has an Indian restaurant! I ordered the traditional Chicken Tikka Masala and it was perfect and the exact heat level I requested. I also had the Garlic Naan and it was excellent. Very well done.

Phenomenal food and service. You have to give this place a try if you're in the area and like Indian food.

The food tasted authentic, and every entrée was well prepared. They offer a great variety of curries, all of which were rich, flavorful, and satisfying! The lamb curry was especially good. The meat was tender and delicious. My only wish is that there had been a little more lamb in it! I also tried the garlic naan. It was good, but it wasn't quite as good as the best garlic naan I've ever had, which was served steaming hot, extra buttery, and packed with a strong garlic flavor. The complimentary mango drink was a nice touch and tasted great. They also offer ice cream for dessert. I tried the Campfire S'mores flavor as well as the Chocolate Brownie Pretzel flavor, and both were a perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and even has what appears to be a private dining area in the back. The weekday lunch buffet is available until 2:30 p.m., and on weekends it's served until around 4:00 p.m. The weekend buffet is $16 per person. The buffet is a great value considering the quality and variety of the food. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!

The food was DELICIOUS- I got the chana masala, garlic naan, and a mango lassi, all of which were some of the best I've ever had, and my dining companion got the chicken chow mein, which they loved and said was elevated by the two types of onions used and the lime on top. We both are wusses and only got the spice level of two- I personally would go up to a three or four next time, and my dining partner said that they would stay at a two (their spice tolerance is lower than mine). With tip, we paid around $42, which we felt was very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. The restaurant was very empty on for a Saturday night- when we walked in around 6:00 PM, there was a couple that was packing up to leave, and a few delivery drivers came in to collect orders, but for the most part, it was just us, which needs to be rectified, as Hot N Spicy Restaurant and Bar is truly fantastic. The only thing we could think of was that the location wasn't optimal for attracting attention from potential customers passing by (it's in a strip mall, sandwiched between a Goodwill and a Habitat for Humanity ReStore), and people just don't know it's there? Overall, we can't wait to come back, and we're excited to tell all of our family and friends about this hidden gem so that they'll come try it too!

We returned to Little India to celebrate our youngest son Taz turning 16…read more This was not our first visit. We keep coming back because the food is consistently good. My son ordered the chicken tikka masala with a spice rating of 3. It had great flavor and just the right amount of heat. Rich sauce and generous portions. He paired it with regular naan and a mango lassi. The naan came out warm and soft. The mango lassi was cold, smooth, and refreshing. I ordered the chicken tandoori with cheese naan and a Coke. I went with spice level 1, which was mild and still full of flavor. The chicken had a nice grilled taste and stayed juicy. The cheese naan was excellent. We also grabbed two bottles of water. The total bill came to about $60. For a family dinner with good portions, that felt very reasonable. Service was friendly and the food came out hot. The relaxed atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the evening and celebrate a milestone birthday. A solid spot in Oxford when you want good Indian food and a welcoming place to celebrate.

I'm just saying: The flavor is real. The portions are a good size, they'll spice it up for you or keep it chill, and they've got a lot of options on the menu. I do wish they had more bread choices other than just naan, but whatever - it's not like I've got an Indian restaurant, so I've gotta take what I can get. The inside seems decent, and they had cricket on the TV last time I was in there which is a way better sport than baseball, so yeah. And if you just stop in and order and then carry it out, they're really quick, so you don't even have to wait that long. Just go next door to the smoke shop and look at all the weird stuff then come back over 10 minutes later and you've got your food.
